Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG
Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das eigenmächtige Umbauen
und/oder Verändern des Gerätes nicht gestattet. Um einen sicheren Betrieb mit dem
Gerät zu gewährleisten, müssen Sie die Sicherheitshinweise, Warnvermerke und
das Kapitel "Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung" unbedingt beachten.
WARNUNG
Beachten Sie vor dem Gebrauch des Gerätes bitte folgende Hinweise:
|Vermeiden Sie einen Betrieb des Gerätes in der Nähe von elektrischen
Schweißgeräten, Induktionsheizern und anderen elektromagnetischen Feldern.
|Nach abrupten Temperaturwechseln muss das Gerät vor dem Gebrauch zur
Stabilisierung ca. 30 Minuten an die neue Umgebungstemperatur angepasst
werden um den IR-Sensor zu stabilisieren.
|Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht längere Zeit hohen Temperaturen aus.
|Vermeiden Sie staubige und feuchte Umgebungsbedingungen.
|Messgeräte und Zubehör sind kein Spielzeug und gehören nicht in Kinderhände!
|In gewerblichen Einrichtungen sind die Unfallverhütungsvorschriften des
Verbandes der gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften für elektrische Anlagen
und Betriebsmittel zu beachten.

Gewährleistungsansprüche des Bedieners gegenüber dem Hersteller.

Diese Bedienungsanleitung wurde mit großer Sorgfalt erstellt. Für die Richtigkeit und
Vollständigkeit der Daten, Abbildungen und Zeichnungen wird keine Gewähr übernommen.
Änderungen, Druckfehler und Irrtümer vorbehalten.
Entsorgung
Sehr geehrter Testboy-Kunde, mit dem Erwerb unseres Produktes haben Sie die Möglichkeit, das
Gerät nach Ende seines Lebenszyklus an geeignete Sammelstellen für Elektroschrott
zurückzugeben.
Die WEEE regelt die Rücknahme und das Recycling von Elektroaltgeräten.
Hersteller von Elektrogeräten sind dazu verpflichtet, Elektrogeräte, die verkauft
werden, kostenfrei zurückzunehmen und zu recyceln. Elektrogeräte dürfen
dann nicht mehr in die „normalen“ Abfallströme eingebracht werden.
Elektrogeräte sind separat zu recyceln und zu entsorgen. Alle Geräte, die unter
diese Richtlinie fallen, sind mit diesem Logo gekennzeichnet.
Entsorgung von gebrauchten Batterien
Sie als Endverbraucher sind gesetzlich (Batteriegesetz) zur Rückgabe aller
gebrauchten Batterien und Akkus verpflichtet; eine Entsorgung über den
Hausmüll ist untersagt!
Schadstoffhaltige Batterien/Akkus sind mit nebenstehenden Symbolen
gekennzeichnet, die auf das Verbot der Entsorgung über den Hausmüll hinweisen.
Die Bezeichnungen für das ausschlaggebende Schwermetall sind:
Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Quecksilber, Pb = Blei.
Ihre verbrauchten Batterien/Akkus können Sie unentgeltlich bei den
Sammelstellen Ihrer Gemeinde oder überall dort abgeben, wo Batterien/Akkus
verkauft werden!

