INTRODUCTION
The thigh support is designed for fixation and support of the upper leg of a patient at an operating
table. The support has an adjustable pad for different patient positions. The support is to be attached
to the accessory rail by means of a rotatable clamp.
ABOUT USERS MANUAL
This user manual is for clinical personnel, service personnel and others who need the knowledge
about and understanding of how the thigh support shall be used and how it works.
Read carefully user manual before using the equipment.
Always follow the instructions in user manual.
Keep user manual in range of the equipment.
INSTALLATION
Before first use, check for any kind of damage and that all parts are received. The packing material
consists of re-useable corrugated board and plastic foil.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Velcro strap for fixation of
the pad to the pad holder.
Locking knob
The support pad can be adjusted by turning the locking knob
anticlockwise and then turn the pad to a, for the patient
comfortable position. Lock by turning the knob clockwise.
The support should be used together with a rotatable clamp,
that fits the accessory rail on the operating table. F.ex. 10-304.

IMPORTANT SAFETY DIRECTIONS
When loosen the locking handle of the clamp, the support must be hold by the other hand,
preventing it from falling down uncontrolled and cause injuries to the patient or to the
personnel.
The thigh support is designed for a Safe Working Load of 40 kilogram. To keep the safety
factor according to the European standard EN-60601-1 and EN 60601-2-46 the Safe
Working Load should not be exceeded. 40kg Safe Working Load is corresponding to a
patient weight of 215kg.
A function control must always be done before every application on a patient
Service and preventing maintenance shall be done by authorized personnel and
according to issued interval.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Be aware of, that mounting, adjustments and all kind of repair always must be done by for
this purpose educated personnel. Changing of the construction without a written permission
from the manufacturer is strictly forbidden.
Cleaning
Clean with antiseptic soap detergent with PH 6-8 and tempered water. Alcohol may be
used on metal parts.
Control
Check for any kind of damage on the thigh support. Check that the pad can easily rotate
when the locking knob is loosened. Carefully check that there are no damages to the pad
where dirt, blood and other fluids can penetrate the cover and come into the foam.
Annually service
Once a year the thigh support should be carefully cleaned and the pivot and threads
should be greased by a water resistant grease. The locking functions shall be checked.
