1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The video door phones Ref. 1761/18 and Ref. 1761/19 are dedicated to use in Ipercom video door
phone systems.
The main features are:
• colour 5’’ TFT-LCD screen (Wide Angle);
• backlit soft-touch buttons (*);
• possibility of activating video door phone functions via gesture commands on the IR detector (disabled
by default);
• possibility to see the caller’s image when receiving the call (early media) on the master video door phone
in case of several video door phones in the at;
• possibility of adjusting the audio/video (speaker volume, brightness, contrast and colour) via OSD menu;
• possibility of customising the ring tone with a choice of ve dierent types;
• possibility of adjusting the ring tone volume;
• possibility of receiving text messages from the gatekeeper lodge switchboard;
• call forwarding function to smartphones and tablets;
• call diversion function to a contact in the book;
• video door phone voicemail function (up to 32 video messages);
• users book for intercom calls;
• open door indication;
• “Screen cleaning” function;
• “MUTE” function;
(*) When a key is pressed an acoustic signal (beep) is provided. This signal is disabled when “MUTE”
function is activated.

The video door phone is provided with a built-in hearing aid device, which only works during
video calls. Furthermore, the video door phone is equipped with two raised notches, positioned on the
sides next to the buttons and to help vision-impaired users locate the position of the two
buttons by touch.

4. FUNCTIONS AND NOTIFICATIONS
The display of the video door phone is normally o and turns on automatically when a call is received. The
display can be switched on voluntarily by the user to access the Functions and notications page of the
video door phone. Press the key once or pass your hand once in front of the IR sensor when the video
door phone is in standby mode. The following screen allows activating the video door phone’s secondary
functions (as described in chapter “Button functions”) and displaying all icons related to notications on
the device.

Recording / Remote / Divert (mutually alternative).
/ : Icon indicating whether the MUTE function is disabled or enabled.

: Icon indicating that the automatic door opener function is enabled.
: Floor call in progress.
: Icon indicating that the pedestrian door opener key has been pressed.
: Icon indicating that the driveway gate door opener key has been pressed.
: Icon indicating that a panic alarm has been signalled.
: Door open detection.
: Presence of one or more missed calls.
: Presence of an unread text message.
: Presence of an unread video message in the voicemail.
: Indication of date and time.
The screen switches o automatically when the time-out time has elapsed (approx. 60 seconds).

5. FEATURES
Some of the following features can also be performed through gestures. For more information, refer to the
“Complete booklet for use of gesture commands” by scanning the QR-Code at the end of the section or
by downloading the manual from the website www.urmet.com to the relative product sheet.
5.1. RECEIVING AND ANSWERING A CALL FROM A CALLING
STATION
The video door phone will ring and the display will switch on when a call is received. The caller’s image
will appear on the video door phone display. If there are more than one video door phone in the apartment
when a call is received, only the Master video door phone will display the caller’s image. To view the caller’s
image, on a Slave video door phone, press key .
Press button to reject the incoming call.
Press the button to establish a conversation with the caller (the LED of the button will start ashing).
Press the button again to end the conversation and switch o the display.
5.1.1 RECEIVING AND ANSWERING A CALL WHILE “REMOTE”
MODE IS ON
If the “Remote” mode is on when receiving a call, the video door phone display does not show the caller’s
image but the following screen page:
Press key to display the caller’s image on the video door phone you want to use to answer.
Press key to reject the incoming call.

Press key to pick up the call (the key LED starts ashing).
Press the key again to end the call and the display turns o.
If the call forwarding function has been congured and activated with “Remote” status active,
the smartphones on which the CallMe App was installed will also ring in addition to video door
phones.
5.2. RECEIVING AND ANSWERING AN INTERCOM CALL
When the video door phone receives an intercom call, it rings and turns on the display, which is normally o.
The display does not show the caller’s image. You can see the caller’s image only after picking up the call
and only if the caller enables the video function from a video door phone with front-facing camera.
Press key to reject the incoming call.
Press key to establish a conversation with the caller and the LED of the button will start ashing.
The following screen page will be displayed:
Press the key again to end the call.