Bedienung
Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für den Testboy®TB115 Bit entschieden haben.
Berührungslose Spannungsprüfung ab 12 V AC
Integrierter Bithalter
Berührungslose Spannungsprüfung
Der Testboy®TB115 Bit ist in der Lage, mit dem in der
Spitze integrierten Schaltkreis spannungsführende
Leitungen aufzuspüren.
Wird eine Wechselspannung > 110 Volt AC erkannt,
leuchtet die weiße Kappe rot auf (siehe Bild Punkt 1a).
Um Spannungen unter 110 V AC aufspüren zu können,
schalten Sie mittels Schalter in den 12 Volt-Modus um
(1b). Die weiße Kappe leuchtet nun blau (siehe Bild Punkt
1a). Nun können Wechselspannungen ab 12 V AC
aufgespürt werden. Wird eine Wechselspannung ab 12
Volt AC erkannt, leuchtet die weiße Kappe nun violett
(blau+rot) auf (siehe Bild Punkt 1a).
Ein Stromfluss ist nicht erforderlich!
Überprüfen Sie den Spannungsprüfer vor dem Einsatz an einer bekannten
Spannungsquelle (z.B. Steckdose) auf einwandfreie Funktion!
Bei Beschädigungen darf der Spannungsprüfer nicht verwendet werden!
Wenn beim Verwenden dieser Funktion die Spitze nicht aufleuchtet, kann dennoch eine
Spannung anliegen. Das Prüfgerät zeigt aktive Spannungen an, die ausreichend starke
elektrische Felder von Stromquellen (Stromnetz) erzeugen. Ist die Feldstärke niedrig, zeigt das
Gerät eine anliegende Spannung möglicherweise nicht an. Erkennt das Gerät eine vorhandene
Spannung nicht, kann das unter anderem auf die nachfolgend aufgeführten Faktoren
zurückzuführen sein:
● Abgeschirmte Drähte/Kabel
● Dicke und Art der Isolierung
● Abstand von der Spannungsquelle
● Vollisolierte Verbraucher, die eine effektive Erdung verhindern.
● Buchsen in Einbausteckdosen / Unterschiede in der Steckdosenausführung
● Zustand des Geräts und der Batterien

WARNUNG
Vorsicht bei Spannungen über 30 V, es besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen
Schlags.
NUR FÜR DEN EINSATZ DURCH FACHKUNDIGES PERSONAL VORGESEHEN
Jeder, der dieses Messinstrument verwendet, sollte entsprechend ausgebildet und mit den
besonderen, in einem industriellen Umfeld auftretenden Gefahren bei der Spannungsmessung,
den notwendigen Sicherheitsvorkehrungen und den Verfahren zur Überprüfung der
ordnungsgemäßen Funktion des Geräts vor und nach jedem Gebrauch vertraut sein.
Die berührungslose Spannungsprüfung ist nicht geeignet, um festzustellen, ob eine Leitung unter
Spannung steht oder nicht.
Definition der Messkategorien:
Messkategorie II: Messungen an Stromkreisen, die elektrisch über Stecker direkt mit dem
Niederspannungsnetz verbunden sind. Typischer Kurzschlussstrom < 10 kA
Messkategorie III: Messungen innerhalb der Gebäudeinstallation (stationäre Verbraucher mit
nicht steckbarem Anschluss, Verteileranschluss, fest eingebaute Geräte im Verteiler). Typischer
Kurzschlussstrom < 50 kA
Messkategorie IV: Messungen an der Quelle der Niederspannungsinstallation (Zähler,
Hauptanschluss, primärer Überstromschutz). Typischer Kurzschlussstrom >> 50 kA
Testen Sie das Gerät sowohl vor als auch nach Gebrauch an einer bekannten, im Nennbereich
des Geräts liegenden Spannungsquelle, um die ordnungsgemäße Funktion des Geräts zu
gewährleisten.
Lesen Sie vor Gebrauch diese Anleitung. Wenn das Gerät nicht den Herstellerangaben
entsprechend eingesetzt wird, kann der durch das Gerät bereitgestellte Schutz beeinträchtigt
werden.
Bei einer Kombination aus Messsonde und Zubehör ist die niedrigere der beiden Messkategorien
von Messsonde und Zubehör zu verwenden.
Wenn vom Hersteller oder seinem Vertreter nicht ausdrücklich gestattet, dürfen Teile des Geräts
und seines Zubehörs nicht verändert und ersetzt werden.
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Geräts ein trockenes Tuch.

Bithalter
Setzen Sie Ihren gewünschten Bit in die
dafür eingerichtete Aufnahme (siehe Bild
Punkt 3). Dank eines integrierten Magneten
kann der Bit nicht herausfallen.
Wir empfehlen, aufgrund der technischen
Konstruktion, nur kleine Biteinsätze zu
verwenden.
Batteriewechsel
Nehmen Sie einen Schraubendreher und hebeln Sie das Batteriefach an der Einkerbung auf
(siehe Bild Punkt 2). Achten Sie beim Einsetzen der neuen Batterien auf die Polarität!
Nur geschlossenes Gerät in Betrieb nehmen!
Batterien gehören nicht in den Hausmüll. Auch in Ihrer Nähe befindet sich eine
Sammelstelle!

