2.3 Konstruktion
Die Dynamische Einheit besteht aus einem zweiteiligen Gehäuse mit innen
liegender Feder. Über die Hohlschnecke (Pos.8) wird die Federkraft stufen
los eingestellt. Die eingestellte Federkraft wird in der Federkraftanzeige
(Pos.4) angezeigt. Die Winkelstellung des Orthesengelenks wird über die
Winkelstellungsanzeige (Pos.3) an der Dynamischen Einheit dargestellt.
2.4 Zubehör
Zur Stabilität der Orthese empfehlen wir die Verwendung des Mitläuferge
lenks 17BK3*.
3 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
3.1 Verwendungszweck
Die Dynamische Einheit 17BK2* ist ausschließlich in Verbindung mit dem
Statischen Korrekturgelenk 17BK1* einzusetzen. Die Dynamische Einheit

17BK2* ist ausschließlich für die orthetische Versorgung der oberen bzw.
unteren Extremität (Hand-, Ellenbogen-, Knie- oder Knöchelgelenk) einzuset
zen und in Lagerungsorthesen zu verwenden.
3.2 Indikationen
• Funktionelle Gelenkkontrakturen
Die Indikation wird vom Arzt gestellt.
3.3 Kontraindikationen

3.3.2 Relative Kontraindikationen
Bei nachfolgenden Begleitsymptomen ist eine Rücksprache mit dem Arzt er
forderlich: Hauterkrankungen und -verletzungen, insbesondere bei entzünd
lichen Veränderungen, aufgeworfene Narben mit Schwellung, Rötung und
Überwärmung im versorgten Körperabschnitt; Lymphabflussstörungen –
auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern des Hilfsmittels; Empfin
dungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen.

►Verwenden Sie das Produkt nur in Lagerungsorthesen.

►Verwenden Sie das Produkt nur für den definierten Einsatzbereich.

5 Herstellung der Gebrauchsfähigkeit

lenks steht auf grün. In der Federkraftanzeige (Pos.4) der Dynamischen
Einheit wird der Bereich weiß dargestellt.

1) Den Aufnahmebolzen (Pos.10) in die Gewindebohrung (Pos.11) des
Orthesengelenks schrauben und festziehen (Drehmoment beachten, sie
he vorherige Tabelle).
2) Die Führungsachse (Pos.1) mit Schmiermittel 633F7 fetten.
3) Die Dynamische Einheit mit der Führungsachse (Pos.1) in die Aufnah
mebohrung (Pos.12) des Orthesengelenks stecken. INFORMATION:
Der Gelenkadapter (Pos.9) wird dabei auf dem Aufnahmebolzen
(Pos.10) positioniert.
4) Die Senkschraube (Pos.5) durch die Bohrung (Pos.2) stecken und im
Orthesengelenk (Pos.14) einschrauben. Die Schraube mit Loctite241
sichern.
→Die Dynamische Einheit ist am Orthesengelenk fixiert.
6 Gebrauch
HINWEIS
Funktionsverlust durch falsche Einstellung der Feder
Verlust der Federspannung
►Nehmen Sie keine Einstellung vor, die die Feder beschädigt.
In diesem Kapitel lesen Sie, wie die Federkraft an der Dynamischen Einheit
eingestellt wird, und wie sie die temporäre Arretierung bedienen.
Federkraftanzeige (Pos.4)

1) Einen Sechskantschlüssel (Schlüsselweite 3mm) in die Hohlschnecke
(Pos.8) einstecken.
2) Die gewünschte Federkraft in den Stufen 1 bis 7 einstellen.
Dynamische Einheit arretieren
INFORMATION
Wird die Dynamische Einheit längere Zeit nicht verwendet, empfehlen wir
die Arretierung freizuschalten, um eine vorzeitige Ermüdung der Feder zu
vermeiden.
Die Dynamische Einheit kann in der Winkelstellung von -20° bis 90° bei an
liegender Federkraft mit dem Schalter (Pos.6) gesperrt werden.
1) Die Orthese in die gewünschte Winkelposition bringen und halten.

2) Den Schalter (Pos.6) verschieben bis der rote Punkt angezeigt wird.
3) Die Orthese in Steckung bewegen bis die Sperre hörbar einrastet.
→Die Orthese ist in Flexions- und Extensionsrichtung gesperrt.
Arretierung aufheben
1) Den Schalter (Pos.6) verschieben bis der grüne Punkt angezeigt wird.
2) Die Orthese gegen die Federkraft beugen, bis die Sperre hörbar entrie
gelt.
→Die voreingestellte Federkraft der Dynamischen Einheit ist in Funk
tion.
7 Reinigung
Die Orthesengelenke müssen nach dem Kontakt mit salz-, chlor- oder sei
fenhaltigen Wasser oder bei Verschmutzungen umgehend gereinigt werden.
1) Die Orthesengelenke mit reinem Süßwasser abspülen.
2) Die Orthesengelenke mit einem Tuch abtrocknen oder an der Luft trock
nen lassen. Direkte Hitzeeinwirkung vermeiden (z.B. Ofen- oder Heiz
körperhitze).
8 Wartung
HINWEIS
Unsachgemäßes Öffnen des Produkts
Beschädigung der Komponenten
►Öffnen Sie das Produkt nicht auf der Unterseite.
INFORMATION
Möglicherweise ist das Produkt patientenspezifisch einer erhöhten
Belastung ausgesetzt.
►Verkürzen Sie die Wartungsintervalle gemäß den zu erwartenden Be
lastungen.
Der Hersteller empfiehlt eine halbjährliche Funktions- und Verschleißkontrol
le der Orthesengelenke.
Die Ersatzteile sind im Kapitel Produktbeschreibung unter „Bauteile“ aufge
führt.
9 Entsorgung
Das Produkt gemäß den geltenden nationalen Vorschriften entsorgen.

