Phase 1 - Assembling a Worksurface to
the Beam with a Standard 1" Gap
NOTE: For worksurfaces that are installed tight to the
beam, follow the steps below except hook the tether
brackets to the beam before attaching the worksurface
to the brackets.
NOTE: Worksurfaces require support from low storage
units, and NOT from tether brackets alone.
NOTE: Worksurfaces can be installed and removed
beneath 48" high mid-storage units for 1" gap
applications.
CAUTION: Worksurfaces MUST ALWAYS maintain a
1" MINIMUM GAP to a height adjustable desk.
1. Inventory and stage all worksurfaces, tether
brackets and lower storage units.
2. Attach two or three tether brackets to the underside
and back edge of the worksurface, five inches from
each end, and in the center per the table below.
Diagonal pilot holes are provided for 1" gap
applications.

3. Move the lower storage unit into the approximate
location, the front about 24" from the beam.
4. Hook the tether brackets into the beam’s top cap
side channel by angling the worksurface upward in the
front until the brackets enter the channel (4a), and
then rotating the worksurface back to level, resting on
the storage unit (4b).
NOTE: Worksurfaces can be adjusted laterally, while
tethered to top cap (for 1" gap applications) by angling
their fronts up enough to allow the tether brackets to
slide. DO NOT slide worksurfaces with storage units
attached.
5. Adjust the storage unit glides to close the gap
between the worksurface and the storage unit, and to
level the storage unit and the worksurface.
6. Once the worksurface and storage unit is properly
aligned, secure the front of the storage unit to the
underside of the worksurface, with two (2) 1" long
screws through the storage unit front cross brace.

Phase 2 - Assembling a Mid-Storage to
the Beam
CAUTION: Mid-Storage units MUST ALWAYS maintain a
1" MINIMUM GAP to a height adjustable desk.
1. Inventory and stage all mid-storage units, stanchions
and brackets.
2. For shared storage, determine which side of the
storage unit will be the underside by referencing the
specifications.
3. On the bottom of the 48" wide storage unit, mark
the lateral centerline for each stanchion with a pencil
line at 9" parallel to each end.
4. On the bottom of the 18" deep shared storage unit,
mark the fore-aft centerline for each stanchion by
putting a pencil line at 9" from the front or back edge (4a).
For individual storage units, the fore-aft centerline is at
5-1/2" from the back edge (4b).

5. Place the stanchion on the storage unit, with their
tube holes facing inward (5a). Make sure the pencil
marks are aligned with the stanchion plate locating
notches (5b). Mark all hole locations with a pencil for
both stanchions (5c). Remove and drill 1/8" diameter
pilot holes through the laminate surface only (hole
depth only a 1/4") (5d). Secure each stanchion with
eight (8) 3/4" long flat head screws provided (5e).
NOTE: Make sure the tube holes are facing inward.

6. Determine the location of the end of the storage unit
on the beam.
7. Put a pencil line on the beam top cap at 9-1/2" from
the end of the mid-storage location, and a second pencil
line at 28-3/4" from the first line.
NOTE: Two pair of stanchion brackets are required, with
a pair consisting of one bracket with a clearance hole
and the other with a tapped hole.
8. Align the inside face of the stanchion brackets to the top
cap lines and secure with the 1/2" long bolts provided.
TIP: 9-1/2” and 28-3/4" long spacer blocks can be used
to aid in positioning the stanchion brackets.
9. Carefully set the mid-storage onto the stanchion
brackets and secure with four (4) 5/8” long flat head
bolts provided.

Phase 3 - Assembling a Verb Bracket to an
Ology Desk
1. Position the Verb bracket against the end of the Ology
desk, with the mounting flanges centered on the leg.
2. Mark both hole locations with a pencil.
3. Remove & drill 1/8" diameter pilot holes into the bottom
of the worksurface (hole depth only a 1/4").
4. Secure the bracket with two (2) 1" long screws provided.

Phase 4 - Assembling a Screen to the Beam
1. Inventory and stage all screens, decorative covers and screen stanchion
brackets.
2. Determine the location of the end of the screen on the beam.
3. Put a pencil line on the beam top cap at 5-1/2" from the end of the screen
location, and a second pencil line, per the charted dimension, from the first line.
NOTE: Two pair of stanchion brackets are required, with a pair consisting of one
bracket with a clearance hole and the other with a tapped hole.
4. Align the inside surface of both stanchion brackets to the pencil lines and
swing stanchion brackets together. Secure with the three (3) 3/16" long flat head
bolts provided per stanchion bracket.
TIP: A spacer block between the two stanchion brackets
can be used as a positioning aid.

5. Slide decorative cover over each stanchion bracket.
6. Carefully slide the screen down onto the stanchion
brackets.

Phase 5 - Assembling a Screen to the Ology Desk
1. Inventory and stage all screens and stanchion brackets.
2. Determine if the screen is going to be mounted in the rear or on
the side of the Ology desk and install the appropriate stanchions.
Install each stanchion into the screen until it bottoms out against
the notch on the stanchion.
