Portable blind stitch machine TEXI model Compacta
is a sewing machine designed for woven and knitted fabrics. Machine should not be used for purposes other than those to
which it was intended.
Failure to follow the above rule may be dangerous and may cause permanent damage to the machine.

1. General safety rules
This instruction manual contains important guidelines regarding correct, safe and economical method of use of the machine.
Following recommendations contained in this manual will decrease work down-time, increase machine reliability and durability,
and will make work safer.
This instruction manual must always be available at the workplace. The machine can be serviced only by an employee trained in
Industrial Safety, after reading this instruction manual.
The supplier is not responsible for damages caused by improper use or by usage of this product for functions other than those it
has been designed for.
GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
To minimize the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following precautions:
- Keep the workplace clean.
-Pay attention to the machine’s work environment; do not subject it to atmospheric conditions.
- Do not install the machine in rooms that are dusty, where aerosols are sprayed, or to which oxygen is supplied.
- Keep the workplace well lit.
- Be careful of danger of electric shock.
- Pay attention to clothing. Let-down hair or loose clothing can be caught by the machine’s mobile elements.
- Take care not to damage the power supply cable.
- When the machine is not in use, disconnect it from the power grid.
- Take care not to turn-on the machine accidentally.
- In case of even the slightest damage, always check if the damaged part requires replacement.
- Never install on the machine attachments and accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer and supplier.
- Do not perform machine modifications independently.
- Do not leave near the machine unattended bystanders or children.
Electric installation
Check if the supply voltage in the electric socket corresponds to the data on the machine’s rating plate 1-phase voltage 230V
50Hz.
Check the correctness of electric connections in the plug and electric socket, observing electric shock safety
countermeasures.
Do not use extension power cords.
Apply the valid electrical and Industrial Safety norms.
ATTENTION –all work related to the electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Before starting work
Using machine without any of the safeguarding parts (finger guard, eye guard, etc.) is dangerous to an operator.
During work, only the items necessary for sewing should be found on the machine’s work table.
Before connecting the machine to the power grid, always release the pedal and the start button.
Do not use blunt or bent needles.
Do not touch any of the machine’s mobile elements, such as the needle, needle bar, thread tensioner or take-up, or hook, during
its operation.
Turn machine off before: replacing needle, threading, installing attachments, etc.
If you notice any abnormalities in the machine’s function, turn it off immediately and inform a mechanic or your superior. After
finishing work, turn the machine off and remove the plug from the electric socket. In case of power grid failure, disconnect the
machine from the power grid.
This machine is not a toy!
We hope that you will use this machine with pleasure for a long time.

3. Setting the machine in a working place
Unpack the machine together with all parts and accessories.
A. Positioning
Set the machine on a stable surface, preferably on its right, front corner. Fasten the machine to the table edge with clamps,
which are attached to the equipment. The clamp is slipped into front or right groove in the machine.
Choice of locking groove depends upon how user wants to set the machine on the table. Make sure the machine is fixed and
will not fall down from the table during work. Figure 2 shows how to fix the machine.
B. Installation of thread stand
First, loosen the set screw of the thread guide (1) and place the thread guide (2) and bolt assembly (3) in the hole at the back
of the machine. Then tighten the set screw (1).
Loosen the screw (4) and adjust the guide head (5) in the direction of the spool pin (6). Then tighten the screw (4).

D. Knee lifter installation
Put the sleeve (1) on the free end of the shaft (2) and put the pin (3) into the groove of the L-shaped sleeve.
In case of adjusting of the knee lifter, unscrew the set screw (4) and adjust the knee lifter angle. Then tighten the set
screw (4).

C. Pedal installation
Insert the plug of the pedal, with three holes, into an outlet on the right side of the machine, and the electrical plug insert into
the wall outlet.
Put the pedal on the floor and try to set the speed of the machine by pressing on the pedal.