5.3. RECEIVING AND ANSWERING A SWITCHBOARD CALL
When the video door phone receives a switchboard call, it rings and turns on the display, which is normally
o. The video door phone displays the image of the switchboard operator (if the switchboard is equipped
with a camera).
Press key to reject the incoming call.
Press key to pick up the call (the key LED starts ashing).
Press the key again to end the call.
5.4. RECEIVING AND ANSWERING A CALL FROM SMARTPHONE
THROUGH THE CALL ME APP
ATTENTION! you can receive a call from a smartphone via the CallMe App if:
• an account appropriately registered and congured on the Urmet Cloud is installed on the smartphone
• the call forwarding function has been activated on the video door phone (See section “Remote mode
activation”).
When the video door phone receives a call from a smartphone through the CallMe App, it rings and turns on
the display, which is normally o. The following screen page will be displayed:
Press key to accept the call from your smartphone. By pressing the call key , instead, you reject the call.
ATTENTION! You can only receive audio calls from a smartphone via the CallMe App.

Press the key again to end the call and the display turns o.
Accept the call to start the communication with the smartphone.
Press key to end the call and the display turns o.
5.5. DOOR OPENING FUNCTIONS
The video door phone allows the opening of any pedestrian door or garage door associated with the calling
station. With the video door phone at rest(#)receiving a call(#)(received from the calling station), in voice
mode(#)or during an auto-on event(#)(with the calling station), it is possible to open:
• for pedestrian door by pressing the key , the pedestrian door opener icon appears on the display
in the top left corner.
• for driveway gate by pressing the key, the display shows the driveway gate opening icon.

5.6. SWITCHBOARD CALL OR INTERCOM CALL
The call to the switchboard or the intercom call can be made if such functions have been congured by the
installer.
SWITCHBOARD CALL
This function allows to establish a conversation with the gatekeeper lodge switchboard.
The call to the switchboard is forwarded only to the competent switchboards.
To make a call, proceed as follows: With the video door phone in “Standby” or “Functions and notications”
status, press the key .
This will allows accessing the video door phone book; the keys: , , and light up and
remain steady on. Press the key to start the call. The display shows the following screen:
If, in the event of an intercom call, the switchboard or the user picks the call up within the pick-up time,
communication is started straight away and the LED of key starts ashing on the video door phone.
If the switchboard or a user do not answer within the pick-up time, the call is ended and the video door
phone display shows the following screen page:
By pressing the following key it is possible to activate the respective function (for further details see
chapter Button function).
Press the key to terminate the call and the display switches o.

INTERCOM CALL
This function allows to make an intercom call to another indoor station.
It is possible to start an intercom call in 2 ways:
1. FROM INTERCOM KEY
In this mode it is possible to make an intercom call to one contact only (indoor station) assigned to the
intercom key (for all details about the assignment method, see the Parameter conguration booklet
chapter “Assigning call key”).
With the video door phone in “Standby” or “Functions and notications” status, press the key .
This will allows accessing the video door phone book; the keys: , , and light up and
remain steady on. Press the key to start the intercom call. The display shows the following screen:
When conversation with the indoor station has been established, the LED of key starts ashing.
If the switchboard or a user do not answer within the pick-up time, the call is ended and the video door
phone display shows the following screen page:
By pressing the following key it is possible to activate the respective function (for further details see
chapter Button functions).
Press the key again to terminate the call.
2. FROM VIDEO DOOR PHONE BOOK
In this mode it is possible to make an intercom call to one of the contacts (indoor stations) in the video door
phone book (the video door phone book contains the contacts uploaded by the installer during system
conguration; refer to the System technical manual for details on how to add a contact to the video door
phone book).

Press keys or to select the contact to be called in the book, then press the key to start the
call.

5.7. AUTO-ON FUNCTION
The auto-on function makes it possible to display on the video door phone the image taken from the call
stations in the system. When the video door phone is in STANDBY mode, press the key to access
the Functions and notications status, then press the key to display the image taken from the call
station (the rst displayed image is the one from the main call station with ID 0); press the key again
to switch to the next call stations.
By pressing the key it is possible to interrupt the auto-on function.
By pressing the key the pedestrian door of the displayed call station can be opened.
By pressing the key the driveway gate door of the displayed call station can be opened.
Press the key to enter into audio-video communication with the displayed call station; pressing the key
a second time disables the auto-on function.
It is not possible to enable the auto-on function on any RTSP cameras present in the system.
5.8. ADJUSTMENTS ON THE OSD MENU (ON SCREEN DISPLAY)
To access the OSD menu, press key during a video call or in auto-on mode. The following screen page
will be displayed:
Press the or keys to select the parameter to be adjusted:
- Speaker volume (conversation only)
- Brightness
After selecting the parameter, press the and keys to increase or decrease the adjustment value of
the selected parameter.

