Please first check the contents of the product package. If any item listed below is missing,

1-2 Safety Information
Please adhere to the following safety instructions while you’re using this IP Phone.
Failure to do so could result in damage to this phone or injuries to you.
1. Do not store or use this phone in high-humidity or hot environment, like a bathroom
or kitchen. Please refer to the specifications for this phone to understand its
environmental operating limitations.
2. This phone is designed for indoor use; do not use this phone outdoors in places like
gardens or yards.
3. If you want to install this phone somewhere high, please make sure that the phone is
properly secured.A fall, even from a moderate height, will damage this phone.
4. Do not pull forcefully on any cable connected to the phone, if you do so the phone
and cord may be damaged.
5. Only use a damp cloth to clean this phone; do not use alcohol or a chemical solution
to clean this phone.
6. There are no user-serviceable parts inside this phone; if the phone is not working
properly, please contact your dealer for help.
7. Do not set the volume control of the handset to too high a setting; high volume can
damage your ears if you use this phone for long periods of time.
8. Do not put the phone or theA/C adapter on top of paper, cloth, or any other
flammable materials.
9. If you smell something strange or see smoke coming out of the phone orA/C adapter,
disconnect the power cord immediately and call your dealer for help.

1-3 Features of This IP Phone
The DPH-130S IP Phone takes full advantage of the power of your data network; it uses
the TCP/IP network communication protocol, which is the most commonly-used network
protocol in the world at present. With an easy-to-use user interface, you do not need help
from a network technician, or additional network devices to install your new DPH-130S IP
Phone. Just connect it to your existing data network, and with some simple configuration
steps you can start taking advantage of the communication convenience provided by
DPH-130S!
The DPH-130S includes the following features:
zSupport for various network configuration methods (Static IP, DHCP, and PPPoE).
zBuilt-in phone address book with space for up to 100 entries.
zBuilt-in call record with space for up to 30 entries (10 entries each for missed calls,
dialed calls, and accepted calls).
zBuilt-in calendar and clock.
zSpeed-dial keys for frequently used numbers.
z‘Do not disturb’ (DND) function.
zMessage indicator LED for incoming calls.
zSpeaker phone for hands-free operation.
zCall transfer.
z3-way conference calling.
z2 line LCD with a maximum of 16 characters per line
zCaller ID support.

1-5 Basic Setup
Please use the following instructions to setup your new DPH-130S IP
Phone:
1. Unpack the box and determine whether anything is missing.
2. Insert the Ethernet cable into the network port labeled “LAN” on the phone, as shown
below.
3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable used in step 2 to your local area network
(LAN). Please make sure you can access the Internet from your LAN. If you are
using this phone in a company, please ask the network administrator for detailed
information; If you are using this phone in your home, you should connect the
Ethernet cable to your ADSL or Cable modem directly or to a router connected to an
ADSL or Cable modem.

4. Please insert the phone stand into the back of the phone, as shown in the picture
below. (If you plan to hang the phone on a wall, please skip this step, and mount it on
the wall using the wall mount hole on the back of the phone).
5. Please insert the power jack of theA/C adapter into the phone, as shown in the
picture below.

6. Please connect one end of the handset cord to the handset, as shown below.
7. Please connect the other end of the handset cord to the phone, as shown below.

8. Please insert theA/C power adapter into a power outlet and make sure the output
voltage of power outlet matches the A/C adapter specification (AC 100V to 240V,
50/60Hz).
9. Now check the LCD display on the phone. You should see a date, time and a
message displayed on it as shown in the image below. If you do not see a display
similar to the one below on the LCD, please restart from step 2 and make sure each
step is completed properly. If you still do not see anything on the LCD display after
repeating the basic setup steps, please contact your dealer for help.

2-1 Network Setup (On LCD Screen)
Before you can use DPH-130S IP phone, it must be connected to your network using a
valid IP address. In this section you’ll learn how to configure an IP address for this phone
using various supported methods.
The DPH-130S supports three methods to obtain or assign an IP address:
Static IP (IP address is manually entered by user)
PPPoE (IP address will be obtained automatically, for someADSL users)
DHCP (IP address will be obtained automatically, for some LAN users)
Please determine which method your network (or ISP) uses to assign IP addresses
before you continue. If you are not sure which method you should use, please ask your
network administrator, your ISP, or your telephone service provider. Then use the
following procedures to configure an IP address for the DPH-130S:
1. Press the [MENU] key once.
2. Press the [ >> ] key repeatedly, until “ >
Setting “ is displayed on the LCD, then press
the [Select] key.

