Operation
Motorised operation
For motorisation information, please refer to the
SOMFY®, Merger ® or PowerView® product brochure
that is supplied with your blinds.
Care and cleaning
Routine maintenance
Dusting
Dust can be easily bruched off using a clean soft cloth,
a feather duster or a vacuum cleaner with brush
attachment.
To dust, tilt slats up and then down, to reach the top
and bottom surfaces.
Woodessence (Timber-Look)
Venetians Only
Spot Cleaning
To remove stains, simply wipe with a sponge and luke
warm water.
Manual Cord Lock operation
To tilt the slats:
Pull on one of the single cords to tilt the slats in one
direction, and pull on the other cord to tilt the slats in
the opposite direction.
To raise and lower the blind:
Raise and lower the shade manually and lock in place
with the cord lock. Wind excess cord around the cleats.
The cord lock has a locking device that holds the cords
in place when they hang vertically down. To raise or
lower the blind, pull the double cords towards the
middle until you hear the cord lock disengage. When
the blind is at the desired height, return the cord lock to
the side of the blind to re-engage the cord lock.
IMPORTANT: When raising or lowering the blind, the
slats should be in the open position.
LiteRise operation
To tilt the slats:
Simply rotate the wand to tilt the slats from fully closed
to any desired angle.
To raise and lower the blind:
Simply push up using the bottom rail to raise the blind
and pull down on the bottom rail to lower the blind
IMPORTANT: When raising or lowering the blind, the
slats should be in the open position.
IMPORTANT NOTE
DO NOT allow water to come into contact with
genuine Timber Venetians. Although the timber is
coated, if water comes into contact with the timber it
can cause the slats to warp, bow or twist. It can cause
water stains to occur or the paint or lacquer to peel.
DO NOT use a damp cloth to clean genuine timber
blinds. Damage to the blind, caused by water is not
covered under warranty.
Welcome to the
Luxaflex Lifestyle
Thank you for purchasing Luxaflex® Timber
or Woodessence Venetians.
With proper operation and care your new
blinds will provide years of beauty and
performance.
Please review this instruction Booklet
thoroughly for operation and care information.
The information and advice included in this brochure has been
prepared with care. However, we are unable to accept responsibility
for the results of or any damage caused during operation.
As with all natural products, Luxaflex® Timber Venetians are subject
to some variations in the grain, colour and texture, and are
considered normal acceptable quality. Precautions should be taken to
reduce exposure to harsh environmental elements, such as salt air.
Continuous exposure through open windows and doors will
accelerate the wood deterioration. Additionally, the timber blinds are
made from real, natural wood. Therefore great care must be taken
when cleaning the blinds. Even though the wood is sealed, water and
sometimes excessive dampness may cause warpage or
discolouration of the slats.
Luxaflex® Woodessence Blinds have been developed to capture the
real look of wood, and eliminate any inconsistencies with colour,
grain and pattern that might traditionally be found in real timber.
However, small variations are considered normal, acceptable quality.
Precautions should be taken to reduce exposure to harsh
environmental elements, such as salt air, where regular cleaning
maintenance is recommended.
