giveyoumanyyearsofdependableservice.Itrequireslittlemaintenanceandiseasytosetup
andoperate.

Yourvendingmachineisdesignedtooperatesimplyandreliably,buttotakefulladvantageof
yourvendor,pleasereadthisowner’smanualthoroughly.Itcontainsimportantinformation
regardinginstallationandoperations,aswellasabrieftrouble‐shootingguide.Byfollowing
prescribedproceduresoutlinedinthismanual,machineperformanceandsafetywillbe
assured.
EQUIPMENTINSPECTION
Afteryouhavereceivedyourvendorandhaveitoutofthebox,placeitonasecuresurfacefor
furtherinspection.Note:Anydamagesthatmayhaveoccurredduringshippingmustbe
reportedtothedeliverycarrierimmediately.Reportingdamagesandtheseekingofrestitution
istheresponsibilityoftheequipmentowner.Thefactoryiswillingtoassistyouinthisprocess
inanywaypossible.FeelfreetocontactSeaga’sCustomerCareDepartmentwithquestionsyou
mayhaveonthisprocess.
Itisimportantthatyoukeeptheoriginalpackagingforyourvendingmachineatleastthrough
thewarrantyperiod.Ifyourmachineneedstobereturnedforrepair,youmayhaveto

YourNTG4000systemisequippedwithaGFCIcordandgroundedplug.Thewallreceptacle
usedmustbeproperlypolarized,groundedandofthecorrectvoltage.OperatingtheNTG4000
systemfromasourceoflowvoltagewillVOIDYOURWARRANTY.EachNTG4000systemshould
haveitsown12Ampelectricalcircuitthatisprotectedbyacircuitbreakerorfuseconforming
tolocalpowersafetyregulations.
UnpackingtheVendingSystem
Removeallpackingmaterialsfromtheinteriorofthemerchandiser.Keepalldocumentsfound
packedinsidewhichincludepaymentsystemandaccessorymanualsasappropriate.Keepand
setasideanyaccessorykits.
ControlsandIndicators
Display
TheDisplayishowthevendingsystemcommunicateswithyourcustomerswhiletheyarein
frontofthemachine.Thecustomermayseemessagesabouthowmuchanitemcosts,whena
selectionissoldout,whenvendingisfreeordiscountedandothercommunication.TheDisplay
alsoshowsyou,theoperator,theprogrammingmodeandcanshowyouerrorsorother
importantdiagnosticinformation.

Thecustomerusesthesebuttonstomakeselections.Theoperatorusesthesebuttonsto
programand/ortestthesystem.
CoinReturnButton
Pressingthisbuttonreturnsanycoinsthathavebeenpaidintothevendingsystempriortoa
vendunlessForceVendisturnedon.
BillAcceptor
Acceptsbillsinvariousdenominationsdependingupontheconfigurationofthebillvalidator
unit.
VMC
TheVMCistheVendingMachineControllerandistheheartofthevendingsystem.TheVMCis
wheretheMenusbuttonislocatedtoputthesystemintoprogrammingmode.

MovingtheVendingSystem
YourNTG4000systemshouldneverbemovedwithproductorcoinsloadedandshouldbe
completelyemptyandanymovingpartssecured.
Thesystemcanbelocatedflushtothebackwallbutyouwillwantatleast6”clearanceon
eithersideforthedoorstoopenproperlywhileyouservicethemachine.
Afterlocatingyourvendingsystem,plugthetwopowercordsinandturnthesystemon.
LocationRequirements
TheNTG4000ismeantforoperationindoorsonly–whichnotonlymeansphysicalprotection
fromtheelementsofsun,rain,etc.butalsomeansclimatecontrol.LocationoftheNTG4000in
excessivelyhot,cold,humidordirtylocationswillVOIDYOURWARRANTY.
InstallingtheEntréeUnit
1.) Removeallshipment/packingmaterials,inspectunitfordamage.
2.) PlacetheEntréeUnitontherightsideofthemainunitandopenthefrontdoor.Align
themountingholesontheinsidesoftheunitwiththeholesinthemainunit.Usingthe
boltsandwashersprovided,(2each)attachtheEntreeUnittothemainunit.(Figure3)

Eachsnacktrayhasareleaseleverlocatedontherightside.Toplacethetrayinloadposition,
pressdownonthereleaseleverandslidethetrayforward(towardyou)untiltherollerhitsthe
stopbuiltintothesliderail.Gentlyreleasethefrontofthesnacktrayuntilitistilteddownand
allcoilsareexposed(Figure5).