3. Press the [ >> ] key repeatedly, until “ >Net
Setting “ is displayed on the LCD, then press
the [Select] key.
4. There are 4 options here, they are:
IP Address (Static IP),
PPPoE, DHCP, and
MAC (MAC address lookup). Press the [ << ]
key or the [ >> ] until the proper IP address
setup method is displayed, then press the
[Select] key.
Static IP Setup:
1. Press the [Select] key when
” >IP Address ” is displayed on the LCD,
then press the [Select] key (If not, press [ << ]
or [ >> ] until it is displayed).
2. Please check the message displayed on the
LCD now:
In Case A, it means that DHCP is enabled;
Please use the following procedure to disable
DHCP; first:
Press the [Menu] key once to return to the
previous menu then press the [ >> ] key until
” >DHCP Set ” is displayed, then press the
NAT Setting

[Select] key; Next, press the [ << ] or [ >> ] key until
“DHCP: Off “ is displayed, then press the [Select]
key and continue on to Step 3 (below).
In Case B, you will see a flashing cursor on the
LCD display, which means that the phone is
already in static IP mode. Please proceed with
entering an IP address.
Please enter the IP address using the numeric
keypad now. You can press [Clear] to move the
cursor left and erase a character or
press [Menu] to abort completely and return to the
menu.
To input a number, please use the numeric
keypad (for a dot, press the * key).
When IP address entry is complete, press [Select]
to save your changes and continue on to Step 3.
3. Please input the subnet mask IP address and
press [Select] to save your changes and
proceed to the next step.
OR

Note: If you enter an invalid IP address, you will not be able to
save the changes you made. Please try again.

4. Please input the gateway IP address and
press [Select] to save your changes and
proceed to next step.
5. Please input the DNS (Domain Name Server)
IP address and press [Select] to you’re your
changes and proceed to next step.
6. You’ll see the message as shown at left on
the LCD display, please wait patiently. The
phone will be ready again after about 45
seconds.
PPPoE Setup:
Please use the following procedures to configure an IP address using PPPoE:
1. Press the [ << ] or [ >> ] key until ” >PPPoE ”
is displayed on the LCD then press the
[Select] key.
2. Press the [ >> ] key until “ PPPoE: On “ is
displayed then press the [Select] key.

3. Please input the PPPoE username
assigned by your internet service provider
here. You can use the numeric keypad to
enter numbers, letters, and symbols. To
erase a character, press [Clear]. After the
username is entered, press the [Select] key,
or press [Menu] to abort.
4. Please enter the PPPoE password now and
press the [Select] key.

Note: How do I input symbols, numbers, and letters of the alphabet?
Every number key in the numeric keypad represents a set of symbols, a
number, and/or letters of the alphabet. You can press a key repeatedly to
select the next character for that key. For example, you can press the “2”
key three times in succession to get a “B”, or press the “5” key five times to
get a “j”. If you pause between keystrokes, the cursor will move right one
character space to allow you to input a new character.
The character set for all twelve keys is as follows:

5. Please enter the name of your internet
service provider (ISP) here. This step is
optional so you may press the [Select] key
without entering anything.
6. Please press the [ << ] or [ >> ] key to select
an authentication method.Available options
are PAP and CHAP. Press the [Select] key
when the correct method is selected.
7. You’ll see the message as shown at left on
the LCD display, please wait patiently. The
phone will be ready again after about 45
seconds.
DHCP Setup:
Please use the following procedures to configure an IP address using DHCP:
1. Press the [ << ] or [ >> ] key until ” >DHCP
Set” is displayed on the LCD then press the
[Select] key.
Note: Password characters will be show on the LCD as you enter the new
password. Take care to keep your password secret.

2. Press the [ >> ] key until “ DHCP: On “ is
displayed then press the [Select] key. If you
do not want to use DHCP, please press the
[ >> ] key until “ DHCP: Off “ is displayed
then press the [Select] key.
3. You’ll see the message as shown at left on
the LCD display, please wait patiently. The
phone will be ready again after about 45
seconds.
MAC Address Lookup
1. If you want to check the MAC address of the
DPH-130S, press the [ << ] or [ >> ] key
until ”>MAC ” is displayed on the LCD then press
the [Select] key.
2. The MAC address of the DPH-130S will be
displayed on the LCD display.

2-2 Network Setup (Web Interface)
You can also use a web browser on a computer to set the network parameters of the
DPH-130S. Please use the following instructions to set network parameters using a web
browser:
Use a web browser (like
Internet Explorer) to
connect to the IP address
of your IP Phone. You
should be able to see a
login welcome screen (at
left). Please type the
username and password in
the corresponding fields,
then click the Login button.
Default username: admin
Default password: admin
4. Click the “LAN” link, then
click the IP setup method
you want to use:
IP Setting: Click this if you
want to use static IP.
PPPoE: Click this if you
want to use PPPoE.
DHCP: Click this if you
want to use DHCP.
DNS: Click this to setup the
IP address of a DNS
server.