5.9. FLOOR CALL
If a oor call is received, the video door phone starts ringing with the ringtone chosen by the user.
The function is only available if a key has been connected to the “FC” terminals.
When a call is received, the oor call icon is shown in the upper left corner of the display:
5.10. DOOR OPEN INDICATION
The video door phone has the icon , in the lower left part of the display, which indicates whether the
door has remained open on one or more entries. The door open condition is signalled by the call stations
only if the duration of this event is at least 30 seconds.
The feature must be enabled by the installer when conguring the Ipercom system.
The feature is related to the SP terminal status of the calling stations and requires an open door sensor.
ATTENTION! The open door indication is displayed only on the video door phones through which the door
has been opened after the last call received.
In addition to the icon on the display, the LED of the key on the video door phone light up
red and ashes.
When the door or any doors left open are closed, the icon will no longer be visible on the display and the
LED of the key will stop ashing.
5.11. PANIC ALARM
The panic alarm signal is sent from the video door phone to the switchboard in the system and to all
smartphones in which the call forwarding function has been activated via the CallMe app.
SEND TO SWITCHBOARD
ATTENTION! The panic alarm function assumes that:
• the system has a switchboard;
• the system has been congured appropriately (see the System technical manual);
• there is an operator on duty at the switchboard;
• the switchboard operator has been duly instructed on what to do if a panic alarm is received.
When the key is pressed, the video door phone sends a panic alarm signal.
When the panic alarm is sent, the following icon is displayed on the Homepage.
When the switchboard operator receives a Panic alarm signal, he/she can listen to what is happening in the
at, near the video door phone. Listening can only be interrupted by the switchboard operator and has no
time limits. Enabling listening in the at must be carried out by the installer during conguration (for more
information see the System technical manual).
SEND TO CALLME APP
If a call forwarding function has been congured in the video door phone, the “Panic Alarm” signal is also

sent to all Smartphones on which the CallMe app is installed (for full details on how to congure the call
forwarding function, see the Parameter conguration booklet in chapter “Call Forwarding Function”).
As with the switchboard, also via the CallMe app it is possible to listen to what is happening in the at, near
the video door phone.
The panic alarm signal can be switched o from the video door phone. When the device is in STANDBY
mode, press the key twice to access the Homepage.
The following icon is displayed on the Homepage . Press the key to disable the panic alarm
signal.
After pressing the key , the icon it will no longer be visible on the Homepage, and it will no longer
bethe panic alarm icon is not present either .
5.12. MUTE FUNCTION
This function can be used to mute the ring tone on the video door phone and any connected supplementary
ringers.
The MUTE function does not exclude the ringing of the oor call.
By pressing the key it is possible to activate the MUTE function (without time limits); the video door
phone will be muted until the same key is pressed again.
After any power failure the function will keep the state it had before the event.
The display shows the following screen with the active MUTE function icon:

The video door phone has 2 further MUTE function modes:
• MUTE 8h: The video door phone is muted for a maximum time of 8 hours.
• MUTE Timer: The video door phone is muted for a time set by a schedule.
To activate these two modes, please refer to chapter “MUTE function conguration”.
5.13. OPERATION WITH HEARING AIDS
The video door phone is equipped with a device to allows people with hearing impairments, equipped with
a special headset, to hear who is speaking from the call station or other video door phones in case of calls
from the switchboard.
The device is able to interface hearing aids with “T” function at a distance of around 20 cm.

6. HOMEPAGE
To access the video door phone Homepage, press the key when the video door phone is in “Standby”
mode; the display shows the following screen:
Then press the key again to access the Homepage.

On the Homepage, press , , and keys to select a function or parameter of the video door
phone that you wish to set. When selection has been made press the key to conrm the selection.
The congurations on the device are explained in detail below.
6.1 VIDEO DOOR PHONE STATUS (MASTER VIDEO DOOR
PHONE ONLY)
The video door phone has 4 operating modes:
• At Home: normal operating mode of the video door phone (default mode).
• Voicemail: operating mode that allows automatic recording of a video clip following a call from the
outdoor station.
• Remote: operating mode that allows audio-video or audio-only call forwarding to a smartphone.
• Diversion: operating mode that allows the call to be diverted to a contact in the book.
6.1.1 VIDEO DOOR PHONE VOICEMAIL ACTIVATION
The “Voicemail” mode allows automatic recording of a video clip following a call. The duration of the video
clip is 10 seconds.
On the homepage, select the icon and press the key to enable the “Voicemail” mode.
The following icon is displayed to conrm the status change of the video door phone.
To disable the video door phone voicemail, select the icon and press the key no a visualizzare
until the icon is displayed again.
