2.1 Risk of injury
Whenever you drive the Flowbike, you risk injury from loss of control, collisions and falls. It is your responsibility to learn
how to safely drive the Flowbike in order to reduce the risks of driving.
This manual is designed to help you learn safe driving techniques.
THE FLOWBIKE MUST NOT BE USED UNLESS THE MANUAL HAS BEEN READ THROUGH.
Review this manual frequently to help remind you of proper driving techniques and safety procedures.
2.3 Basic safety instructions
There are risks to driving every vehicle. The Flowbike is no exception. Start in a safe location without traffic and have
somebody helping you with your first steps and start slowly. Driving the Flowbike requires a high amount of concentration
and attention. If you carefully follow all the instructions and warnings in this manual, you should be able to teach yourself
to drive. Avoid to use the Flowbike if you are feeling tired, sleepy or you have a medical condition that reduces your ability
to drive.
Please ensure this manual is read and understood beforehand, and do pay extra attention when driving.
1. The Flowbike must not be operated until this manual has been carefully read and understood.
CAUTION!
WARNING!

Flowpad Bedienungsanleitung
2. Always check the battery charge before using the Flowbike. Do not drive when its battery is low. This may lead the
Flowbike to stop operating and cause you to fall. Do not use it as a normal scooter (without the engine on) for a
longer period of time since this could damage the engine.
3. Both tires of the Flowbike must have contact with the ground at all times. Abrupt manoeuvres and driving over
slippery surfaces, bumps, and loose objects and materials, as well as performing jumps and stunts, may cause it to
lose traction and must be avoided therefore. The driving speed must always be adjusted to given conditions (e.g.
light, weather, other traffic participants, etc.). Avoid obstacles and slippery surfaces, which could result in a loss of
balance or traction and cause a fall. The Flowbike is intended for indoors or use on smooth, flat surfaces. To
prevent loss of traction, you must always be careful when driving and you must identify and avoid slippery and wet
surfaces, loose materials, slopes, potholes and other obstacles (especially higher than 3 cm). The wheels must be
able to grip the ground for you to stay upright.
4. Do not exceed the maximum weight of 120 kg –including backpacks and other items that might be carried.
Exceeding the weight limit could lead to injury of the driver and/or the Flowbike.
5. Do not modify the Flowbike. Modifications could interfere with operating and could result in serious injury and/or
damage. Modifications void your right to Warranty. Some modifications may be illegal according to local traffic law.
6. Do not accelerate too quickly. A risky way of riding increases the risk of injury and is therefore forbidden. Hold the
handle-bar tightly with both hands at any time when driving. Always keep both feet on the deck (with the exception
of starting, where you accelerate with one foot on the ground). To descend from the Flowbike, wait until it has
come to a full stop.
7. Never operate any Flowbike while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, strong medication or other substances that
can influence your level of attention. The use of the Flowbike is not recommended for pregnant women.

Flowpad Bedienungsanleitung
8. It is recommended to learn to drive the Flowbike in a safe environment without traffic or obstacles. Maintaining a
relaxed body posture helps learning to ride the device.
9. You must wear a complete protection equipment (helmet, kneepads, back protector, etc.) when driving the
Flowbike.
10. Never open up the Flowbike or the charging device for security reasons. Opening the Flowbike or the charging
device lead to your warranty being void.
11. Wear bright, colourful and easily noticeable clothing to make sure that other traffic participants can see you.
12. Do not lift it off the ground when it is turned on. Do not turn it on in mid-air. This could cause the wheels to spin
freely if you accidentally press the acceleration lever, which could result in injury to yourself or damage to things
around you. Do not turn the Flowbike off when you are driving it.
13. Check the brakes before every drive. Never drive with damaged brakes, but contact your official dealer.
14. It may be that your insurance does not cover the damage of your Flowbike or injuries that come from an accident
while using the device. Contact your insurance for more information on this subject before using the Flowbike.
Overloading the motor will lead to overheating, which makes the motor housing become very hot. Therefore, avoid any
direct contact of the hot motor with your body or other materials. These hot surfaces can lead to severe burns.
Always pay attention to the wheels of your device, there is danger of body parts or clothing being drawn in, which can lead
to severe injuries.
Pregnant women are not allowed to use our devices.

2.4 Foreseeable misapplications
1. All users of the Flowbike must follow all local traffic laws and regulations. Check whether you can use the Flowbike
on public property before you drive it there. When the use of the Flowbike is not legal on public property in your
area, then you are only allowed to use it on private property. Especially keep track of pedestrians when you drive
this device.
2. The Flowbike must not be used by small children. Parents shall judge if the children have the required coordination,
ability and judgement to use the Flowbike properly.
3. The Flowbike is designed for the use of one person only at a time. It must never be used by more than one person
at a time. Do not carry heavy or spacious objects with you when driving.
4. Always adjust your speed to the driving conditions. Never go to fast, especially when driving downhills. Never use
only the front brake while driving fast, since this could lead to an accident by tipping over.
