Inspection, points to verify
Before each use
Verify that the product has no cracks, deformation, marks, excessive wear,
corrosion,etc.
Check the condition of the body, the connection hole, the side plates (deformation),
the cam and safety catch, and the cam axle. Check the effectiveness of the springs.
WARNING, do not use this rope clamp if it has missing or worn-out teeth.

During each use
It is important to regularly monitor the condition of the product and its connections
to the other equipment in the system. Make sure that all pieces of equipment in the
system are correctly positioned with respect to each other.
WARNING, be careful of:
- foreign bodies which can impede the operation of the cam,
- situations where the safety catch can snag and cause the cam to open.
Compatibility
Verify that this product is compatible with the other elements of the system in your
application (compatible= good functional interaction).
1. Installing the progress capture pulley
Move the cam up and swing open the moving side plate.
Put the rope into place (drawing engraved on the fixed side plate), close the side
plate and the cam, install the device on an anchor point and verify the rope is
correctly installed.
Warning, the MINITRAXION must be attached without obstruction. Its operation
must not be impeded, either by anything pressing on it, or by foreign bodies
(pebbles, twigs...). The cam must always be accessible.
2. Operational principle and test
The rope runs through the device in one direction and jams in the other direction.
The cam’s teeth initiate a clamping action that pinches the rope between the cam
and the frame.
Each time the device is installed onto the rope, verify that it jams in the desired
direction.
3. Hauling systems
3A. Efficiencies
Remember:dynamic movements of the load (“yo-yo” effect) and dynamic hauling
can multiply the forces on the anchor and on other elements of the system by a
factor of2 or 3. Check that the strengths of other components in the system are
compatible and avoid shock loading.
3B. Precautions
In certain cases (large diameter ropes, misaligned pulley, etc.) the cam’s teeth may
not engage properly with the rope and the jamming of the rope can be delayed or
compromised.
Before each use, be sure to test the compatibility of the MINITRAXION with the
other components of your system in a «safe» environment (with the load on
back-up belay).
4. Occasional rope climbing
The MINITRAXION can be used as a rope clamp/ grab for ascending a rope.
Warning:the MINITRAXION must not be used to anchor a rope for ascending.
Do not ascend above the rope clamp/ grab or the anchor point.
5. Horizontal progression
Progress capture device for ascending tyrolean traverses. Do not use this device in
the anchor system of a tyrolean.
Petzl general information
Lifetime/ When to retire your equipment
For Petzl’s plastic and textile products, the maximum lifetime is 10years from the
date of manufacture. It is indefinite for metallic products.
ATTENTION:an exceptional event can lead you to retire a product after only
one use, depending on the type and intensity of usage and the environment of
usage (harsh environments, sea, sharp edges, extreme temperatures, chemical
products,etc.).
A product must be retired when:
- It is over 10years old and made of plastic or textiles.
- It has been subjected to a major fall (or load).
- It fails to pass inspection. You have any doubt as to its reliability.
- You do not know its full usage history.
- When it becomes obsolete due to changes in legislation, standards, technique or
incompatibility with other equipment,etc.
Destroy retired equipment to prevent further use.
Product inspection
In addition to the inspection before each use, an in-depth inspection must be
carried out by a competent inspector. The frequency of the in-depth inspection
must be governed by applicable legislation, and the type and the intensity of use.
Petzl recommends an inspection at least once every 12months.
To help maintain product traceability, do not remove any markings or labels.
Inspection results should be recorded on a form with the following details:type of
equipment, model, manufacturer contact information, serial number or individual
number, date of manufacture, date of purchase, date of first use, date of next
periodic inspection, problems, comments, the name and signature of the inspector.

Storage, transport
Store the product in a dry place away from exposure to UV, chemicals, extreme
temperatures,etc. Clean and dry the product if necessary.
Modifications, repairs
Modifications and repairs outside of Petzl facilities are prohibited (except
replacement parts).
3-year guarantee
Against all material or manufacturing defect. Exclusions:normal wear and tear,
oxidation, modifications or alterations, incorrect storage, poor maintenance,
negligence, uses for which this product is not designed.

other type of damage befalling or resulting from the use of its products.