Makesureyourproductsareappropriateforthecolumnandcoilyouareplacingthemin.Do
notforceproductsthataretoowideintoanarrowtrayortootightcoilasthiswillcausevend
problemsforyourcustomers.Theproductmustalsopassunderthetrayimmediatelyabove
theoneyouareloadingandshouldnottouchproductsoneitherside.
Onceyouhavetheappropriatelysizedproductsforeachselection,correctloadingofthe
productsshouldbebetweenthecoilsandrestingontheproducttrayitself.SeeFigures6and

Itissometimesnecessarytoreplaceasnacktrayoryoumayfinditeasiertoworkoncertain
elementsofatrayifitisremovedfromthevendingsystemcabinet.
Toremoveasnacktray:
1.) Removeallproductfromthetrayyouwanttoremove.
2.) Reachinandunplugthepropertrayharnessasshowninfigure7.

AdjustingCoils
Ifyouarerequiredbyalocationtovendaproductofanon‐standardsize,youmayneedto
orderadifferentcoilandinstallit.Replacingacoiliseasierwiththetrayremoved,asdescribed
inthelastsection.Toreplaceacoil:
1.) Removethecoilfromthecoildriverbyliftingthebackofthecoilupoffthecoildriver.
Youwillneedtomovethebottomofthecoilclearofthecoildrivertocompletely
removethecoil.SeeFigure9
2.) Alignthenewcoilendwiththefrontoftheproducttray,whichgivesthecoilbetter
contactwiththeproduct.Thepositionofthecoilinthecoildriverisadjustabletoassist
youinaligningthenewoilatthefrontoftheproducttray.SeeFigure9.

rotationtobetterprovidethemomentumtopushthesnackoffthetrayandintothedelivery
area.Toadjustthecoilrotation:
1.) Squeezethetwotabsonthebackofthecoildriverandpullthecoildriverandcoil
towardthefrontofthetraytoremoveit.
2.) Turnthecoilclock‐wise1/8ofarotation.
3.) Reinsertthecoildriverwithcoilattachedbackintothemotor,throughthebackwallof
thetray.
4.) Loadthetrayandperformatleast5(five)testvendstoinsureapropervend.
5.) Iftheitemdoesnotvendconsistently,repeatanother1/8ofarotationuntilyouare

compactspace.TheVerticalDropColumnsinyourmachineuseanAugerthatrotatescounter‐
clockwisetodropthedrinkintotheProductBin.Thecolumnsemploytheuseofacombination
ofmetalShimstoholdthefront‐mostproductfromdroppingduringthefirstvend.Onthe
secondvend,theAugerrotatescounter‐clockwisefurtherandallowsthefrontproducttovend.
Athirdrotationoccursonlyifthecolumnissetforcans.ThecombinationofAuger,Shim(s)and
RearSpacerpositionallowfordifferentsizesandtypesofproductpackaging.
TocontroltherotationoftheAuger,thereisaHomeSwitchlocatedbehindeachverticaldrop
columnmotor.ThereareCamsinstalledonthefrontofeachauger,oneforbottlesandonefor
cans.ThelobesonthesecamsdeterminethestoppingpointoftheAugerforeachvend.

1.)Forbottles,placetopofthefirstbottleagainstthefrontofthecolumn,makingsuretheSold
OutSwitchisdepressed.Placethesecondbottletotherearofthecolumn,facingthebottom
ofthebottlewiththebottomofthefirstbottle.Load12oz.cansbottomtobottominthefirst
twopositions,thentoptotopinthebackposition.Load16oz.cansbottomtotop.
2.)Toadjusttherearspacer,graspfirmlyandlift,freeingthespacerfromtheslotsinthe
columnsides.Movetherearspacertotheclosestslottothebackofthebottleorcanplacedin
therearofthecolumn.Thegapbetweentherearspacerandtherearbottleorcanmustbeless
than½inch.Theslotsarein½inchincrementstoletyouadjustformanysizesofproducts.
Lowertherearspacerintothenewposition,makingsurethespacerisstraightvertically.
3.)Finishloadingtothetopofthecolumn,makingsuretheitemsarenottiltedorskewedin
thecolumn.
Note:Therearemanyvariationsofpackagingamongthebeveragebrands.Theseinstructions
aremeanttobeaguideline.Ifyouhavepackagingthatisn'tmentionedorshownorifthe
manufacturerhasrecentlychangedpackaging,setupandtestingwillbenecessarytoinsure
propervending.

Theshimpositionsareadjustableineachcolumn.Bymakingadjustmentstotheshim,back
gateandcams,youcancovertbottlelanestocansandviceversaaswellasaccommodatemost
packing.
Factorysettingsfortheshimsareshownbelow:

aproductdisplayshelfhasbeenprovided.Takecaretousepackagingthatisinperfect
conditionandproductsthatarestillwithintheirexpirationdatetopresentthebestpossible
retailstorefronttoyourpotentialcustomers.Toloadtheliveproductdisplay:
1.) RemovetheDrinkDisplayBackPanelbylooseningandremovingthethumbscrews
locatedoneithersideofthepanel.
2.) Placeeachbeverage,inorderofselection,inthedisplaywindowtakingcaretomake
themevenlyspacedandorientedproperlytowardthefrontofthemachinewherethe
customerwillseethem.
3.) Reinstallthebeveragebackpanel.