4. Lubrication
Lubrication is important because it ensures trouble-free operation and long machine life. Therefore, after setting the machine,
as described in Chapter 3 A, it’s necessary to let a few drops of oil to all openings of the machine, as shown on Figure 7.
After opening the side cover and back cover one should also lubricate moving parts inside the machine.
Every day, before work, you should let one or two drops of oil to all openings indicated on Figure 7.
It is recommended that lubrication was carried out always after work, in order to avoid contamination of sewn material. Thus,
excessive oil can trickle, and in the machine will remain only the required amount of it. Prior to starting work, verify that the
machine was cleaned from excessive oil. To completely remove the excessive oil, before starting work you should stitch for
about a minute on the machine, with the knee lift pressed.
5. Needle and material
It is recommended to use needles system 2140 TP (LWx6T).
In order to obtain best sewing result, you should properly adjust needles size to the sewn material.

6. Needle exchange
Turn pulley clockwise until the needle is in its extreme left position. Loosen the set screw and pull the needle out (1).
Insert new needle into needle holder (2), pushing it as deep as possible. Then tighten the needle set screw (1). Note: Figure
8 presents elements of the needle holder.
7. Threading the machine
A. If you use cone thread, you should also use plastic cap, which you can find on the thread stand.

B.If you use bobbin thread, before placing it on the stand you should take the plastic cap out of the thread stand.
C. In order to sew correctly on the machine, the thread should be run exactly as shown on Figure 9.
If you are using a thread tensioner, first you must thread the thread through the rear eye of the thread guide (1). Then lead
the thread between the two tensioner discs (2), as per Figure 9. Thread the thread from the back of the front eye of the
thread guide. Lead thread to the front of the machine, lead it from the top to the thread guide (3) and eye (4).
Then make sure that the needle is at the extreme left position. Thread the thread from the bottom, through the needle’s eye,
as shown on Figure 11.
It is easier to thread the needle eye, when the working table is open after loosening the set screw (Figure 12).

8. Placing material and start of sewing
Press the knee lifter. The cylinder bed will make a swing motion to the bottom and create a gap between the foot and the bed.
Insert material into the gap in such way that the material’s rolled edge was placed along the edge guide of the foot.
When the material is in the correct position, release the knee lifter. Slowly run the machine and focus on observing the
material running through the edge guide.
Insert material, as shown on Figure 14-1.

9. Thread tension adjustment
Depending on the type of material and thread, a different thread tension is required. Tension is adjusted by turning the thread
tensioner knob, located on the top of the machine arm.
In order to increase the thread tension, turn the knob clockwise. In order to decrease the thread tension, turn the knob counter
clockwise. Do not increase or decrease the thread tension by more than a quarter of a turn at once. Make sure the thread is
properly tensioned and, if necessary, re-adjust it.
10. Stitch length adjustment
Open the side cover by loosening two screws. Unscrew two screws (1) of the stitch length adjusting ring (2). Turn ring (2) up
to achieving the desired value, indicated in the groove of the eccentricity index. Then carefully tighten the screws (1).
Preset value of the stitch length is "6".

We recommend performing some test stitches on various types of materials, in order to select an appropriate stitch length.
11. Needle penetration depth adjustment
The depth of needle penetration in the material can be adjusted by turning the controller of the measuring pin, placed at the
front of the machine.
It is recommended to start sewing with smallest possible needle penetration depth and sew a short test seam,
to prevent damage to needle and machine. After testing, check material appearance and, if necessary make adjustment to
obtain the desired look of the stitch.
Note: Initial and final value of the penetration depth is adjusted by means of built-in plungers. Do not push the needle to
plungers.

12. Removing material from machine
Stop the machine and turn the pulley clockwise, until the needle comes out entirely from the material. Push the knee lifter to
the right and pull the material from the machine to the back, quite quickly. This closes the last stitch and brakes the thread.

13. Механизм интервала
С правой стороны машины находится ручной рычаг, который управляет механизмом интервала. Когда рычаг
расположен в позиции в материале будет прошиваться каждый стежок. Когда рычаг расположен в
позиции в материале в процессе шитья будет пропускаться каждый второй стежок.
Чтобы обеспечить нормальную работу, не следует двигать рычаг до остановки машины. Если рычаг находится в
средней позиции, машина будет работать нормально. Если рычаг будет перемещен между позициями и
тогда следует проверить и заново отрегулировать глубину прокалывания иглы.

12. Вынимание материала из машины
Остановите машину и поверните ременное колесо в направлении от оператора, чтобы игла полностью вышла из
материала. Прижмите коленный подъемник вправо и достаточно быстрым движением вытяните материал из
машины назад. Это приведет к закрытию последнего стежка и обрыву нитки.

