BEDIENUNG
Einbau
Mechanisch
52120:
Der Fahrregler 52120 kann im
Haus oder im Garten aufgestellt
werden.
52121:
Der Einbau-Fahrregler 52121 ist
zum Einbau in Stellpulte u. ä. vor-
gesehen. So bauen Sie den Fahr-
regler ein:
1. Bohren Sie ein Loch (Durch-
messer mindestens 6,5 mm) für
die Reglerachse. Ziehen Sie den
Reglerknopf und die Reglerskala
nach oben ab.
2. Bohren Sie zwei Löcher für die
Befestigungsschrauben. Stecken
Sie den Fahrregler von unten
durch die Bohrung für die Regler-
achse. Befestigen Sie ihn von
oben mit zwei M3-Schrauben.
Achtung! Die Schrauben dürfen
nicht mehr als 4 mm über die
Unterseite des Kühlblechs her-
ausragen. Wenn die Schrauben
weiter hervorstehen oder auf die
Platine drücken, wird die Platine
beschädigt.

3. Kleben Sie die Reglerskala auf
die Vorderseite des Stellpults und
stecken Sie den Reglerknopf
wieder auf den Fahrregler.
Achtung! Das Kühlblech muß
belüftet sein.Wenn der Fahrregler
in einem geschlossenen Gehäu-
se eingebaut wird, müssen aus-
reichende Belüftungslöcher vor-
gesehen werden. Werden mehre-
re Fahrregler nebeneinander ein-
gebaut, muß zwischen den Kühl-
blechen ein Abstand von minde-
stens 5 mm bleiben.
Elektrisch
Der Fahrregler kann mit Wechsel-
strom oder Gleichstrom von
jedem LGB-Trafo betrieben wer-
den. Eine eingebaute elektroni-
sche Schaltung erkennt automa-
tisch den Spannungstyp und wan-
delt diesen zur Einspeisung in die
Gleise entsprechend um.
Schließen Sie den Trafo an die
Anschlüsse rechts am Fahrregler
(mit WS/SW gekennzeichnet) an.
Verbinden Sie die Anschlüsse
links am Fahrregler (mit RT/BL
gekennzeichnet) mit den Gleisen
(Abb. 1).
Hinweis: Der Fahrregler 52120
kann auch mit zwei 12-V-Autobat-
terie verwendet werden. Aus
Sicherheitsgründen müssen Sie
dabei eine 4-A-Autosicherung
einbauen.
Fahrbetrieb auch ohne Steckdose

zum Schutz der nachgeschalte-
ten Geräte eine 4-A-Feinsiche-
rung (z.B. Auto-Kabel-Sicherung
wie bei Autoradios verwendet)
zwischengeschaltet werden.
Ohne diese 4-A-Sicherung wird
der Fahrregler zerstört!
Achtung! Verwenden Sie zum
Anschluß des Fahrreglers Kabel
mit einem Querschnitt von minde-
stens 0,5 mm2 (z.B.LGB 50160).
Bedienung
Der Fahrregler ist ausgeschaltet,
wenn der Reglerknopf in der Mitte
auf „0“ steht. Drehen Sie den
Reglerknopf nach rechts oder
links, um Geschwindigkeit und
Fahrtrichtung zu regeln.
Überlast-Sicherung
Der Fahrregler ist mit einer Kurz-
schluß-Sicherung ausgestattet.
Wenn ein Kurzschluß auftritt,
schaltet sich der Fahrregler ab.
Die Kurzschluß-Abschaltung
funktioniert jedoch nur, wenn der
angeschlosseneTrafo einen Fahr-
strom von mindestens 5 A liefern

