COPIER GUIDE

1. Place your document on document feeder (face up) or platen glass
(face down)
2. Input copy quantity using the blue number key pad
3. Optional: Choose your settings such as sort (collate), staple, hole
punch or duplex (1-2 sided, 2-2 sided) or press the PROGRAM key to
find preprogrammed settings saved.
4. Press the START key
BASIC COPY PROCEDURE

STANDARD DISPLAY SCREEN
1. Original type
Text, Photo, Text/Photo, Pale (for light originals), Generation (for 2nd generation originals)
2. Image Density (darken or lighten copies by pressing the arrow keys)
3. Special Originals:
Mixed Sizes (two different size originals)
Batch (use to combine large files or bound documents in a specific order for multiple
quantities). Must press the BATCH, SORT and input quantity to start then end with
the # key to complete the batch function.
4. Paper Tray selections
5. Preset reduce/enlarge buttons
Full size (100%), Auto Reduce/Enlarge (will adjust size of the original to the size of the
paper tray selected, and preset percentage keys for reducing or enlarging.
6. Sort (Collate), Staple, Hole Punch functions
7. Select function key to display the menu
Reduce/Enlarge (preset reduction and enlargement keys and number key to choose the
specific percentage)
Dup/Combine/Series (for 1 sided to 2 sided copies, combining several pages to 1 page,
copy from book and creating a mini book)
Edit (use to erase borders, adjust margins, center documents, repeat images)
Stamp (use this function to stamp preset stamps, date, page numbers and stamp text onto
copies)

Select “Tray Paper Settings” to set paper trays.
Select paper trays 1 thru 7 to set the type of paper and size.
In this window, a specific tray can be selected for a
designated sheet, front and back cover, and slip sheet.
Select the “Paper Type” tab to set the type of paper for the
specific tray you are setting.
Select the “Paper Size” tab to set the paper size for the
specific tray you are setting.

Basic Document Server Procedure
Store a file:
Place original(s) face up in the auto document feeder (ADF) or face down on the platen glass.
1. Press the [Document Server] button.
2. Press [Scan Original]. Select the type of original to store
3. Press [File Name] and input your file name. Press [Start] key to store your file.
Print a file:
4. Highlight the file(s).
5. Press [To Printing Screen] for more options.
6. Enter the quantity of copies using the number keypad. Press [Start] key
Additional Document Server Features
Delete a file:
1. Highlight the file(s).
2. Press [Delete File].
3. Select [Delete] or [Do Not Delete].
Rename a file:
4. To rename a file select [File Management].
5. Three options are available: [User name], [File name], and [Password].
Preview a file:
6. Press [Preview].
7. To change between [Thumbnail] view and [List] view select the option needed.

Setup Tab
1. [Save] or [Load] Saves custom printer driver settings. Press the [Load] to bring up the saved setting.
2. [Job Type]
A. Normal: Prints immediately.
B. Sample Print: Prints one set for review.
C. Locked Print: Stores print job at the printer and requires a password to release job.
D. Hold Print: Temporarily saves your print job until it is manually released at the printer.
E. Store Print: Stores print job allowing the job to reprint at the printer under the print jobs.
F. Document Server: Sends files directly to the Document Server on printer to be printed as
needed.
NOTE: After selecting the job type, go to [Details] to input User ID, File Name, Password, and
User Name to retrieve print jobs.
3. [Layout] Reduces the images so multiple pages can fit on one side.
4. [Duplex] Prints on both sides of paper (Open to Left)
5. [Punch] Displays 2 or 3 hole punch positions (if applicable)
6. [Staple] Displays staple positions (if applicable)

Paper Tab
1. [Document Size] Displays the original document size.
2. [Paper Selection] Customization options including Same Paper for All Pages, Front Cover, Back
Cover, Slip Sheet, Chaptering, etc.
3. [Output Tray] Select an output tray for your prints.
4. [MFP Icon] Select the input tray or output tray directly on the image.
5. [Print On] Allows you to print on different sizes of paper. Utilize the [Fit To Print Size] option to
automatically reduce or enlarge to the document to fit the paper size selected.
6. [Input Tray] Choose the paper tray for your document. Use the bypass tray when printing on
specialty paper.
7. [Type] Select the type of paper in a specific paper tray you are printing from. Choose thick paper
when printing on cardstock.

Watermarks Tab
1. [Preview Screen] Displays a preview of your watermark.
A. X axis: moves the watermark from left and right.
B. Y axis: moves the watermark from top to bottom.
2. [Transparent Text] Displays watermark in the background.
[On First Page Only] Watermarks will be printed on the first page.
[As Outline Only] Prints the outline of the watermark.
3. [Watermark Presets] Choose preset watermarks or add, delete and update the stamps.
4. [Edit Text] Create your own alphanumeric watermarks.
5. [Size] Font size can be adjusted.
6. [Angle] Adjust the angle of the watermark from –90 degrees to +90 degrees.
7. [Color] Choose grayscale of watermarks. [Font] Select font style.

Scan to Folder

Basic Scan Procedure
Place original(s) face up in the Auto Document Feeder (ADF) or face down on the platen glass.
1. Select [Scanner] from the left side of the control panel.
2. Select a pre-programmed scan folder destination.
3. Press the green [Start] button. When using the platen glass, press [#] after last original.

1. [Scan Settings] changes the default Text selection. Choose from B/W or Color Settings.

2. [Original Feed Type] allows for scanning 2-sided originals and Batch scanning.
3. [File Name/Type] is used to assign a file name and the change the file type. When choosing
[Single Page TIFF/JPEG] or [Single Page PDF], each page of the scan will be received as
a separate attachment. When choosing [Multi-Page TIFF] or [Multi-Page PDF], all scanned
documents will be received as one file.
4. Select pre-programmed scan folder destination. (Note: Multiple destinations may be selected).
