INTRODUCTION
The Tibia Support is designed to support the knee or the foot of a patient during knee or leg surgery.
It shall be used together with a radial clamp 10-304-P or 10-305-P, making it possible to put the
support in any height or angel position.
ABOUT USERS MANUAL
This user manual is for clinical personnel, service personnel and others, who need the knowledge
about and understanding of how the Tibia Support works and how it can be used.
Read the instructions in user manual carefully before use of the equipment.
Always follow the instructions in user manual.
Always keep user manual close to the equipment.
INSTALLATION
Check by the unpacking, that all parts are delivered according to the delivery bill. Also check for
loose parts in the box. The packing material consists of cardboard and plastic that can be recycled.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid injuries to patient, personnel or equipment, the support must be hold by the other
hand or by some other person, when the lever that locks the post in the clamp is released.
All transport with operating tables and with attached accessories must be done very carefully
to avoid collision, which can cause damage to other equipment or to building parts.
The Tibia Support is designed for a safe working load of 50kg. To keep the safety factor 2,2
according to the European standards EN 60601-1 and EN 60601-2-46, the safe working load
must not be exceeded. Overload can cause damage to the equipment and as a result of
damage also injuries to the patient.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Be aware of, that adjustments and all kind of repair only must be done by for this purpose educated
personnel. All changing of parts in the construction without a written permission from the
manufacturer is strictly forbidden.
CLEANING
Clean with soap and water. If necessary, use alcohol as supplement. Only use soft cloth for
wiping.
CONTROL
Check every day before use for any kind of damage, that can cause malfunction or make
the use hazardous.
ANNUAL SERVICE
Once a year the Tibia Support shall be carefully cleaned. An inspection to detect damages
shall also be done. Defective parts shall be replaced by original spare parts.
