INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchas ng th s UFO l ght source.
Please read these nstruct ons fully before connect ng your un t to the electr cal
supply, and keep them for future reference.
The UFO MIC100PD ut l ses a wh te l ght array w th tw nkle wheel and s su table for
use w th e ther glass or polymer f bre-opt c harnesses.
Th s M croLED s powered by a 100-240VAC PSU or LED Dr ver.
We do not recommend that the l ght source be le on for 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week as LED l fe w ll be mpa red. A sw tch off of 30m ns per day s recommended.
The UFO MIC100PD wh te l ght array s ava lable n three target colour temperatures:
UFO M c100PD-3: warm wh te (3000K)
UFO M c100PD-4: neutral wh te (4000K)
UFO M c100PD-6: cool wh te (6000K)
IMPORTANT
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE
INSTALLATION CODE BY A PERSON FAMILIAR WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND
OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT AND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED.

TYPE Y ATTACHMENT: If the external flex ble cable or cord of th s lum na re or assoc ated
PSU/dr ver s damaged. It shall be exclus vely replaced by the manufacturer or h s serv ce
agent or a s m lar qual f ed person to avo d a hazard.
LOCATION: Do not locate th s lum na re closer than 200mm from any flammable surface.
CLEARANCE/VENTILATION: It s mperat ve that a gap of 200mm s le around the un t. Th s s
to allow a r to c rculate and prevent overheat ng. The locat on must have free vent lat on and
must not have a amb ent temperature h gher than that spec f ed for the lum na re.
MOUNTING: Th s s a f xed lum na re. See separate mount ng plate nstruct ons for f x ng to
surface.
WARNING: Never look d rectly nto the Lum na re LED l ght source.
IMPORTANT: The lum na re should be pos t oned so that prolonged star ng nto the lum na re
at a d stance closer than 0.33 m s not expected.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
POWER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS
Th s lum na re s powered by a 12V Power Supply Un t or 12V Constant Voltage
Dr ver. Remove the PSU/dr ver from ts box. The dr ver caters for UK/European/other
ma ns suppl es us ng the relevant power cord suppl ed.
Connect the jack plug nto the socket n the back, and the l ght source s now ready
for connect on.

CONNECTION
There are 2 connect ons requ red - the f bre port and the ma ns supply. The f bre
port should be connected f rst. Connect and secure the f bre opt c connector nto
the front of the un t, and secure us ng the M5 lock ng screw.
Plug the ma ns plug nto the electr cal supply socket. Sw tch on the power, the LED
nd cator w ll llum nate, and the l ght source and the tw nkle wheel w ll start up
automat cally. If no l ght s produced consult the troubleshoot ng sect on.
NOTE: THESE LIGHT SOURCES ARE NOT MAINS DIMMABLE.
MOUNTING
If us ng the metal mount ng plate proceed as follows:
STEP 1
Remove the rubber feet from the bottom of the L ght Source
STEP 2
Push f t three of the expans on f tt ngs nto the holes vacated by the feet as shown –
DO NOT f t an expans on f tt ng nto the foot hole at the rear below the push buttons
STEP 3
Place the mount ng plate on the base as shown and push the rema n ng expans on
f tt ng through the plate nto the hole that does not have one f tted. F t all four
screws and t ghten. Do not over t ghten
The lum na re can now be f xed securely to the mount ng surface.

OPERATION
Th s s a standalone stat c tw nkle wh te l ght un t. Once setup accord ng to the
connect on nstruct ons the un t s ready for use.
The un t has two control push buttons on the rear. These buttons are push and
release momentary act on type.
Upper button: controls motor speed
Lower button: controls d mm ng
MAINTENANCE

Please note that a record of all maintenance MUST be ept in the table below,
indicating what maintenance was underta en and when. This must be DATED
for warranty purposes.
D sconnect un t from power supply and allow to cool before attempt ng any
clean ng of the un t.
A v sual check of the un t should be completed every 12 months. However clean ng
should take place as and when requ red.
The body of the un t can be cleaned w th a so, damp cloth - do not use any
abras ves on the un t.
