Die Gebrauchsanweisung gibt Ihnen wichtige Informationen für das Anpas
sen und Anlegen der Handgelenkbandage ManuSensa 50P13.
2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
2.1 Verwendungszweck
Die Bandage ist ausschließlich zur Versorgung der oberen Extremität ein
zusetzen und ausschließlich für den Kontakt mit intakter Haut bestimmt.
Die Bandage muss indikationsgerecht eingesetzt werden.
2.2 Indikationen
Die Indikation wird vom Arzt gestellt.
• Reizzustände (z.B. Tendovaginitiden, Tendomyopathien, leichte Gelenk
ergüsse, posttraumatische [Distorsionen], postoperative, reaktive Reiz
zustände und Arthralgien)
• Rheumatoide Arthritis
• Karpaltunnelsyndrom
• Arthrose des Handgelenks
• Instabilitätsgefühl
2.3 Kontraindikationen
2.3.1 Absolute Kontraindikationen
Nicht bekannt.
2.3.2 Relative Kontraindikationen
Bei nachfolgenden Indikationen ist eine Rücksprache mit dem Arzt erforder
lich: Hauterkrankungen/-verletzungen, Entzündungen, aufgeworfene Narben
mit Schwellung, Rötung und Überwärmung im versorgten Körperabschnitt;
Krampfadern stärkeren Ausmaßes, insbesondere mit Rückfluss-Störungen,
Lymphabfluss-Störungen – auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern

des Hilfsmittels; Empfindungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen im Bereich des
Unterarms und der Hand, z.B. bei diabetischer Neuropathie.
2.4 Wirkungsweise
Die formgestrickte Bandage dient der gezielten Kompression und Stabilisie
rung des Handgelenks. Die Bandage unterstützt die Sensomotorik und akti
viert die muskuläre Stabilisierung. Die anatomisch vorgeformte und individu
ell anpassbare volare Kunststoffschiene sichert die optimale Positionierung
der Hand und dient der Bewegungslimitierung des Handgelenks. Die Pelot
te im radialen Bereich des Handgelenks verstärkt die Druckmassage und
fördert die Resorption von Ödemen, Hämatomen und Ergüssen.
3 Sicherheit

4 Handhabung
INFORMATION
►Die tägliche Tragedauer und der Anwendungszeitraum werden in der
Regel vom Arzt festgelegt.
►Die erstmalige Anpassung und Anwendung des Produkts darf nur
durch Fachpersonal erfolgen.
►Weisen Sie den Patienten in die Handhabung und Pflege des Produkts
ein.
►Weisen Sie den Patienten darauf hin, dass er umgehend einen Arzt
aufsuchen soll, wenn er außergewöhnliche Veränderungen an sich
feststellt (z.B. Zunahme der Beschwerden).
4.1 Auswählen der Größe
1) Den Handgelenkumfang messen.
2) Die Bandagengröße ermitteln (siehe Größentabelle).
4.2 Anpassen
HINWEIS
Unsachgemäßes Anformen oder Anlegen
Beschädigungen am Produkt durch Überbelastung des Materials und
falscher Sitz des Produkts durch Bruch tragender Teile
►Das Produkt darf nur durch Fachpersonal angeformt werden.

►Legen Sie das Produkt immer gemäß den Anweisungen in der Anlei
tung an.
Die Kunststoffschiene ist anatomisch vorgeformt. Die Schiene kann zur An
passung durch Erwärmung individuell geformt werden.
1) Die Schiene mit einem Heißluftgebläse erwärmen.
2) Die Schiene formen.
3) Die Schiene aushärten lassen.
4) Die Schiene in die Tasche auf der Innenseite der Bandage führen (siehe
Abb.1).