2 Product description

2.3 Design
The dynamic unit consists of a two-piece housing with an interior spring. The
spring force can be continuously adjusted using the hollow screw (item8).
The adjusted spring force is displayed in the spring force display (item4).
The angular position of the orthotic joint is displayed via the angular position
display (item3) on the dynamic unit.
2.4 Options
We recommend using the 17BK3* medial support to stabilise the orthosis.
3 Intended use
3.1 Indications for use
The 17BK2* dynamic unit may only be used in combination with the 17BK1*
static correction joint. The 17BK2* dynamic unit may only be used for orthot
ic treatment of the upper or lower limbs (hand, elbow, knee or ankle joint)
and in positioning orthoses.
3.2 Indications
• Functional joint contractures
Indications must be determined by the physician.

The following accompanying symptoms require consultation with a physi
cian: skin diseases and injuries, especially in case of inflammatory changes,
prominent scars with swelling, reddening and hyperthermia in the area
treated; lymphatic flow disorders, including unclear soft tissue swelling
distal to the device; sensory and circulatory disorders.

5 Preparation for use

Prerequisite: The position of the adjustment lever (item13) on the orthotic
joint is set to green. The area in the spring force display (item4) on the
dynamic unit is white.
1) Screw the locating bolt (item10) into the threaded bore (item11) of the
orthotic joint and tighten it (observe the torque, see previous table).
2) Grease the guide axle (item1) with 633F7 lubricant.
3) Insert the dynamic unit and the guide axle (item1) into the locating bore
(item12) of the orthotic joint. INFORMATION: The joint adapter
(item9) is positioned on the locating bolt (item10).
4) Insert the countersunk head screw (item5) through the bore hole
(item2) and screw it into the orthotic joint (item14). Secure the screw
with Loctite241.
→The dynamic unit is fastened to the orthotic joint.

how to operate the temporary locking mechanism.

Adjusting the spring force
1) Insert an Allen key (size: 3mm) into the hollow screw (item8).
2) Set the desired spring force from levels 1 through 7.

Locking the dynamic unit
INFORMATION
If the dynamic unit is not used for extended periods of time, we recom
mend disengaging the locking mechanism to prevent the spring from wear
ing out prematurely.
The switch (item6) can be used to lock the dynamic unit in an angular posi
tion from -20° to 90° under tension.
1) Bring the orthosis to the desired angle position and hold it there.
2) Slide the switch (item6) until the red dot is displayed.
3) Move the orthosis into extension until you hear the locking mechanism
engage.
→The orthosis is locked in the flexion and extension directions.
Releasing the lock
1) Slide the switch (item6) until the green dot is displayed.
2) Flex the orthosis against the spring force until you hear the lock disen
gage.
→The preset spring force of the dynamic unit is activated.
7 Cleaning
After contact with water containing salt, chlorine or soap, or if they get dirty,
the orthotic joints must be promptly cleaned.
1) Rinse the orthotic joints with clean fresh water.
2) Dry the orthotic joints with a cloth or allow them to air dry. Avoid expos
ure to direct heat (e.g.from an oven or radiator).
8 Maintenance
NOTICE
Improper opening of the product

►Do not open the product on the bottom.
INFORMATION
The product may be exposed to increased loads by the patient.
►Shorten the maintenance intervals according to the expected loads.
The manufacturer recommends a semi-annual inspection to verify functional
ity and check for wear and tear to the orthotic joints.

Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.

2.3 Construction
L’unité dynamique est constituée de deux parties et d’un ressort interne. La
vis creuse (pos.8) permet de régler en continu la force du ressort. La force
du ressort réglée est affichée sur l’indicateur de force du ressort (pos.4).
L’angle d’inclinaison de l’articulation d’orthèse peut être consulté sur
l’indicateur de l’angle d’inclinaison (pos.3) de l’unité dynamique.
2.4 Accessoires
Pour la stabilité de l’orthèse, nous conseillons d’utiliser l’articulation de sta
bilisation 17BK3*.
3 Utilisation conforme
3.1 Usage prévu
L’unité dynamique 17BK2* est exclusivement destinée à une utilisation
avec l’articulation de correction statique 17BK1*. L’unité dynamique 17BK2*
est exclusivement destinée à l’appareillage orthétique des membres supé
rieurs ou inférieurs (poignet, articulation du coude, du genou ou de la che
ville) et dans des orthèses de positionnement.
3.2 Indications

Les symptômes concomitants suivants requièrent la consultation d’un méde
cin: lésions ou affections cutanées, notamment altérations inflammatoires,

dans la zone du corps appareillée, troubles de la circulation lymphatique et
également œdèmes inexpliqués des parties molles éloignées du dispositif
médical, troubles de la perception et de la circulation.