kann.
Wenn Ihr LGB-Trafo weniger als 5
A abgibt, wird bei einem Kurz-
schluß die Überlast-Sicherung
des Trafos ausgelöst (siehe
Stromversorgung).
Achtung! Ziehen Sie bei Überla-
stung oder Kurzschluß sofort das
Netzkabel des Trafos aus der
Steckdose.
1. Kurzschluß: Beheben Sie die
Ursache des Kurzschlusses.
Stecken Sie den Stecker wieder
in die Steckdose. Drehen Sie den
Reglerknopf etwa 2 Sekunden
lang auf Stellung „0“, um den
Fahrregler wieder einzuschalten.
2. Überlastung: Nehmen Sie
eine oder mehrere Loks vom
Gleis. Stecken Sie den Stecker
wieder in die Steckdose. Drehen
Sie den Reglerknopf etwa 2
Sekunden lang auf Stellung „0“,
um den Fahrregler wieder einzu-
schalten.
Stromversorgung
Achtung! Um Sicherheit und
Zuverlässigkeit zu gewährleisten,
betreiben Sie dieses Produkt nur
mit LGB-Trafos. Bei Verwendung
von anderen Trafos funktioniert
die Überlast-Sicherung unter
Umständen nicht. Weiterhin wird
bei Verwendung von anderen Tra-
fos Ihre Garantie ungültig.

OPERATION
Installation
Mechanical
52120:
The 52120 can be installed indo-
ors or outdoors.
52121:
The 52121 is designed for instal-
lation in control panels or similar
applications. To install the 52121,
follow these instructions:
1. Drill a hole (diameter at least
6.5 mm, 9/32 in) for the axle of the
throttle knob.Pull the throttle knob
and the graduated dial face off the
unit.
2. Drill two holes for the mounting
screws. Insert the axle of the
throttle knob from below through
the hole drilled in step 1. Use two
M3 screws to secure the throttle
from above.
Attention! The screws must not
protrude more than 4 mm (3/16“)
from the heat sink. If they protru-
de further or press on the circuit
board, the circuit board will be
damaged.
3. Glue the graduated dial face
onto the face of the control panel
and press the throttle knob onto
the throttle.
Attention! Make sure the heat
sink is ventilated. If the throttle is
installed in a closed housing, pro-
vide adequate ventilation holes.
When installing several throttles
52121 next to each other, make
sure there is a space of at least 5
mm between the heat sinks.
Electrical
The throttles can be connected to
AC or DC power from any LGB
power supply. An internal circuit
automatically detects the power
type and converts it to track
power.
Connect the power supply to the
terminals on the right side of the
throttle (marked WS/SW).
Connect the track to the terminals
on the left side (marked RT/BL).
Hint: The throttle can also be
used with two 12 volt automotive
or „deep cycle“ battery. For safety,
also use a regular automotive
fuse rated up to 4 amps.
Operating without mains volta-
ge supply
Figure 2: When connecting to a
12-volt car battery, the circuit
must be protected via a 4 A fuse,
(e.g. car in-lead fuse holder as
used for car radios).If a fuse is not
fitted, the electronic controller will
be damaged.
Attention! Connect the throttle
using wires with a cross-section
of at least 0.5 mm2 (20 AWG) (e.
g., LGB 50160).
Operation
When the throttle knob is in the
center „0“ position, the throttle is
off.Turn the throttle left or right to
change the speed and direction of
the train.

Overload Protection
The throttle is protected against
short circuits. If a short circuit
occurs, the throttle will switch off.
However, this overload protection
functions only when using a
power supply with an output of 5
amps or more.
When using an LGB power supp-
ly with an output of less than 5
amps, a short circuit will trigger
the overload protection of your
power pack (see Power Supply).
Attention! If there is a short cir-
cuit or overload, unplug the power
supply from the house current
outlet immediately:
1. Short circuit: Find and remove
the short circuit. Reconnect the
power supply cord. Reset the
throttle by turning the throttle
knob to the center „0“ position for
at least 2 seconds.
2.Overload: Remove one or more
locos from the track. Reconnect
the power supply cord. Reset the
throttle by turning the throttle
knob to the center „0“ position for
at least 2 seconds.
Power Supply
Attention! For safety and reliabi-
lity, operate this product with LGB
power supplies (transformers and
power packs) only. With other
power supplies, the overload pro-
tection may not work. The use of
non-LGB power supplies will void
your warranty.

