the PED is ifferent from that which was teste by the laboratory – even if the PED conforms to the basic pro uct escription containe in the letter —
the PED mo el shoul not be consi ere approve , nor promote as approve . For example, if a PED contains firmware, software, or physical
construction that has the same name or mo el number as those teste by the laboratory, but in fact are not i entical to those PED samples teste by
the laboratory, then the PED shoul not be consi ere or promote as approve .
No ven or or other thir party may refer to a PED as “PCI Approve ,” nor otherwise state or imply that PCI SSC has, in whole or part, approve any
aspect of a ven or or its PEDs, except to the extent an subject to the terms an restrictions expressly set forth in a written agreement with PCI SSC, or
in an approval letter. All other references to PCI SSC’s approval are strictly an actively prohibite by PCI SSC. When grante , an approval is provi e by
PCI SSC to ensure certain security an operational characteristics important to the achievement of PCI SSC’s goals, but the approval oes not un er

Monthly Updates
Once a month, your terminal will connect to the Elo Terminal Management System to ownloa new software an important configuration changes. This
up ate will typically occur overnight. For this reason, it is suggeste that your terminal be powere on at all times. For mobile POS terminals, it is
recommen e for the evice to be left on the charging stan or connecte to the power supply when not in use. In the event that the terminal is powere
off when the up ate takes place, or having a low battery in the case of portable mo els, the system will notify you that the up ate has faile . Please leave
your terminal on the following night to ensure the upgra e is complete or call your help esk for assistance.