Objects can also be damaged (e.g., the instrument itself can be damaged).
WARNING
An electric shock can result in death or severe injury. It can also lead to property
damage and damage to this instrument.
WARNING
Never point the laser beam directly or indirectly (on reflective surfaces) towards the
eyes. Laser radiation can cause irreparable damage to the eyes. You must first
deactivate the laser beam when measuring close to people.
General safety notes
WARNING
Unauthorized changes or modifications of the instrument are forbidden –such
changes put the approval (CE) and safety of the instrument at risk. In order to
operate the instrument safely, you must always observe the safety instructions,
warnings and the information in the "Proper and Intended Use" Chapter.
WARNING
Please observe the following information before using the instrument:
|Do not operate the instrument in the proximity of electrical welders, induction
heaters and other electromagnetic fields.
|After an abrupt temperature fluctuation, the instrument should be allowed to
adjust to the new temperature for about 30 minutes before using it. This helps to
stabilize the IR sensor.
|Do not expose the instrument to high temperatures for a long period of time.
|Avoid dusty and humid surroundings.
|Measurement instruments and their accessories are not toys. Children should
never be allowed access to them!
|In industrial institutions, you must follow the accident prevention regulations for
electrical facilities and equipment, as established by your employer's liability
insurance organization.

Please observe the following five safety rules:
1Disconnect.
2Ensure that the instrument cannot be turned back on again.
3Ensure isolation from the main supply voltage (check that there is no voltage on
both poles).
4Earth and short-circuit.
5Cover neighbouring parts that are under live electrical load.
Proper and intended use
This instrument is intended for use in applications described in the operation manual only. Any
other usage is considered improper and non-approved us-age and can result in accidents or the
destruction of the instrument. Any misuse will result in the expiry of all guarantee and warranty
claims on the part of the operator against the manufacturer.
Remove the batteries during longer periods of inactivity in order to avoid damaging
the instrument.
We assume no liability for damages to property or personal injury caused by improper
handling or failure to observe safety instructions. Any warranty claim expires in such
cases. An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates safety notices in the operating
instructions. Read the instructions completely before beginning the initial
commissioning. This instrument is CE approved and thus fulfils the required
guidelines.

For Testboy customers: Purchasing our product gives you the opportunity to return the instrument
to collection points for waste electrical equipment at the end of its lifespan.
The WEEE directive regulates the return and recycling of electrical appliances.
Manufacturers of electrical appliances are obliged to take back and recycle all
electrical appliances free of charge. Electrical devices may then no longer be
disposed of through conventional waste disposal channels. Electrical
appliances must be recycled and disposed of separately. All equipment subject
to this directive is marked with this logo.
Disposing of used batteries
As an end user, you are legally obliged (by the relevant laws concerning battery
disposal) to return all used batteries. Disposal with normal household waste is
prohibited!
Contaminant-laden batteries are labelled with the adjacent symbol which
indicates the prohibition of disposal with normal household waste.
The abbreviations used for heavy metals are:
Cd = Cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
You can return your used batteries for no charge to collection points in your
community or everywhere where batteries are sold!

