clear and simple instructions to the hand-
ling of the thermometer.
Information that are useful and important
for understanding the function, are
highlighted in the instructions text.

termometer, follow the safety notes

Safety notes
Caution when measuring high tempera-
tures! Do not touch the temperature
sensor with bare hands immediately
after measuring! Risk of burn injury! As a
basic principle, do not put the
thermometer in the hot zone during
measuring. Risk of explosion of the
lithium battery!
Do not use the thermometer in explosion
endangered areas!

5 Calibration services
In order to guarantee a high measuring
precision, the thermometer must be cali-
brated every year. Therefore ebro
Electronic GmbH & Co. KG offers a
calibration service.
• Fill in the enclosed service card.
• After one year we will recall your ther-
mometer for calibration.
• The calibrated thermometer will be
returned within one week.
5 Service de calibrage
Pour garantir une bonne précision de la
mesure, le thermomètre doit être calibré
chaque année. Pour cela, ebro
Electronic GmbH & Co. KG vous pro-
pose un service de calibrage.
• Remplissez la carte-service jointe.
• Au bout d’une année, nous rappe-
lons votre thermomètre pour procé-
der à son calibrage.
• Nous vous retournons le thermomètre
calibré sous huit jours.

5 Kalibrierservice
Um eine hohe Messgenauigkeit zu ga-
rantieren, muss das Thermometer jähr-
lich kalibriert werden. Dazu bietet die
ebro Electronic GmbH & Co. KG einen
Kalibrierservice an.
• Füllen Sie die beiliegende Service-
karte aus.
• Nach einem Jahr rufen wir Ihr Ther-
mometer zur Kalibrierung ab.
• Innerhalb einer Woche erhalten Sie
das Thermometer kalibriert zurück.

1 Beschreibung
Das Klappthermometer ist ein handli-
ches, mit einer Lithiumbatterie betriebe-
nes Messgerät zur Messung der
Temperatur von Luft, Flüssigkeiten und
plastischen Massen (Fleisch, Obst, etc.).
Die Elektronik wird durch einen Mikro-
prozessor gesteuert. Dies garantiert eine
hohe Messgenauigkeit und Linearität
über den gesamten Messbereich.
Das Thermometer ist mit einer schwenk-
baren Fühlernadel aus Edelstahl ausge-
stattet.

1 Description
The general purpose thermometer is a
handy measuring instrument operated
with a lithium battery, used to measure
the temperature of air, liquids and plastic
material (meat, fruit, etc.)
The electronics are controlled by a micro-
processor. This ensures a high measuring
precision and linearity over the complete
measuring range.
The thermometer is equipped with a
stainless steel tilting sensor needle.

1 Description
Le thermomètre articulé est un instru-
ment de mesure pratique alimenté par
une pile au lithium, destiné à mesurer la
température de l’air, de liquides et de
matières souples (viande, fruits, etc.).
La partie électronique est commandée
par un microprocesseur qui garantit des
valeurs exactes et linéaires sur toute la
plage de mesures.
Le thermomètre est équipé d’une sonde
aiguille articulée en acier inoxydable.

3 Bedienung
3.1 Thermometer einschalten
Schalten Sie das Thermometer ein. Drük-
ken Sie dazu die Taste »ON/OFF« min-
destens eine Sekunde lang.
Das Gerät führt einen Systemtest durch,
wobei alle Segmente in der Anzeige
sichtbar sind.
Danach wird der Messkanal getestet. Im
Display wird » 38.8 « angezeigt.
Anschließend erscheint der erste Mess-
wert in °C.
Wird im Display eine Fehlermeldung
angezeigt, beachten Sie Kapitel 4 „Was
tun, wenn?“, Seite 10.
3.2 Temperaturmessung
Das Thermometer schaltet sich nach
zwei Betriebsstunden automatisch
aus, um die eingebaute Batterie zu
schonen.
Schwenken Sie die Fühlernadel heraus,
und positionieren Sie sie an der ge-
wünschten Stelle.

3 Operation
3.1 Switching on
the thermometer
To switch the thermometer on, press the
”ON/OFF” button for at least one se-
cond.
The device will perform a system test
during which all segments are visible in
the display.
After this the measuring channel is tested.
The display shows ”38.8”.
Afterwards the first measured value will
appear in °C.
If an error message is displayed,
refer to chapter 4 ”Troubleshooting“
on page 10.
3.2 Temperature measuring
For conserving battery power, the
thermometer will switch off automa-
tically after 2 hours of operation.
Tilt the sensor needle out and place it at
the desired position.

3 Utilisation
3.1 Mise en marche du
thermomètre
Mettez le thermomètre en marche en
appuyant sur «ON/OFF» pendant au
moins une seconde.
L’instrument effectue un test système
pendant lequel tous les éléments de
l’écran d’affichage sont visibles.
Puis un test du canal de mesure durant
lequel s’affiche la valeur «38.8»
Enfin s’affiche la première valeur
mesurée en °C.
Si un message d’erreur s’affiche,
veuillez vous reporter au chapitre 4,
«En cas de problèmes», page 10.
3.2 Mesure de la température
Le thermomètre s’éteint automati-
quement après deux heures d’utili-
sation pour préserver la pile.
Ouvrez la sonde articulée et placez-la à
l’endroit voulu.
