Yale®inTouch™ Stand-alone Touchpad Access Lock combines robust
cylindrical locksets with a contemporary electronic aesthetic.
Users benefit from an interactive touchpad that makes day-to-day access
effortless and offers voice-guided programming for simple updates to
user information.

inTouch is recommended for
management offices, patient records storage, storerooms, staff lounges,
restroom doors, etc. Anywhere that requires simple controlled access

inTouch is engineered for quick & easy installation and fits into a standard
161 door cutout with only one additional 1/2" hole and 5 screws.

• Keypad Shutdown - Deters tampering by disabling the keypad after five successive failed attempts without a valid
code. Default is 180 seconds but duration programmable in Advanced programming mode.
• Weather resistant - meets ANSI/BHMA A156.XX . Operational in temperatures ranging from -40° C to +66° C
and 95% relative humidity.

Lock Out Mode - When illuminated, all users or
groups of users will not have access. Available in
Advanced programming mode.
Key Override - Accepts all Yale®
fixed core component cylinders
(with modified tailpieces). Also
available to accept small format
interchangeable core (SFIC).
Allows integration with existing
key systems.
Capacitive Touchpad – Stand-alone touchpad
responds and awakens to human touch, launching
access-control mode. After lock functions and access
has been granted, the lock reverts to sleep mode,
saving battery power.

security cylinders
Security cylinders contain two independent locking
mechanisms. The first is a traditional 6-pin tumbler
mechanism with spool drivers for greatly increased
picking resistance.
The second is an innovative 5-tumbler rotating disc
mechanism with sidebar engagement. The rotating
discs are spring loaded and block the bottom of the
keyway.

Yale®inTouch™ Locksets are available with a variety of strike options. All strikes are located on the same vertical
and horizontal center lines as the latchbolt. Some strikes are available in a variety of lip lengths to accommodate
varying thickness of doors and frames. To determine the proper length of the lip, measure from the center line of the
strike to the edge of the jamb and add 1/4" (6mm). All strikes are reversible.

voice guided programming with a simple touch
inTouch™ is available with Easy (EZ) or Advanced (AD) Programming modes. Voice-guided prompts make updates,
using the interactive touchpad, simple and effortless.
EZ mode
Provides simple, easy-to-use system for average home
use or for light commercial traffic control.
PIN codes: 1 Supervisor and 8 regular users (Total = 9).
• Easy to use ”I” button for interior supervisor setting
and user codes to register and delete.
• When pin codes are re-registered, the old PINs are
deleted.
• User code registration: Supervisor code used to
register and change user pin codes.
• Passage mode, Silent mode, and Language settings.
AD mode
Provides simple, easy-to-use system for average home
use or for light commercial traffic control. Provides a
detailed pin code management system for commercial
use.

STAND-ALONE TOUCHPAD OPERATED LOCKSETS
Stand-alone touchpad operated locksets to consist of a Certified ANSI/BHMA A156.2, Series 4000, Grade 2
locking mechanism complete with a voice-interactive, capacitive touchpad included in the operating trim.
Integrated locking units shall offer a dual user mode feature and allow for programming directly through the
touchpad interface. Lever designs shall meet ANSI A117.1 Accessibility Guidelines with locking function(s) to be as
specified in the hardware sets. Inside lever always free for open egress. Unless otherwise indicated, stand-alone
touchpad locksets to match standard mechanical locksets for backset and strike.
Stand-alone touchpad operated locksets shall meet the following requirements:
• Tri-lingual (English, Spanish or French) user-selected voice interaction with Silent Mode option.
• Illuminated Touchpad that awakens with human touch and returns to sleep mode after granting access.
• Auto-relock (default) mode, passage mode or lock-out mode (no touchpad access, with key-override functions
only) programmable through touchpad interface.
• 4 through 12-digit PIN selection. Dual User Mode features “EZ” (9-user) or “Advanced” 4-tier (up to 1000 users)
options.
• Battery-operated (up to 20,000 cycles), with low power indicator, or hard-wired (9-Volt external power supply)
option.
• Free-wheeling lever mechanism (outside lever swings freely up and down while remaining securely locked)
provided as standard.
• Field reversible and adjustable for doors 1 3/8" (35mm) to 1 3/4" (44mm) thick.
• UL Listed for use on fire doors up to 3-hour rating.
• Capable of accepting Yale® 6-pin standard, small format interchangeable core, high-security and patented
