Intended Use

weightnogreaterthan140kg,includingclothing,tools,andotheruser-borne

Unpacking Your Product
• Carefullyunpackandinspectyourproduct.Fullyfamiliariseyourselfwithall
its features and functions
• Ensureallpartsoftheproductarepresentandingoodcondition.Ifanyparts
aremissingordamaged,havesuchpartsreplacedbeforeattemptingtouse
this product
Before Use
Pre-use checks
• Avisualandtactile(i.e.bysenseoftouch)inspectionmustbecarriedout
beforeeveryuse.Allpartsofthegearmustbeinspectedinanareawith
appropriate light conditions
1. Slowlypasswebbing,beltorropethroughyourhandstodetectsmallcuts
of1mmormoreinmaterialedges,abrasionsandtwistdamage.Feelfor
softeningandhardeningofbresandlookforingressofcontaminants
2. Inspect all stitching for visual damage
3. Checkallhardwareandconnectorsfordamageandconrmfunctionality.
Conrmsafetydevices(suchasgatesonkarabinersetc)arefunctioning
properly
Note: Refer to the ‘Maintenance’ section for further advice on fault conditions.
Fitting and adjustment
• Preparation (see Fig. B):
1. Identifyallpartsandstraps(see‘ProductFamiliarisation’)
2. Open and release the Chest Buckle (4) and both Leg Strap Buckles (6)
Note:Loosenallthree-barslideandsquarelinktypeconnectionsfully,inorder
toretightenduringtting.
3. LifttheharnessontheD-ringoftheDorsalAttachmentPoint(A)(7),and
ensure all straps are hanging straight
• Fitting shoulder and chest (see Fig.C+D):
1. FittheShoulderStraps(1)oftheharnessoveryourshoulders
2. PlaceyourarmsthroughtheShoulderStraps,sotheDorsalAttachmentPoint
(A) (7) is located on the back
Note:Ensuretheharnessisnottwisted‘insideout’,bycheckingthattheD-ring
of the Dorsal Attachment Point (A) (7) is located outermost.
3. ClosetheChestStrap(2)byinsertingthemaleendintothefemaleconnector,
andadjustbypullingorreleasingtheopenendofthewebbingmaterial
4. AdjusttheChestStrapSliders(3)upordowntheharness
Note:TheChestStrapmustrunsquarelyoverthesternum.Itmustnotrun
diagonallyorclosetothethroatregion.
• Fitting legs (see Fig. E+H):
1. Standuprightandstraight,locatetheLegStraps(5)andensuretheyarenot
twisted
2. ReachbehindandpasstherstLegStrapinbetweenyourlegsfromback
to front
3. FastentheLegStrapBuckle(6),byinsertingthethree-barslidethroughthe
squarelink,sobothpartssitatontopofeachotherandinterlock
4. Repeat on the other side
5. AdjusttheLegStrapsbypullingtheendofthewebbingthroughthebelt
slideruntilasnugtisachievedandthewebbingmaterialsitscomfortably,
ashighaspossible,betweentheinsidelegandgroin.Releaseandreadjustif
necessaryuntilasafethasbeenachieved
WARNING: CorrectttingoftheLegStraps(5)isofparamountconcernfor
thesafeandeffectivefunctionoftheharness.Severeinjurycanoccurduring
anarrestedfall,ifthewebbingmaterialistwisted,oriftheLegStrapsarenot
adjustedproperlyinthegroinregion.
Note: Conrmcomfortableyetsnugtoftheharnessbysquattingdown
andmovingyourarmsaboveyourhead.Theusermustbeabletocomfortably
movearoundandreachhisworkingposition,withouttheharnessrestricting
movement.
Connecting to other fall arrest system
components
• Use the Dorsal Attachment Point (A) (7) to connect to the shock absorber or
shockabsorber/lanyardcombinationusingasuitablekarabiner
WARNING:KarabinersandotherconnectorsmustALWAYSbeusedwith
thegateclosedandsecurelylocked.Refertotheconnectormanufacturer’s
instructionsforvericationandinspectionprocedure.
WARNING: Thetotallengthofalanyardconnectedtoanenergyabsorber
should NOTexceed 2m.