Operation
Thank you for choosing a Testboy®TB115 Bit.
| Non-contact voltage tester from 12 V AC
| Integrated bit bracket
Non-contact voltage test
The Testboy®TB115 Bit is capable of detecting wires
carrying live voltages using its built-in circuits in its tip.
If a voltage of 110 V AC or more is detected, the white
cap will glow red (1a) and the device vibrates. To detect
voltages below 110 V AC, switch the flashlight on using
the switch (1b). The white cap now illuminates blue (see
figure point 1a). Now voltages from 12 V AC can be
detected. If an AC voltage of 12 Volt AC or higher is
detected, the white cap will illuminate purple (blue + red
see figure, point 1a).
A flowing current is not required!
Check the voltage tester before use against a known voltage supply (e.g. a power
socket) to ensure that it is working correctly.
Do not use the voltage tester if damaged!
When using the Tester, if tip does not glow, voltage could still be present. The Tester indicates
active voltage in the presence of electrostatic fields of sufficient strength generated from the
source (MAINS) voltage. If the field strength is low, the Tester may not provide indication of live
voltages. Lack of an indication occurs if the Tester is unable to sense the presence of voltage
which may be influenced by several factors including, but not limited to:
● Shielded wire/cables
● Thickness and type of insulation
● Distance from the voltage source
● Fully-isolated users that prevent an effective ground
● Receptacles in recessed sockets/ differences in socket design
● Condition of the Tester and Batteries

WARNING
Use caution with voltages above 30 V ac as a shock hazard may exist.
FOR USE BY COMPETENT PERSONS
Anyone using this instrument should be knowledgeable and trained about the risks involved with
measuring voltage, especially in an industrial setting, and the importance of taking safety
precautions and of testing the instrument before and after using it to ensure that it is in good
working condition.
The single-pole phase testing is not appropriate to determine whether a line is live or not. For this
purpose, the double-pole voltage test is always required.
Definition of measurement categories.
Measurement category II:
Measurement category II is applicable to test and measuring circuits connected directly to
utilization points (socket outlets and similar points) of the low-voltage mains installation. Typical
short-circuit current is < 10 kA.
Measurement category III:
Measurement category III is applicable to test and measuring circuits connected to the distribution
part of the building’s low-voltage mains installation. Typical short-circuit current is < 50 kA.
Measurement category IV:
Measurement category IV is applicable to test and measuring circuits connected at the source of
the building’s low-voltage mains installation. Typical short-circuit current is >>50 kA.
Read the instruction before use. If the equipment is used in a manner not specified by the
manufacturer, the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
All parts of the device and its accessories are not allowed to be changed or replaced, other than
authorized by the manufacturer or his agent.
For cleaning the unit, use a dry cloth.

Bit bracket
Insert the desired bit in the bracket designed
for this purpose (see figure, point 3). An
integrated magnet prevents the bit from
falling out.In view of the technical design, we
recommend that you only use small bits.
Changing the batteries
Insert a screwdriver in to the notch (2) and pry the battery compartment cover off. Make sure you
insert the batteries the right way round!
Only commission instruments that are closed!
Do not dispose of batteries in normal household rubbish! Use an authorised local
collection point!

Mise au rebut
Cher client Testboy, en achetant notre produit, vous avez la possibilité de rendre l'appareil à des
points de collecte pour déchets électroniques au terme de son cycle de vie.
La directive WEEE réglemente la reprise et le recyclage des appareils électriques
usagés. Les fabricants d'appareils électriques sont tenus de reprendre et de
recycler gratuitement les appareils électriques vendus. Les appareils électriques
ne peuvent donc plus être jetés avec les déchets « normaux ». Les appareils
électriques doivent être recyclés et éliminés séparément. Tous les appareils
soumis à cette directive portent ce logo.
Mise au rebut de piles usagées
En tant que consommateur final, vous êtes tenu par la loi (loi sur les piles) de
rendre toutes vos piles et accumulateurs ; la mise aux déchets ménagers est
interdite !
Les piles/accumulateurs comportant des substances polluantes sont repérés par
les symboles ci-contre, indiquant l'interdiction de mise aux déchets ménagers.
Les désignations du métal lourd déterminant sont les suivantes :
Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercure, Pb = plomb.
Vous pouvez rendre vos piles/accumulateurs usagés gratuitement à tous les points
de collecte de votre commune ou aux points de vente de piles / accumulateurs !

Utilisation
Nous vous remercions vivement d'avoir acheté le Testboy®TB115 Bit.

