Getting started
Thank you for purchasing this John Lewis & Partners product. For your safety, and to
make sure everything is working properly, please read the instructions carefully
before use.
Warnings
To prevent electric shock, switch off at the mains supply before installing or
maintaining this fitting. Ensure another person cannot restore the electricity supply
without your knowledge.
If you are in any doubt, please consult a qualified electrician.
Always use the recommended bulb type and rated power. Never exceed the rated
power stated.
The flexible cable on this luminaire, if damaged, shall only be replaced by the
manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person.
It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that the fixings and plugs used are
suitable for the surface you are fixing your product on.
Caution! The bulb and surrounding parts can become hot during use.
Do not cover. Keep away from curtains, bedding etc.
Always route mains cable so it does not present a hazard (entrapment, tripping
etc.); Ensure that there are no twists or snags in the cable.
Plug into the mains supply; switch on using the inline cord switch provided.
When moving this lamp, always carry by holding the stand part (and not the glass).

Product assembly
Step 1
Unpack the product and remove all packaging.
Be careful not to scratch the surface of the product whilst removing the
wrapping.
Step 2
Remove the metal spacer (B) and shade ring (C) already attached to the
lamp holder section.
Step 3
Place the small hole in the base of the shade glass (A) over the lamp
holder section.
Step 4
Place the metal spacer (B) over the lamp holder and inside the shade
glass (lipped end first)
Step 5
Refit the shade ring (C) by placing inside the provided plastic shade ring
tool (D) to secure the spacer and shade glass in position. Take care not
to overtighten as this may cause damage to the fitting.
Ensure components are straight and aligned.
Your table lamp is now ready to be plugged into the wall socket and is
ready to use.

Aftercare and
troubleshooting
You’ve switched on the light, but it’s not working:
1. Check your power supply is switched on
2. Turn off the light and check that the bulb is inserted correctly
3. Check the bulb is still in working order