Contrôle, points à vérifier
Avant toute utilisation
Vérifiez sur le produit, l’absence de fissures, déformations, marques, usure,
corrosionetc.
Vérifiez l’état du corps, du trou de connexion, des flasques (déformation), de la
gâchette, du taquet de sécurité et l’axe de la gâchette. Contrôlez l’efficacité des
ressorts.
ATTENTION, si les dents sont usées ou manquantes, n’utilisez plus ce bloqueur.

Pendant l’utilisation
Il est important de contrôler régulièrement l’état du produit et de ses connexions
avec les autres équipements du système. Assurez-vous du bon positionnement des
équipements les uns par rapport aux autres.
ATTENTION:
- aux objets étrangers qui risquent de gêner le fonctionnement de la gâchette,
- aux éléments qui risquent d’accrocher le taquet et provoquer l’ouverture de la
gâchette.
Compatibilité
Vérifiez la compatibilité de ce produit avec les autres éléments du système dans
votre application (compatibilité=bonne interaction fonctionnelle).
1. Mise en place de la poulie bloqueur
Relevez la gâchette, écartez et faites pivoter le flasque mobile.
Mettez la corde en place (dessin gravé sur le flasque fixe), fermez le flasque
et la gâchette, installez l’ensemble sur un point d’amarrage et vérifiez le sens
d’installation de la corde.
Attention, la MINITRAXION doit être attachée librement. Son fonctionnement ne
doit être entravé ni par un appui, ni par des objets étrangers (cailloux, branches…).
La gâchette doit toujours être accessible.
2. Principe et test de fonctionnement
La corde coulisse dans l’appareil dans un sens et est bloquée dans l’autre sens.
Les dents de la gâchette amorcent le serrage puis la gâchette bloque la corde par
pincement.
Vérifiez, lors de chaque mise en place sur la corde, que l’appareil bloque dans le
sens souhaité.
3. Mouflages
3A. Rendements
Rappel:les mouvements dynamiques de la masse (effet «yo-yo») et le hissage
dynamique peuvent multiplier par 2 à 3les efforts sur le point d’ancrage et les
autres éléments du système. Vérifiez la compatibilité de résistance des autres
éléments du système et évitez les chocs.
3B. Précautions
Dans certains cas (cordes de gros diamètre, poulie désaxée...), les dents de la
gâchette peuvent ne pas mordre correctement la corde, le blocage de la corde peut
alors s’en trouver compromis ou retardé.
Avant toute utilisation, veillez à tester, dans une situation sécurisée (charge contre-
assurée), le fonctionnement de la MINITRAXION avec les autres équipements du
système.
4. Remontée occasionnelle sur corde
La MINITRAXION peut remplacer un bloqueur en situation de remontée sur corde.
Attention, la MINITRAXION ne doit pas servir comme point d’amarrage pour fixer
une corde servant à la remontée sur corde.
Ne montez pas au-dessus du bloqueur ou du point d’amarrage.
5. Progression horizontale
Anti-retour pour remonter sur tyrolienne. Ne pas utiliser cet appareil en amarrage
d’une tyrolienne.
Généralités Petzl
Durée de vie/ Mise au rebut
Pour les produits Petzl, plastiques et textiles, la durée de vie maximale est de
10ans à partir de la date de fabrication. Elle n’est pas limitée pour les produits
métalliques.
ATTENTION, un événement exceptionnel peut vous conduire à rebuter un
produit après une seule utilisation (type et intensité d’utilisation, environnement
d’utilisation:milieux agressifs, milieu marin, arêtes coupantes, températures
extrêmes, produits chimiques,etc).
Un produit doit être rebuté quand:
- Il a plus de 10ans et est composé de plastique ou textile.
- Il a subi une chute importante (ou effort).
- Le résultat des vérifications du produit n’est pas satisfaisant. Vous avez un doute
sur sa fiabilité.
- Vous ne connaissez pas son historique complet d’utilisation.
- Quand son usage est obsolète (évolution législative, normative, technique ou
incompatibilité avec d’autres équipements,etc.).
Détruisez ces produits pour éviter une future utilisation.
Vérification du produit
En plus des contrôles avant chaque utilisation, faites réaliser une vérification
approfondie par un vérificateur compétent. Cette fréquence de la vérification
doit être adaptée en fonction de la législation applicable, du type et de l’intensité
d’utilisation. Petzl vous conseille une vérification au minimum tous les 12mois.
Ne retirez pas les étiquettes et marquages pour garder la traçabilité du produit.
Les résultats des vérifications doivent être enregistrés sur une fiche de suivi:type,
modèle, coordonnées fabricant, numéro de série ou numéro individuel,
dates:fabrication, achat, première utilisation, prochains examens périodiques;
notes:défauts, remarques; nom et signature du contrôleur.

