Overview
The Aero Wave Station provides battery-free, wireless control of lighting,
combined with simple installation and long-term maintenance-free reliability.
Wave Stations require no wiring connections and use no batteries. The kinetic
energy of depressing either the ON or OFF side of the switch generates
enough power to transmit the switch event.
Two models are available including a single rocker switch and dual rocker
switch. Either station can be assigned to a controller exactly the same way. For
the dual switch models, each switch is separate from the other and can be
assigned to the same controller or independent controllers.
Preparation
The Aero Wave Station can be mounted to any surface such as a wall, cubicle,
or desk using the provided peel-and-stick adhesive strip, flush mounted in a
standard electrical back box or screwed to a surface.
The Wave Station should be installed in the room where the Aero controllers
are controlling the light fixtures or circuits. Consideration should be made for
locating the controllers, switches, and sensors based on the construction

materials in the space and furniture that may disrupt the transmissions.
Installation should follow local codes and standard practices.
It is recommended that stations and sensors be placed with in 50 feet (15m) of
the controller for optimal performance.
Installing the Aero Wave Station
The Wave Station can be surface mounted double-sided tape or Velcro®,
screws, or it can be flush mounted in a standard back box. Mounting hardware
or tape is supplied. The “On” side of the station (indicated with an imprinted “I”)
should be mounted at the top.
Surface Mount Using Adhesive Peel-and-Stick or Velcro
Use the provided double-sided tape or Velcro (not included) to attach the
station to the surface.
Step 1: Attach a 1.5 inch (4 cm) strip of tape or Velcro to the back of the station,
ensuring it does not extend beyond the edge.
Step 2: Do one of the following:
• If using double-sided tape, remove the protective film to reveal the
sticky surface.
• If using Velcro, attach the opposite Velcro material to its mating
strips and then remove the protective film to reveal the adhesive.
Step 3: Align the station to the surface with the “On” side of the station directed
to the top, then press the station into place.

Surface Mount Using Screws
Use the appropriate screws and anchors (not provided) for surface or back box
mounting.
Step 1: Remove the front cover from the station by gently prying the two pieces
apart from either the top or bottom. For dual switch versions, you will
need to remove both the left and the right side switch covers as well
as the divider.
Step 6: Attach the faceplate to the installed back plate.
• For the single switch station, align the faceplate to the back plate
(be sure the “On” side is directed up), then snap the two pieces
together at the center pivot point.
• For the dual switch station, align the left side switch cover to the
station (be sure the “On” side is directed up), then snap it into place
at the center pivot point. Insert the divider piece into the provided
slot with the curve in the top position (see image above). Attach the
right side switch cover to the station (be sure the “On” side is
directed up), then snap it into place at the center pivot point.
Flush Mount in a Back Box
Install the Wave Station to a flush mounted installed single gang back box.
Step 1: Remove the front cover from the station by gently prying the two pieces
apart from either the top or bottom. For dual switch versions, you will
pre-drill in these

Step 2: Pre-drill two holes in the back
plate using the provided hole
marks.
Step 3: Drill the required mounting
holes.
Step 4: Install anchors (if required).
Step 5: Attach the back plate to the
wall using screws (hardware
provided by others).

need to remove both the left and the right side switch covers as well
as the divider.
• For the dual switch station, align the left side switch cover to the
station (be sure the “On” side is directed up), then snap it into place
at the center pivot point. Insert the divider piece into the provided
slot with the curve in the top position (see image to the left). Attach
the right side switch cover to the station (be sure the “On” side is
directed up), then snap it into place at the center pivot point.
Linking to a Controller
After the Aero Wave Station has been installed, it must be linked to the correct
controller. Reference the Unison Aero 902 MHz User Programming Guide.

Note:
If line voltage wiring is installed in the back box, proper
voltage barrier is required between the wiring and the back
box.

Step 2: Gently pull the loose end of the orange
antenna from the back plate just until it
reveals direct access to the top and
bottom of the back plate for pre-drilling of
the mounting holes.
Step 3: Notice the pinpoint dimples at the center
top and center bottom of the back plate.
Pre-drill each dimple to accept mounting
hardware (not provided) for attachment
to a back box.
Step 4: Insert the backplate to the
installed back box and secure
with two screws (hardware
provided by others).
Step 5: Attach the faceplate to the
installed back plate.
• For the single switch station,
align the faceplate to the
back plate (be sure the “On”
side is directed up), then
snap the two pieces together
at the center pivot point.
