2. Installing the suction device
Turn OFF the power supply and air supply for the sewing machine.

1) Combine screw asm. ❷as shown in
the gure on the left, and secure cast-
ers $6$ to tray ❶.

2) Combine screw asm. ❹ as shown in 1),

2-2. Installing the lter box
3) Attach the cover to the box and secure with draw
latches (2 pieces).
1) Release draw latches (2 pieces) on the side face
of lter box ❼to remove the cover.
2) Attach screw asm. ❽ to the ceiling of lter box ❼.
Put the T-screw of screw asm. ❽in the alumi-
num frame. Adjust the lateral position of the lter
box (30 ± 10 mm). Then, tighten the nut of screw
asm. ❽.

rection as shown in the gure on the

4) Put one end of pipe ❾(0.4 m) over the cylindri-
cal part of suction cover 󱢴and the other end
over the upper cylindrical part of lter box ❼until
they will go further and secure both ends of the
pipe with pipe bands 󱢳.

5) Put one end of pipe ❾(2.1 m) over the cylin-
drical part of blower ❸and the other end over
lower cylindrical part of lter box ❼until they will
go no further and secure both ends of the pipe
with pipe bands 󱢳.

6) Remove setscrews (12 pieces). Replace the at
metal plate with the mesh plate.

There are nuts on the reverse side of
the table. Take care not to allow the
nuts to come o󰀨 when you loosen the
screws.

7) Replace the setscrews of the mesh plate with
screws 󱢵. Secure suction cover 󱢴with screws
󱢵and the nuts.

2-3. Installing the solenoid valve
󱢷󱢷
1) Remove one metal plate from the manifold. Se-
cure solenoid valve 󱢷. (Provided with a rubber
sheet)
There is a rubber sheet between the
metal plate and the manifold.
2) Route the cable of solenoid valve 󱢷up to the
electrical control box shelf as shown in the gure.
3) Pass the cable of solenoid valve 󱢷through the
duct and insert its wires into connectors No. 1
(red) and No. 3 (black) as shown in the gure.

4) Insert air tubes 󱢸into solenoid valve
󱢷.
5) Route air tubes 󱢸as shown in the
gure.
6) Connect air tubes 󱢸to the cylinders of
lter box ❼.

2-4. Installing the power switch
1) Route the power switch and cable of blower ❸
from under the table stand.

2) Loosen the screws and the nuts attached to the
power switch. Put the nuts in the corresponding
holes in the aluminum frames and secure the
power switch to the aluminum frames of the table
stand with the screws and nuts.

3) Loosen the setscrews of the cover of the power
switch of the sewing machine and the lid of the
cable gland. Open the switch cover to pull out
the switch.
Make a hole in the bottom of the power switch
box.

4) Put the cable gland located at the cable of the
blower power supply into the hole in the power
supply box.

5) Put the cable gland lid on the cable. Pass the
cable through the cable gland.
Insert the lid slightly into the gland.

6) Insert the power cables into the switch terminal
block and secure them with the screws.
Inset the blue cable into terminal No. 2. Insert
the brown cable into terminal No. 4.
7) Pull out the left and lower remaining cables from
the power supply box. Put the switch in the pow-
er supply box and tighten the setscrews.
8) Place the excess cables inside the table stand
and secure the table stand front cover.

2-5. Installing the pedal
1) Remove the side cover (right) and route the ca-
ble of pedal $16$ up to the electrical control box
shelf as shown in the gure.
2) Pass the cable of pedal $16$ through the duct
and insert its wires into connectors No. 8 (red)
and No. 10 (white).
3) Secure the side cover (right).

3) Press the OFF button to stop the blower.
3. Checking the function of the suction device
1) The blower operates when the power supply for
the blower is turned ON.
2) Place a sheet of paper (or cloth) on the mesh plate. Depress the pedal switch to suck up the paper (or
the cloth). Then, depress the pedal switch again to disable the suction power. In this way, conrm that the
suction capability of the suction device works properly.

4. Troubleshooting
1) When the suction device is in operation, it fails to provide the suction power even if you depress the ped-
al.
① Check to make sure that the pedal switch cables, solenoid valve cables and air tubes are properly
connected.
2) The suction device is able to suck up, but the suction power is inadequate.
① Check for air leakage from the pipe connecting portion of the blower, suction cover and lter box. If
air leaks, secure the pipe clamp rmly.

② The lter box cover is poorly installed to cause air
leakage.
Unlock the draw latches. Then, re-lock them
properly.
③ The side plate for nely adjusting the air that
ows to the side face fails to hide all holes in the
box. Re-adjust the side plate.
