Connect Control Module – Standard
After the installation of the ElectriCinema Connect is completed, plug the
screen into a standard power point and turn on.
Point 1 - The screen comes with a standard 3 pin power plug which suitable
for Australian and New Zealand GPO’s (general power outlet).
The projection screen can be operated in three ways:
2 Channel Infra Red Remote Control - supplied
Impulse wall Switch – Up & Down (supplied by others)
Dry Contact Closure – (Two Momentary Contacts) , One for Up and
One for Down connected from common to up and down.
Command is send when contact is released - for connection to
control systems.
Point 2 - Infra Red Remote Control
The projection screen is packaged with a 2 channel Infra Red Transmitter
and a 300mm long IR Sensor, already connected to the screen and exiting
the rear of the canister.
Position the IR Sensor Eye with double sided tape or a U Pin, so that it can
be seen from where you wish to operate the projection screen, and use the
up and down buttons on the transmitter on channels 1 or 2 to operate the
screen.
The following procedures require access to the Connect Module and
as such you MUST remove all power from the screen before removing
the end canister plate as electrocution may occur.
Point 3 - Impulse Wall Switch (supplied by others).
The Connect Module equipped projection screen can also have simple wall switch operation, although due to
interior décor choices the actual switch itself is not supplied with the screen and needs to be sourced.
The Connect Module comes with a pluggable terminal block, located as plugged into the module, so that you
can wire the wall switch to the connector and then plug it into the control module itself, you may leave the IR
Sensor eye lead in place or remove it at this stage and connect the wall switch connector to the module.
Point 3 - Dry Contact Closure
This is the industry standard method of switching a projection screen via a Building Control
System, such as AMX, Crestron, C-Bus, etc…etc
It is operated on a momentary contact switching standard with an Open, Close and
Common input port. It utilises the same connection as the above described Impulse Wall
Switch.