Stockage, transport
Stockez le produit au sec, à l’abri des UV, produits chimiques, dans un endroit
tempéré,etc. Nettoyez et séchez le produit si nécessaire.
Modifications, réparations
Les modifications et réparations sont interdites hors des ateliers de Petzl (sauf
pièces de rechange).
Garantie 3ans
Contre tout défaut de matière ou fabrication. Sont exclus:usure normale,
oxydation, modifications ou retouches, mauvais stockage, mauvais entretien,
négligences, utilisations pour lesquelles ce produit n’est pas destiné.

Überprüfung, zu kontrollierende Punkte
Vor jedem Einsatz
Überprüfen Sie das Produkt auf Risse, Deformierungen, Kratzer, Abnutzungs- und
Korrosionserscheinungenusw.
Überprüfen Sie den Zustand von Körper, Befestigungsöse, Seitenteilen
(Deformierung), Klemmmechanismus, Sicherheitssperre und Achse des
Klemmmechanismus. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Federn korrekt funktionieren.
ACHTUNG: Verwenden Sie keine Seilklemme mit abgenutzten oder fehlenden
Zähnen.
Ausführliche Hinweise bezüglich der bei jeder PSA zu kontrollierenden Punkte

Sollten irgendwelche Zweifel hinsichtlich des Zustands eines Produkts bestehen,

Während des Gebrauchs
Es ist unerlässlich, den Zustand des Produkts und seiner Verbindungen mit
anderen Ausrüstungsgegenständen im System regelmäßig zu überprüfen. Stellen
Sie stets sicher, dass die einzelnen Ausrüstungsgegenstände im System richtig
zueinander positioniert sind.
WARNUNG:
- Stellen Sie sicher, dass keine Fremdkörper die Funktion des Nockens
beeinträchtigen
- und dass sich keine Gegenstände an der Sicherheitssperre verfangen und somit
die Öffnung des Klemmnockens bewirken können.
Kompatibilität
Überprüfen Sie die Kompatibilität dieses Produkts mit den anderen Elementen Ihres
Systems (Kompatibilität= funktionelles Zusammenspiel).
1. Installation einer Umlenkrolle mit
Rücklaufsperre
Schieben Sie den Klemmmechanismus nach oben, klappen Sie das Seitenteil auf
und drehen Sie es.
Legen Sie das Seil ein (siehe eingravierte Zeichnung am festen Seitenteil),
schließen Sie das Seitenteil und den Klemmmechanismus, befestigen Sie das
Ganze an einem Anschlagpunkt und überprüfen Sie, ob das Seil richtig eingelegt
ist.
Achtung! Die MINITRAXION muss so befestigt sein, dass sie durch nichts blockiert
wird. Ihre Funktionsfähigkeit darf weder durch Aufliegen noch durch Fremdkörper
beeinträchtigt werden (Steinchen, kleine Zweige usw.). Der Klemmmechanismus
muss jederzeit zugänglich sein.
2. Bedienung und Funktionsprüfung
Das Seil läuft in der einen Richtung durch das Gerät und in der anderen Richtung
wird es blockiert. Zuerst greifen die Zähne des Klemmnockens in das Seil, welches
dann durch den Klemmnocken blockiert wird.
Stellen Sie beim Anbringen des Geräts am Seil sicher, dass das Gerät in die
gewünschte Richtung blockiert.
3. Flaschenzugsysteme
3A. Wirkungsgrade
Hinweis: Durch die dynamischen Bewegungen der Last (Jo-Jo-Effekt)
und dynamisches Heben kann die auf den Anschlagpunkt und die anderen
Komponenten des Systems ausgeübte Kraft auf das Zwei- bis Dreifache ansteigen.
Überprüfen Sie die Kompatibilität der Bruchlast der anderen Komponenten des
Systems. Vermeiden Sie Schläge.
3B. Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
Unter gewissen Umständen (Seile mit großem Durchmesser, Seilrolle in Schieflage