COMMANDE
Montage
mécanique
52120:
Le dispositif de commande 52120
peut être installé à l’intérieur ou
dans un réseau de jardin.
52121:
Le dispositif de commande élec-
tronique est entre autres conçu
pour le montage dans des pupit-
res de commande. Ce dispositif
est monté de la manière suivante:
1. Percez un trou (diamètre d’au
moins 6,5 mm) pour l’axe de
réglage. Otez le bouton de régla-
ge et l’échelle de réglage en tirant
vers le haut.
2. Percez deux trous pour les vis
de fixation.Insérez le dispositif de
commande par le bas en le fai-
sant passer par le trou prévu pour
l’axe de réglage. Fixez le par le
haut avec deux vis M3.
Attention ! Les vis ne doivent
pas dépasser de plus de 4 mm de
la partie inférieure de la tôle de
refroidissement. Dans le cas con-
traire ou si elles appuient sur la
platine, celle-ci sera endom-
magée.
3. Collez l’échelle de réglage sur
la partie avant du pupitre de com-
mande et remontez le bouton de
réglage sur le dispositif de com-
mande.
Attention ! La tôle de refroidisse-
ment doit être aérée. Dans le cas
où le dispositif de commande
serait monté dans un boîtier
fermé, prévoir suffisamment de
trous d’aération. Si plusieurs dis-
positif de commande sont montés
les uns à côté des autres, un
intervalle d’au moins 5 mm doit
être prévu entre les tôles de refro-
idissement.
Montage
électrique
Le dispositif de commande peut
être utilisé avec n’importe quel
transformateur LGB en courant
alternatif ou continu. Un couplage
électronique intégré reconnaît
automatiquement le type de ten-
sion et la convertit en courant
continu d’alimentation des rails.
Connectez le transformateur aux
raccords situés à droite du poste
de commande (indiqués par
WS/SW). Reliez les raccords à
gauche du poste de commande
(indiqués par RT/BL) aux rails.
Remarque : Le dispositif de com-
mande 52120 peut aussi être uti-
lisé avec un accumulateur de 12V
Dans ce cas, il faut pour des rai-

sons de sécurité installer un fusi-
ble de sécurité automatique de 4
A.
Service sans prise de courant
Figure 2: Si l’on raccorde à une
batterie automobile deux 12 volts,
il faut intercaler un fusible en fil fin
de 4 A (par exemple, fusible de
câble d’auto-radio) pour la protec-
tion des appareils branchés.Sans
ce fusible de 4 A, le régulateur
sera détruit!
Attention ! Pour le raccordement
du dispositif de commande, utili-
sez un câble d’une coupe trans-
versale d’au moins 0,5 mm2 (par
ex., LGB 50160).
Commande
Le dispositif de commande est
hors service lorsque le bouton de
réglage se trouve au milieu sur
«0».Tournez le bouton de réglage
vers la droite ou la gauche pour
régler la vitesse et le sens de
direction de la locomotive.
Fusible de surcharge
Le dispositif de commande 52120
est équipé d’un fusible de court-
circuit. En cas de court-circuit, le
dispositif de commande s’arrête
automatiquement. Le disjoncteur
de court-circuit fonctionne seule-
ment si le transformateur connec-
té fournit un courant de traction
d’au moins 5 A.
En cas contraire, le fusible de
surcharge du transformateur est
déclenché (voir Alimentation
électrique).
Attention ! En cas de surcharge
ou de court-circuit, débranchez
immédiatement le câble de distri-
bution du transformateur de la
prise électrique.
1. Court-circuit : Eliminez la
cause du court-circuit. Rebran-
chez le connecteur dans la prise
électrique. Tournez le bouton de
réglage pendant 2 secondes envi-
ron sur la position «0» pour
remettre le poste de commande
en marche.
2. Surcharge : Retirez une ou
plusieurs locomotives des voies.
Rebranchez le connecteur dans
la prise électrique. Tournez le
bouton de réglage pendant 2
secondes environ sur la position
«0» pour remettre le dispositif de
commande en marche.
Alimentation électrique
Attention ! Afin d’assurer un fon-
ctionnement sûr et fiable de ce
produit, n’utilisez celui-ci qu’avec
des transformateurs LGB. Si vous
utilisez des transformateurs pro-
venant d’autres fabricants, le fusi-
ble de surcharge risque de ne pas
fonctionner et votre garantie peut
être annulée.