Contrôle de tension sans contact
Grâce au circuit électrique intégré dans sa pointe de test, le
Testboy®TB115 Bit est capable de détecter tout conducteur
sous tension.
Si une tension alternative supérieure à 110 Volt est détectée,
le capuchon blanc s'allume en rouge (voir repère 1a sur la
figure) et l'appareil vibre. Pour pouvoir détecter les tensions
inférieures à 110 V CA, allumez la lampe de poche à l'aide
de l'interrupteur (1b). Le capuchon blanc devient bleu (voir
image au point 1a). Vous pouvez maintenant détecter les
tensions alternatives dès 12 V CA. Le capuchon blanc passe
au violet lorsqu’une tension alternative égale ou supérieure
à 12 V CA est détectée (voir image au point 1a).
Aucun passage de courant n'est nécessaire !
Avant utilisation, vérifier le fonctionnement impeccable du contrôleur de tension
sur une source de tension connue (par ex. prise de courant) !
Si lors de l'utilisation de cette fonction, la lampe ne s'allume pas, il est possible qu'une tension
soit quand même présente. L'appareil de contrôle indique des tensions actives, générant depuis
des sources de courant (réseau électrique) des champs électriques suffisamment forts. Si
l'intensité du champ est basse, l'appareil peut ne pas indiquer une tension qui lui serait appliquée.
Si l'appareil ne reconnaît pas une tension présente, l'origine peut se trouver dans les facteurs
cités ci-dessous :
● fils/câbles blindés/écrantés
● épaisseur et nature de l'isolant
● distance par rapport à la source de tension
● consommateurs totalement isolés, empêchant une mise à la masse efficace.
● prise dans des prises femelles intégrées / différences dans le modèles des prises
● état de l'appareil et des piles

Chaque personne utilisant cet instrument de mesure devrait être formée en conséquence et être
familiarisée avec les risques particuliers survenant dans un environnement industriel lors de la
mesure de tension, ainsi qu'avec les dispositions de sécurité et les procédures de vérification du
fonctionnement correct de l'appareil, avant et après chaque utilisation.
Le contrôle de tension sans contact ne convient pas pour déterminer si une ligne est sous tension
ou ne l'est pas.
Définition des catégories de mesure :
Catégorie de mesure II : il s'agit des mesures sur les circuits électriques reliés directement au
réseau basse tension par connecteur. Courant de court-circuit typique < 10 kA
Catégorie de mesure III : mesures au sein des installations de bâtiment (consommateurs à
demeure, raccordés sans connecteur, raccordement divisionnaire, équipements intégrés en fixe
au tableau de distribution). Courant de court-circuit typique < 50 kA
Catégorie de mesure IV : mesures sur la source de l'installation basse tension (compteurs,
raccordement principal, protection primaire contre les surintensités). Courant de court-circuit
typique >> 50 kA
Tester l'appareil aussi bien avant qu'après utilisation, sur une source de tension connue située
dans l'étendue nominale de l'appareil afin de garantir le fonctionnement correct de celui-ci.
Lire la présente notice avant utilisation. Si l'appareil n'est pas utilisé conformément aux
indications du constructeur, la protection mise à disposition par l'appareil peut être entravée.
En cas d'association entre sonde de mesure et accessoires, il faut utiliser la plus faible des deux
catégories de mesure entre sonde et accessoire.
Sauf autorisation expresse du constructeur ou de son représentant, il est interdit de modifier ou
de remplacer des pièces de l'appareil et de ses accessoires.
Pour nettoyer l'appareil, utiliser un chiffon sec.

Placez l’embout souhaité dans le logement
prévu à cet effet (cf. image au point 3).
L’embout ne peut pas tomber grâce aux
aimants intégrés.Nous recommandons de
n’utiliser que des petits embouts en raison de
la conception technique du logement.
Remplacement des piles
A l'aide d'un tournevis, soulevez le compartiment des piles par l'encoche (voir repère 2 sur la
figure). Lors de la mise en place des piles neuves, veiller à respecter la polarité !
Mettre l'appareil en service uniquement lorsqu'il est fermé !
Ne pas mettre les piles dans les déchets ménagers. Des points de collecte existent,
même près de chez vous !