4.3 Anlegen
VORSICHT
Falsches oder zu festes Anlegen
Hautirritationen durch Überwärmung, lokale Druckerscheinungen durch zu
festes Anliegen am Körper
►Stellen Sie das korrekte Anlegen und den korrekten Sitz des Produkts
sicher.
►Verwenden Sie das Produkt bei auftretenden Hautirritationen im Zwei
felsfall nicht weiter.
HINWEIS
Verwendung eines verschlissenen oder beschädigten Produkts
Eingeschränkte Wirkung
►Prüfen Sie das Produkt vor jedem Gebrauch auf Funktionstüchtigkeit,
Verschleiß und Beschädigungen.
►Verwenden Sie ein nicht mehr funktionstüchtiges, verschlissenes oder
beschädigtes Produkt nicht weiter.
1) Die Bandage über die Hand ziehen, dabei den Daumen durch die klei
nere Öffnung führen (siehe Abb.2).
2) Optional: Der mitgelieferte Gurt kann zur zusätzlichen Stabilisierung
verwendet werden.  Den elastischen Gurt um das Handgelenk ziehen
und am Klettverschluss schließen (siehe Abb.4).
3) Den richtigen Sitz der Bandage überprüfen.
5 Reinigung
HINWEIS
Verwendung falscher Reinigungsmittel
Beschädigung des Produktes durch falsche Reinigungsmittel
►Reinigen Sie das Produkt nur mit den zugelassenen Reinigungsmitteln.
1) Alle Kunststoffschienen entfernen.
2) Alle Klettverschlüsse schließen.
3) Empfehlung: Waschbeutel oder -netz verwenden.
4) Die Bandage in 30°C warmen Wasser mit einem handelsüblichen Fein
waschmittel waschen. Keinen Weichspüler verwenden. Gut ausspülen.
5) An der Luft trocknen lassen. Direkte Hitzeeinwirkung vermeiden (z.B.
durch Sonnenbestrahlung, Ofen- oder Heizkörperhitze).
6) Die Kunststoffschienen wieder einsetzen.

6 Entsorgung
Das Produkt gemäß den geltenden nationalen Vorschriften entsorgen.
7 Rechtliche Hinweise
Alle rechtlichen Bedingungen unterliegen dem jeweiligen Landesrecht des
Verwenderlandes und können dementsprechend variieren.
7.1 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet, wenn das Produkt gemäß den Beschreibungen und
Anweisungen in diesem Dokument verwendet wird. Für Schäden, die durch
Nichtbeachtung dieses Dokuments, insbesondere durch unsachgemäße
Verwendung oder unerlaubte Veränderung des Produkts verursacht werden,

Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen der europäischen Richtlinie
93/42/EWG für Medizinprodukte. Aufgrund der Klassifizierungskriterien

These instructions for use provide important information on the fitting and
application of the 50P13 ManuSensa wrist support.
2 Intended use
2.1 Indications for use
The support is intended exclusively for treating the upper limbs and exclu
sively for contact with intact skin.
The support must be used according to the indication.

2.2 Indications
The indication must be determined by the physician.
• Irritation (e.g. tendovaginitis, tendomyopathy, minor joint effusion, post-
traumatic [sprains], post-operative, reactive irritation, and arthralgia)
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Carpal tunnel syndrome
• Osteoarthritis of the wrist
• Feeling of instability
2.3 Contraindications
2.3.1 Absolute Contraindications
None known.
2.3.2 Relative Contraindications
The following indications require consultation with a physician: skin dis
eases/injuries, inflammation, prominent, swollen scars, reddening and
hyperthermia in the relevant area; pronounced varicose veins, especially with
impaired blood return, lymph drainage disorders and unclear soft tissue
swelling distal to the product; sensory and circulatory disorders in the area
of the forearm and hand, e.g. associated with diabetic neuropathy.
2.4 Mechanism of Action
The form-knitted support provides targeted wrist compression and stabiliza
tion. The support promotes sensorimotor functions and activates muscular
stabilization. The anatomically pre-shaped and individually adaptable volar
plastic splint keeps the hand in an ideal position and limits wrist movement.
The pad in the radial section of the wrist enhances the micro-massage and
promotes the resorption of edemas, hematomas and effusions.
3 Safety

4 Handling
INFORMATION
►The daily duration of use and period of application are generally deter
mined by the physician.
►The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by
qualified personnel.
►Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
►Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional
changes are noted (e.g. worsening of the complaint).
4.1 Selecting the Size
1) Measure the wrist circumference.
2) Determine the size of the support (see size chart).
4.2 Adaptation

Improper molding or application
Damage to the product due to overloading of the material and improper fit

►The product may only be molded by qualified personnel.
►Do not make any improper changes to the product.

►Always apply the product according to the information in the instruc
tions.
The plastic splint is anatomically pre-shaped. The splint can be heated and
then individually shaped.
1) Heat the splint using a hot air gun.
2) Shape the splint.
3) Allow the splint to harden.
4) Insert the splint into the pocket on the inside of the support (see fig.1).
4.3 Application
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application

cation to the body
►Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.
►When in doubt, do not continue to use the product if skin irritation
occurs.

Use of a worn or damaged product

►Before each use, check the product for functional reliability and for
possible wear or damage.
►Do not continue using a product that is no longer functional, or that is
worn or damaged.
1) Pull the support over the hand, guiding the thumb through the smaller
opening (see fig.2).
2) Optional: The supplied strap can be used for additional stabilization. 
Pull the elastic strap around the wrist and fasten the hook-and-loop clo
sure (see fig.4).
3) Check the proper fit of the support.
5 Cleaning
NOTICE
Use of improper cleaning agents
Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents
►Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.

