WhatareDoorExitAlarmsusedfor?

Thekeypadisusedtoarm/disarmadooralarmfrominsidetheresident’shome.
BeforeaCarerleavestheyenteracodetostartanexittime,whenthisperiodexpiresthealarmisset.
Whenthedoorisopenedanentrytimestarts,ifthecodeisnotre‐enteredanalarmwillbetransmitted.

Ifthedoorremainsopenwithoutthecodebeingenteredthealarmwillre‐reportafterapresettime(default2minutes),thiswill
repeatuntilthedoorisclosed.Thedooralarmwillnotbedisarmeduntilthecodeisentered.

WhereshouldtheDoorExitAlarmbefitted?

Thekeypadshouldbewallmountedinsidethehome,usuallyalongsidethedoorbeingmonitored.Thekeypadshouldbewithin3
metresofthedoorcontact,boxedtransmitterandamainssocketotherwisetheleadsprovidedwillneedtobeextended.

TypicalToolsRequired

Checkforcablesandpipesinthewallbeforeusingthedrill.
Makesurethecorrecttypedrillbitandscrewdriversareused.

FittingtheKeypad 

Removethetopsectionofthe
keypadbypressingthe2plastic
clips“A”onthetopedgewitha
flatbladedscrewdriver


Testing&RegisteringtheDoorExitAlarm

AtestcallisnecessarytolearntheDoorExitAlarmontotheReach
at‐homealarm,AdventxtwardencallorAltecResponsecareralarm.

Seethefollowingpagesforhowtoputeachofthese  
productsinto“LearnMode”.

PressBOTHBUTTONSTOGETHER,thekeypadwillbeepfor5seconds
andtheREDLIGHTwillflashonthetransmitterforapprox8seconds.


Therangeofallradiodevicescanbeaffectedbythe
workingenvironment–alwaystakecareduring
installationandperformseveraltestcalls.


BatteryLife

Thetransmitterbatteryischeckedonceaday,ifthevoltagefallsandstaysbelowapresetlevelfor7consecutivedaysalow
batteryalertisautomaticallytransmitted.Oncealowbatterycallisreceivedtransmittermoduleshouldbereplacedwithin7
days.TransmittersmustbereturnedtoTynetec/Aidcallforbatteryreplacement.