13. Interval mechanism
On the right side of the machine there is a hand lever that controls the interval mechanism. When the lever indicates "No
Skip" position, the machine will sew every stitch. When the lever indicates "Skip" position, the machine will skip every second
stitch.
Do not move lever before stopping the machine, to ensure its proper operation. If the lever is in the middle position, the
machine will work normally. If the lever will be moved between positions "Skip" and "No Skip, you should check and re-
adjusted the depth of needle penetration.

10. Регулировка длины стежка
Откройте боковую крышку, откручивая два винта. Открутите два крепежных винта (1) кольца, регулирующего
длину стежка (2). Поворачивайте кольцо (2) до достижения необходимого значения, указанного в пазу эксцентрика.
Затем осторожно дотяните винты (1).
Значение длины стежка, установленное заводским способом, составляет 

11. Регулировка глубины прокалывания иглы
Глубину проникновения иглы в материал можно регулировать путем поворачивания регулятора измерительного
стержня, расположенного в передней части машины.
Рекомендуется начинать шитье при как можно более мелком проникновении иглы и прошить короткий пробный
шов, с целью предотвращения повреждения иглы и машины. Проверьте внешний вид материала после шитья,
выполняя, в случае необходимости, регулировку глубины прокола иглы, чтобы добиться идеального вида стежка.
Внимание: Начальное и конечное значение глубины прокалывания регулируется при помощи встроенных подбоек.
Не прижимайте иглу к подбойкам.

9. Регулировка натяжения нити
В зависимости от вида ткани и нити, требуется различное натяжение нити. Натяжение нити регулируется путем
вращения воротка нитенатяжителя, расположенного сверху плеча машины.
С целью увеличения натяжения нити следует повернуть вороток в направлении от себя (по часовой стрелке). С
целью уменьшения натяжения нити, следует повернуть вороток в направлении на себя (против часовой стрелки).
Не увеличивайте и не уменьшайте натяжение нити более, чем на четверть оборота за один раз. Проверьте,
надлежащим ли образом натянута нить и, в случае необходимости, заново отрегулируйте напряжение.

8. Размещение материала и начало шитья
Нажмите на коленный подъемник. Это приведет к перемещению цилиндрического полотна маятниковым
движением вниз и образованию щели между лапкой и полотном. Вставьте материал в образовавшуюся щель
таким образом, чтобы подогнутый край ткани был расположен вдоль крайней направляющей лапки.
Когда ткань находится в надлежащей позиции, полностью ослабьте коленный подъемник. Медленно запустите
машину и внимательно наблюдайте за материалом, проходящим через крайнюю направляющую.
В случае шитья подогнутого края материала, следует вставлять материал так, как показано на рисунке 14-1.

B. В случае использования нити на катушке, перед тем, как поместить катушку на стояк нитки, следует снять
пластмассовую насадку
C. С целью надлежащего шитья на машине, нить следует вести точно так, как показано на рисунке 9.
В случае использования нитенатяжителя, следует сначала продеть нитку сквозь заднее ушко нитенатяжителя (1).
Затем провести нить между двумя дисками нитенатяжителя (2), как показано на рисунке 9. Продеть нитку назад
сквозь ушко нитеводителя. Провести нить вперед машины, продеть нить сверху в нитеводитель (3) и петли зажима
(4).
Следует убедиться, находится ли игла в крайнем левом положении. Продеть нить вниз сквозь ушко иглы, как
показано на рисунке 11.
Продевать нитку сквозь ушко иглы легче, когда рабочая панель будет открыта после ослабления крепежного винта
(рисунок 12).

6. Требования для иглы
Поворачивать вороток в направлении по часовой стрелке, пока игла не остановится в левом крайнем положении.
Вытянуть замененную иглу, откручивая крепежный винт (1).
Вставить новую иглу в держатель (2), прижимая ее как можно дальше влево. Затем прикрутить крепежный винт
иглы(1). Внимание: На рисунке 8 представлен разобранный иглодержатель и его части.
7. Продевание нити
A. В случае использования нити на катушке в форме конуса, ее следует вставить на пластмассовую насадку,
расположенную на стояке нитки.