1) Remove all plastic splints.
2) Fasten all hook-and-loop closures.
3) Recommendation: Use a laundry bag or net.
4) Wash the support in warm water at 86°F with standard mild detergent.
Do not use fabric softener. Rinse thoroughly.
5) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat sources (e.g. sunlight,
stove or radiator).
6) Reinsert the plastic splints in the support.
6 Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.
7 Legal Information
All legal conditions are subject to the respective national law of the country
of use and may vary accordingly.
7.1 Liability
The manufacturer shall be liable in the event that the product is used in
accordance with the descriptions and instructions in this document. The
manufacturer will not assume liability for damage caused by disregarding the
information in this document, particularly due to improper use or unautho
rized modification of the product.
7.2 CE Conformity
This product meets the requirements of the European Directive 93/42/EEC
for medical devices. This product has been classified as a class I device
according to the classification criteria outlined in Annex IX of the directive.

2 Utilisation conforme
2.1 Usage prévu
L’orthèse est exclusivement destinée à un appareillage de l’extrémité supé
rieure et elle est conçue uniquement pour entrer en contact avec une peau
intacte.
Il est impératif d’utiliser l’orthèse conformément aux indications.
2.2 Indications
L’indication est déterminée par le médecin.
• Inflammations (par ex. tendovaginites, tendinopathies, faibles épanche
ments articulaires, états d’irritations réactifs post-traumatiques [en
torses] et postopératoires ainsi qu’arthralgies)
• Arthrite rhumatoïde
• Syndrome du canal carpien
• Arthrose du poignet
• Sensation d’instabilité
2.3 Contre-indications
2.3.1 Contre-indications absolues

Les indications suivantes requièrent la consultation d’un médecin: lésions
ou affections cutanées; inflammations; cicatrices exubérantes avec
œdème; rougeurs et hyperthermie dans la zone du corps appareillée; va
rices importantes, en particulier avec troubles du reflux veineux, troubles de
la circulation lymphatique et également œdèmes inexpliqués des parties
molles du côté distal par rapport à l’orthèse; troubles de la perception et de
la circulation sanguine dans la zone de l’avant-bras et de la main, par
exemple en cas de neuropathie diabétique.
2.4 Effets thérapeutiques
L’orthèse tricotée avec une forme anatomique permet de comprimer et de
stabiliser le poignet. Elle favorise la sensori-motricité et stimule ainsi la stabi
lisation musculaire. L’attelle palmaire en plastique épouse les formes de
l’anatomie et peut être ajustée à chaque patient. Cette attelle garantit un po
sitionnement optimal de la main et sert à limiter les mouvements du poignet.

La pelote située dans la partie radiale du poignet renforce le massage par
pression et favorise la résorption des œdèmes, des hématomes et des épan
chements.
3 Sécurité

4 Manipulation
INFORMATION
►En général, le médecin détermine la durée quotidienne du port du pro
duit et sa période d’utilisation.
►Seul le personnel spécialisé est habilité à procéder au premier ajuste
ment et à la première utilisation du produit.
►Apprenez au patient comment manipuler et entretenir correctement le
produit.
►Indiquez au patient qu'il doit immédiatement consulter un médecin s'il
constate des changements anormaux sur sa personne (par ex. une
augmentation des douleurs).
4.1 Sélection de la taille
1) Mesurez la circonférence du poignet.
2) Sélectionnez la taille de l’orthèse (voir tableau des tailles).
4.2 Ajustement

►Seul le personnel spécialisé est autorisé à procéder à l’ajustement du
produit.

►Pour la mise en place, veuillez respecter les instructions des présentes
instructions d’utilisation.
L’attelle en plastique est conçue de façon à déjà épouser les formes de
l’anatomie. Elle peut être ajustée à l’anatomie individuelle du patient. Pour
cela, elle est modelée sous l’effet de la chaleur.
1) Chauffez l’attelle avec un pistolet à air chaud.
2) Modelez l’attelle.
3) Laissez l’attelle durcir.
4) Introduisez l’attelle dans la poche intérieure de l’orthèse (voir ill.1).

4.3 Mise en place
PRUDENCE
Mise en place incorrecte du produit ou serrage excessif
Irritations cutanées dues à une hyperthermie, pressions locales en raison
d’un serrage excessif sur le corps
►Assurez-vous que le produit est mis en place correctement et qu’il est
bien ajusté.
►En cas d’irritations cutanées, cessez dans le doute d’utiliser le produit.

