Quick Start
本指南适用于RG-ES109DS和RG-ES110GDS，文中图片以RG-ES109DS为例进行说明。
This quick start applies to RG-ES109DS and RG-ES110GDS. RG-ES109DS is used as
an example to illustrate the installation and connection of the switch.

Preparing for installation
安装到桌面：防静电手环或防静电手套
Mounting on the desktop: ESD bracelet or gloves
安装到 19 英寸标准机架：防静电手环或防静电手套、螺丝刀、螺钉
Mounting to a standard 19-inch rack: ESD bracelet or gloves, screwdriver, screws
安装到桌面
Mounting on the desktop
将脚垫粘贴在机壳底面四角对应的凹槽中，然后将交换机正面朝上放置于足够大且干净平稳
的桌面上。
Paste the footpad stickers to the corresponding four recesses on the bottom of the switch.
Then turn the switch upside down, and place it on a big enough, clean, stable and flat
desktop.

安装到 19 英寸标准机架
Mounting to a standard 19-inch rack
1. 检查机架的接地与平稳性。
Ensure that the rack is stable and level, and is properly grounded.
2. 用包装盒内的螺钉将两个 L型支架分别固定到交换机的两侧。
Fix the 2 L-shaped brackets to both sides of the switch with the included screws.
3. 将交换机放置于机架内的适当位置，用螺钉（需自备）将 L型支架固定到机架两侧的
导槽上，确保交换机平稳地安装到机架上。
Mount the switch at a proper height on the rack and fix the L-shaped brackets to the
rack with the screws (not included). Ensure that the switch is stable on the rack.

设备连接
Connect the switch
交换机支持端口自动翻转（Auto MDI/MDIX），用网线连接交换机与对端以太网设备时，
使用直连线或交叉线均可。
RG-ES109DS 交换机的端口 9与端口 9F 复用，且 9F 端口优先。即，当使用交换机的 9F
口时，9口不能使用。RG-ES110GDS 交换机的端口 9F 和10F 端口是独立光端口。
The switch supports auto MDI/MDIX, so both a straight cable and a crossover cable can
be used to connect the switch to Ethernet devices.

For RG-ES109DS, port 9 and port 9F compose a combo port, and port 9F owns a higher
priority. So when port 9F of the switch is used, port 9 cannot be used. For RG-ES110GDS,
ports 9F and 10F are independent SFP ports.
请参考下表检查设备连接是否正确或调节交换机工作模式。
Please check whether the switch is connected properly or adjust the operation mode of
the switch according to the following table.

PWR
长亮：交换机通电正常。
熄灭：交换机未通电或通电异常。
1~9,9F，10F
长亮：端口已连接。
闪烁：端口正在传输数据。
熄灭：端口未连接，或连接异常。
工作模式拨码开关。
标准模式：默认模式。此模式下，交换机为普通非网管型交换机，
所有端口之间可以相互通信。
流控关闭：此模式下，交换机关闭所有端口流控，以满足各种复
杂环境的“网络克隆”需求。
端口隔离：此模式下，1~8号端口不能互相通信，但都能与 9、
9F 和10F 端口通信。可以隔离 DHCP 广播，减少广播风暴。

Description
PWR
Solid on: The switch is powered on properly.
Off: The switch is not powered on, or not powered on properly.
1 to 9, 9F, 10F
Solid on: The port is connected to a device.
Warning
This is a ClassA product. In a domestic environment, this
product may cause radio interference, in which case the
user may be required to take adequate measures.

Blinking: Data is being transmitted over the port.
Off: The port is not connected or is not connected properly.
Toggle for switching operating modes:
-Standard Mode: It is the default operating mode. In this mode, the
switch functions as a common unmanaged switch, and all ports of the
switch can communicate with each other.
-Flow Control-OFF: In this mode, the switch disables the flow control
function for all ports to meet the demand of computer network clone in
various environments.
-Port Isolation: In this mode, ports 1 to 8 cannot communicate with each
other, but can communicate with ports 9, 9F and 10F respectively,
which helps isolate DHCP broadcast and reduce broadcast storm.
