Informationen zum Vorbild
Als erste Schnellzuglokomotiven nach dem Einheitspro-
gramm der Deutschen Reichsbahn wurden ab 1925 die Zwei-
zylindermaschinen der Baureihe 01 von Borsig und AEG ab-
geliefert. Die BR 01 war die Schnellzugdampflok schlechthin.
Von den insgesamt 231 in Dienst gestellten Exemplaren hat-
ten die Lokomotiven ab der Betriebsnummer 01 102 verstär-
kte Bremsen sowie vordere Laufräder mit 1.000 mm Durch-
messer erhalten. Dadurch konnte die Höchstgeschwindigkeit
von ursprünglich 120 auf 130 km/h heraufgesetzt werden.
Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg waren die BR 01 bei beiden
deutschen Bahnverwaltungen vorhanden. Das vorliegende
Modell, die 01 133 wurde, wie viele ihrer Schwestermaschi-
nen bei der Deutschen Bundesbahn, mit einigen Änderungen
versehen. So tauschte man die großen Wagner-Windleit-
bleche gegen die materialsparenden Witte-Bleche aus und
verlegte die vorne liegenden Luft- und Wasserpumpen in die
Fahrzeugmitte. Das erleichterte dem Lokführer die Sicht auf
die Strecke.
Einige Lokomotiven der BR 01 existieren heute noch als Mu-
seumsmaschinen.
Information about the Prototype
The two-cylinder class 01 locomotives were delivered star-
ting in 1925 by Borsig and AEG as the first express locomotive
from the German State Railroad‘s standardization program.
The class 01 was the express locomotive par excellence. Of
the total of 231 units placed into service, locomotives starting
with road number 01 102 had stronger brakes as well as pilot
wheels with a diameter of 1000 mm / 39-3/8“. This meant the
maximum speed could be increased from the original 120 to
130 km/h / 75 to 81 mph.
After World War II, the class 01 was in service on both of
the German railroads. The model before you, road no. 01 133,
underwent several changes like many of its siblings on the
German Federal Railroad. The large Wagner smoke deflec-
tors were replaced by smaller Witte smoke deflectors to save
material, and the air and water pumps were moved from the
front to the center of the locomotive. This made it easier for
the locomotive engineer to see down the track.
Several class 01 locomotives still exist today as museum pi-
eces.

Informations concernant la locomotive réelle
Premières locomotives pour trains rapides dans le cadre
du programme d’unification de la Deutsche Reichsbahn,
les machines à deux cylindres de Borsig et AEG, série 01,
furent livrées à partir de 1925. La BR 01 était la locomotive
à vapeur pour trains rapides par excellence. Parmi les 231
unités mises en service, les locomotives portant les numéros
d’immatriculation supérieurs à 01 102 avaient été équipées
de freins plus puissants ainsi que de roues porteuses avant
d’un diamètre de 1000 mm. Ainsi, la vitesse maximale était
passée de 120 à 130 km/h.
Après la seconde guerre mondiale, les deux administrations
allemandes des chemins de fer disposaient de BR 01. La pré-
sente locomotive immatriculée 01 133 bénéficia, comme un
bon nombre de sœurs à la Deutsche Bundesbahn, de quel-
ques modifications. Les grands écrans pare-fumée Wagner
furent ainsi échangés contre des tôles Witte, plus écono-
miques, et les pompes à air et à eau situées à l’avant furent
déplacées vers le milieu du véhicule. La visibilité pour le mé-
canicien s’en trouva améliorée.
Certaines locomotives de la série 01 (BR 01) existent encore
aujourd’hui comme machines-musée.

Als eerste sneltreinlocomotief na het eenheidsprogramma
van de Deutschen Reichsbahn, werden vanaf 1925 de twee-
cilinder-machines van de serie 01 door Borsig en AEG afgele-
verd. De BR 01 was met gemak de sneltreinstoomlocomotief.
Van de in totaal 231 in dienst genomen exemplaren hadden
de locomotieven vanaf het bedrijfsnummer 01 102 zwaardere
remmen en loopwielen met een doorsnee van 1000 mm gek-
regen. Hierdoor kon de maximumsnelheid van 120 naar 130
km/h omhoog gebracht worden.
Na de tweede Wereldoorlog was de BR 01 bij de beide Du-
itse spoorwegmaatschappijen in gebruik. Aan het model, de
01 133 werden, zoals bij vele zustermachines bij de Deut-
schen Bundesbahn enkele wijzigingen uitgevoerd. Zo verving
men de grote Wagner-windleiplaten door materiaal bespa-
rende Witte-platen en verplaatste men de voor op liggende
lucht- en waterpompen naar het midden van de loc. Hierdoor
verbeterde het zicht op de baan voor de machinist.
Enkele locomotieven van de serie 01 zijn als museumstuk nog
bewaard gebleven.

tori che corrispondono alla Vostra tensione di rete locale.
• Lalocomotivanondevevenirealimentatanellostesso
tempo con più di una sorgente di potenza.
• Vogliateprestareassolutamenteattenzionealleavverten-
ze di sicurezza nelle istruzioni di impiego per il Vostro
sistema di funzionamento.
• Perilfunzionamentotradizionaledellalocomotivailbina-
rio di alimentazione deve essere protetto dai disturbi. A
tale scopo si deve impiegare il corredo antidisturbi 74046.
Tale corredo antidisturbi non è adatto per il funzionamen-
to Digital.
• AVVERTENZA! Per motivi funzionali i bordi e le punte
sono spigolosi.
• Nonesponetetalemodelloadalcunirraggiamentosolare
diretto, a forti escursioni di temperatura oppure a elevata
umidità dell’aria.