1) Enfilez l’orthèse sur la main en introduisant le pouce dans la petite ou
verture (voir ill.2).
2) Facultatif: vous pouvez utiliser la sangle fournie pour une stabilisation
supplémentaire.  Passez la sangle élastique autour du poignet et fixez-la
avec la fermeture velcro (voir ill.4).
3) Vérifiez que l’orthèse est correctement posée.
5 Nettoyage
AVIS
Utilisation de détergents inadaptés
Dégradation du produit occasionnée par l’utilisation d’un détergent in
adapté
►Nettoyez le produit uniquement avec les détergents autorisés.
1) Retirez toutes les attelles en plastique.
2) Fermez toutes les fermetures velcro.
3) Recommandation: utilisez un sac ou un filet de lavage.
4) Lavez l’orthèse à 30°C avec une lessive pour linge délicat disponible
dans le commerce. N’utilisez pas d’assouplissant. Rincez bien.
5) Laissez sécher à l’air. Évitez toute source de chaleur directe (par ex. le
rayonnement solaire ou la chaleur d’un poêle/d’un radiateur).
6) Reposez les attelles en plastique.

6 Mise au rebut
Éliminez le produit conformément aux prescriptions nationales en vigueur.
7 Informations légales
Toutes les conditions légales sont soumises à la législation nationale du
pays d’utilisation concerné et peuvent donc présenter des variations en
conséquence.

In presenza delle seguenti controindicazioni è necessario consultare il medi
co: malattie/lesioni della pelle; infiammazioni, cicatrici in rilievo caratterizzate
da gonfiori, arrossamento e ipertermia della parte in cui è applicata l'ortesi;
vene varicose di ampia estensione, in particolare in caso di disturbi del cir
colo venoso; disturbi del flusso linfatico inclusi gonfiori dei tessuti molli non
identificati, indipendentemente dall'area del corpo in cui è applicata l'ortesi;
disturbi della sensibilità e circolatori dell'avambraccio e della mano, p. es.
nel caso di neuropatia diabetica.
2.4 Azione terapeutica
La fascia dal design anatomico svolge una compressione mirata e stabilizza
il polso. La fascia favorisce le funzioni sensomotorie conferendo stabilità mu
scolare. L'asta volare in plastica di forma anatomica e regolabile individual

4 Utilizzo
INFORMAZIONE
►È il medico a stabilire generalmente il tempo di impiego giornaliero e la
durata di utilizzo.
►La prima applicazione del prodotto e il relativo adattamento al corpo
del paziente devono essere eseguiti esclusivamente da personale spe
cializzato.
►Istruire il paziente circa l'uso e la cura corretti del prodotto.
►Il paziente deve essere informato della necessità di recarsi immediata
mente da un medico nel caso in cui notasse cambiamenti inusuali
(p.es. aumento dei disturbi).
4.1 Scelta della misura
1) Misurare la circonferenza del polso.
2) Determinare la misura della fascia (vedere tabella misure).

4.2 Adattamento

Danni al prodotto dovuti a sovraccarico del materiale e posizionamento er

►Il prodotto può essere adeguato solamente dal personale tecnico.
►Non eseguire alcuna modifica non appropriata del prodotto.
►Utilizzare sempre il prodotto conformemente a quanto indicato nelle
istruzioni.
L'asta in plastica ha forma anatomica. È possibile adattare l'asta alla forma
del corpo riscaldandola.
1) Riscaldare l'asta con un soffiatore di aria calda.
2) Sagomare l'asta.
3) Lasciar indurire l'asta.
4) Inserire l'asta nella tasca all'interno della fascia (v. fig.1).
4.3 Applicazione
CAUTELA
Applicazione errata o troppo stretta
Irritazioni cutanee dovute a riscaldamento eccessivo, formazione di punti di
pressione locali per applicazione troppo serrata sul corpo
►Accertarsi che il prodotto sia stato applicato e rimanga posizionato in
modo corretto.
►Nel dubbio, non utilizzare più il prodotto se insorgono irritazioni cuta

►Verificare la funzionalità, l'usura e l'eventuale danneggiamento del pro
dotto prima di ogni utilizzo.
►Non utilizzare più un prodotto non funzionante, usurato o danneggiato.
1) Tirare la fascia sopra la mano inserendo il pollice nell'apertura più picco
la (v. fig.2).
2) In opzione: utilizzare la cintura in dotazione per una maggiore stabilizza
zione del polso. Avvolgere la cintura elastica intorno al polso e chiudere
la chiusura a velcro (v. fig.4).
