GENERAL SAFETY
REFERENCE
IMPORTANT: Read all operating instructions.
EYE INJURY HAZARD
Always wear safety glasses with side shields that
conform to ANSI Standard Z87.1.
STRAP BREAKAGE HAZARD
Place the strap correctly around a properly positioned
load. Improper strapping or unstable or shifted loads
may result in a sudden loss of strap tension during
tensioning, causing you to lose your balance and fall.
Use edge protectors if the load corners are sharp.
Position yourself to one side of the strap and keep all
bystanders away. Do not position yourself in line with the
strap during tensioning and sealing. Severe personal
injury from flying strap or tool can result.

1. Thread the strap through the seal and around the
bundle. Thread the strap through the seal again.
Bend the lower strap sharply to hook the lower lip of
the seal, then pull the slack out of the strap.
(See Figure 1)
2. Squeeze the handles together to lift the feed-wheel.
Insert the strap into the breaker nose slot and push
the tool up against the seal. (See Figure 2)
3. Stand to one side of the strap line. Tension the strap
by raising and lowering the tension handle.
(See Figure 3)
4. When desired tension is reached, push the drive
pawl forward and lower the tension handle until it
contacts the lift arm. (See Figure 4)
5. Use a single notch sealer to seal the joint.
(See Figure 5)
6. Break off excess strap at the seal. Raise the tool
perpendicular to the seal, then lower it. (See Figure 6)
WARNING: Inspect the tool daily and replace
worn or broken parts. Tool operation can be
affected and result in serious personal injury.
