INTRODUCTION
The shoulder supports are made to support the shoulders of a patient when the operating table is put
into Trendelenburg (head down) position. They are normally attached to the operating table by means
of a rapid clamp. Of course, also other kinds of clamps are useable.
The shoulder supports delivers with both plane and concave cushions. The concave one can easily be
turned 180°, depending on how the patient shall be supported.

This user manual is for clinical personnel, service personnel and others who need the knowledge
about and understanding of how the shoulder supports works and how they can be used.
•Read user manual carefully before the equipment is used.
•Always follow the instructions in user manual.
•Always keep the manual close to the equipment.
INSTALLATION
Check by the unpacking, that all parts are delivered according to the delivery note. Also check for
loose parts in the box. The packing material consists of cardboard and plastic, which all can be
recycled.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•When a patient is supported by the shoulder supports, none of the locking knobs are to be
loosened to avoid uncontrolled sliding of the supports, causing injuries to the patient.
•Moving an operating table with attached accessories must be done very carefully to avoid
collision and damages to equipment or building parts.
•The shoulder supports are designed for a Safe Working Load of 40kg. To keep the safety
factor according to the European standards EN 60601-1 and EN 60601-2-46 the Safe
Working Load must not be exceeded. 40kg Safe Working Load is corresponding to a patient
weight of 300kg

and push it back and the
two balls will lock it to the
fitting. The concave
cushions can also be
replaced with plane ones.