usw.) können die Zähne des Klemmmechanismus nicht richtig in das Seil greifen,
so dass die Blockierung des Seils nicht oder verzögert erfolgt.
Überprüfen Sie vor jedem Gebrauch unter sicheren Bedingungen (redundante
Sicherung der Last) die Funktionstüchtigkeit der MINITRAXION mit den anderen
Ausrüstungselementen des Systems.
4. Gelegentlicher Aufstieg am Seil
Beim Aufstieg kann die MINITRAXION als Seilklemme benutzt werden. Achtung,
die MINITRAXION darf nicht als Anschlagpunkt zum Befestigen eines für den
Aufstieg dienenden Seils eingesetzt werden.
Steigen Sie nicht über die Seilklemme oder den Anschlagpunkt hinaus.
5. Horizontale Fortbewegung
Rücklaufbremse für den Aufstieg an der Hilfsseilbahn. Verwenden Sie das Gerät
nicht zum Befestigen der Hilfsseilbahn.
Petzl Allgemeines
Lebensdauer/ Aussondern von Ausrüstung
Die maximale Lebensdauer von Kunststoff- und Textilprodukten der Firma Petzl
beträgt 10Jahre ab dem Herstellungsdatum. Für Metallprodukte ist sie unbegrenzt.
ACHTUNG, außergewöhnliche Umstände können die Aussonderung eines Produkts
nach einer einmaligen Anwendung erforderlich machen (Art und Intensität
der Benutzung, Anwendungsbereich: Meeresklima, scharfe Kanten, extreme
Temperaturen, Chemikalienusw.).
In folgenden Fällen muss ein Produkt ausgesondert werden:
- wenn es mehr als 10Jahre alt ist (Kunststoff- und Textilprodukte)
- nach einem schweren Sturz (oder Belastung)
- das Überprüfungsergebnis ist nicht zufriedenstellend, Produkt fällt bei der
Überprüfung durch, Sie bezweifeln seine Zuverlässigkeit.
- die vollständige Gebrauchsgeschichte ist nicht bekannt
- das Produkt ist veraltet (Änderung der gesetzlichen Bestimmungen, der
Normen und der technischen Vorschriften, Inkompatibilität mit anderen
Ausrüstungsgegenständenusw.)
Zerstören und entsorgen Sie diese Produkte, um ihren weiteren Gebrauch
zu verhindern.
Überprüfung des Produkts
Lassen Sie zusätzlich zu der Überprüfung vor jedem Einsatz eine gründliche
Überprüfung durch eine sachkundige Person durchführen. Die Häufigkeit dieser
Überprüfung hängt von den anwendbaren gesetzlichen Bestimmungen sowie von
der Art und der Intensität des Gebrauchs ab. Petzl empfiehlt, diese Überprüfung
mindestens alle 12Monate durchführen zu lassen.
Entfernen Sie keine Etiketten oder Kennzeichnungen, um die Rückverfolgbarkeit
des Produkts zu gewährleisten.
Die Ergebnisse dieser Prüfung werden in den Prüfbericht eingetragen: Typ, Modell,
Kontaktinformation des Herstellers, Seriennummer oder individuelle Nummer,
Daten: Herstellung, Kauf, erste Anwendung, nächste regelmäßige Überprüfung,
Anmerkungen: Probleme, Bemerkungen, Name und Unterschrift des Prüfers.

Lagerung, Transport
Das Produkt an einem trockenen, vor UV-Strahlen und Chemikalien geschützten Ort
bei gemäßigten Temperaturen aufbewahren und falls nötig reinigen und trocknen.
Änderungen, Reparaturen
Änderungen und Reparaturen (außer der Tausch von Ersatzteilen) außerhalb der
Petzl-Betriebsstätten sind nicht gestattet.
3Jahre Garantie
Auf Material- und Fabrikationsfehler. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen
sind: normale Abnutzung, Oxidation, Änderungen oder Nachbesserungen,
unsachgemäße Lagerung, unsachgemäße Wartung, Nachlässigkeiten und
Anwendungen für die das Produkt nicht bestimmt ist.
