The LED array n th s l ght source s not replaceable. When t reaches end of l fe the whole un t
must be replaced.
Type Y Attach ent: If the external flex ble cable or cord of th s lum na re or assoc ated
PSU/dr ver s damaged, t shall be exclus vely replaced by the manufacturer or h s serv ce agent
or a s m lar qual f ed person to avo d a hazard.
Location: Do not locate th s l ght source closer than 200mm from any flammable surface.
Clearance / Ventilation: It s mperat ve that a gap of 200mm s le around the un t. Th s s to
allow a r to c rculate and prevent overheat ng. The locat on must have free vent lat on and must
not have an amb ent temperature h gher than that spec f ed for the lum na re.
Mounting: Th s s a f xed lum na re. See mount ng feet nstruct on on Page 5 for f x ng to
surface.
Warning: Never look d rectly at the lum na re through the f bre port of the l ght source.
Warning: The lum na re should be pos t oned so that star ng nto the lum na re at a d stance
closer than 2.7 metres n not expected.

MOUNTING FEET
The l ght source s suppl ed w th non-sl p rubber feet pre-f tted the base of the un t. Also n the
box there are 2 x user f xable mount ng brackets wh ch allow for the l ght source to be
securely mounted to a wall or other surface f necessary.
To f t these feet, remove the 4 rubber feet from the base of the un t and reta n the screws.
The wall mount ng brackets are suppl ed as a pa r - one le and one r ght hand. Pos t on the
brackets over the holes that have been le empty by the rubber feet and f x n place w th the
removed screws.
The l ght source can now be f xed to the mount ng surface.

CONNECTION - FOR MANUAL OPERATION
There are 2 connect ons requ red – the f bre port and the ma ns supply cable. The f bre port
should be connected f rst. Connect and secure the f bre opt c connector nto the collar and
secure us ng the M5 lock ng screw.
Connect the PSU to the DC nput jack socket on the l ght source, and connect the IEC plug to the
PSU. Plug the ma ns plug nto the electr cal supply socket. Sw tch on power the led Ind cator
w ll llum nate and the l ght source s ready for use. If no l ght s produced consult the
TROUBLESHOOTING sect on of th s user gu de.
CONNECTION - FOR DMX OPERATION
There are 3 connect ons requ red – the f bre port, the ma ns supply cable and the DMX cables.
The f bre port should be connected f rst. Connect and secure the f bre opt c connector nto the
alum n um collar and secure us ng the M5 lock ng screw.
Connect the PSU to the DC nput jack socket on the l ght source, and connect the IEC plug to the
PSU. Plug the ma ns plug nto the electr cal supply socket. Sw tch on power. The led Ind cator
w ll llum nate and the l ght source s ready for use. If no l ght s produced consult the
TROUBLESHOOTING sect on of th s user gu de.
Connect to the 3 p n XLR sockets on the s de panel as deta led below us ng an approved DMX
cable.
Only approved DMX cables should be used.
Always “da sy cha n” a DMX un verse. Never use a T jo nt n a DMX un verse unless us ng an
approved nterface.
It s always recommended that the last llum nator output n the DMX un verse or cable run be
term nated w th a 120 ohm res stor across DMX+ and DMX-.

CONNECTION - FOR 0-10V OPERATION

Connect the PSU/dr ver to the DC nput jack socket on the Lum na re. Plug the ma ns plug nto
the electr cal supply socket. Sw tch on power the led nd cator w ll llum nate and the l ght
source s ready for use. If no l ght s produced consult the TROUBLESHOOTING sect on.
Connect the 0-10V RJ45 as deta led below us ng CAT5 cable.
Note: for emergency l ght funct onal ty, the ma ns supply for the l ght source must be
ma nta ned so that fa lure of the ma ns supply to the 0-10V controller w ll result n the l ght
source l ght ng at max mum output.

POWER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS
The LED l ght source s powered from a 24V DC PSU/Constant Voltage SELV LED dr ver.
The dr ver caters for UK/European/other ma ns suppl es us ng the relevant power cord
suppl ed.

STANDARD WHITE LIGHT DIMMING
All S r us models n the range can be manually controlled as deta led n the follow ng sect ons.
Note: For all manual operat on modes, d p sw tch 10 must be set to on.
Dur ng normal manual wh te l ght operat on, the l ght source can be d mmed from 0 to 100%
us ng the manual d mm ng control on the s de panel.
EMERGENCY WHITE LIGHT DIMMING
Dur ng normal manual wh te l ght operat on the emergency l ght conf gured l ght source can be
d mmed from max mum l ght at 0%, to no l ght at 10% then aga n up to max mum l ght at 100%
us ng the manual d mm ng control on the s de panel.
DECORATIVE COLOUR OR TWINKLE WHEEL CONTROL - WITHOUT SENSOR
Dur ng normal manual decorat ve operat on the l ght source can be d mmed from 0 to 100%
us ng the manual d mm ng control and the motor can be controlled from stop to 5 speeds (see
table below) us ng the push button manual motor control on the s de panel.
Note: When manually select ng stop (sw tch pos t on 6) the decorat ve wheel w ll stop nstantly
on a random colour (colour wheel) or a random sect on of the tw nkle wheel

rang ng from very slow to fast us ng the push button manual motor control on the s de panel.
Note: For th s conf gurat on the tw nkle wheel s suppl ed w th a cut out segment. The wheel n
mot on w ll g ve an un nterrupted tw nkle by rotat ng backwards and forwards e ther s de of the
segment. When stop s selected the wheel w ll come to rest at the segment g v ng unobstructed
wh te l ght output.

DMX OPERATION
Each S r us occup es 3 DMX channels as deta led n the follow ng tables. When select ng DMX
addresses 3 channels must be ava lable on each l ght source. For example, when sett ng up
mult ple l ght sources, f the f rst S r us s addressed to 009, the next must be 012, the next must
be 015 and so on.
SETTING THE DMX ADDRESS
The DMX address of each l ght source s set manually us ng the DIP sw tch access ble on the s de
panel as shown below. Each sw tch number 1-9 nd cates a b nary number wh ch added
together make up the DMX address.

WHITE LIGHT DIMMING
For DMX d mm ng operat on d p sw tch 10 must be off and the XLR plug(s) must be plugged nto
the XLR sockets on the s de panel.
The l ght source can be d mmed on DMX channel 1 as shown n table A.
DECORATIVE COLOUR OR TWINKLE WHEEL CONTROL - NO SENSOR
Note: For th s conf gurat on of a tw nkle wheel w thout sensor, the wheel s sol d w thout a cut
out segment.
For DMX wheel control d p sw tch 10 must be off and the XLR plug(s) must be plugged nto the
XLR sockets on the s de panel.
The l ght source decorat ve wheel can be controlled on DMX channel 2 as shown n table A.
