Every single equipment is equipped with an
identification plate (Fig. 1) whose data shows:
1. Mark and address of the Manufacturer;
2. Designation of the machine;
3. Type of machine;
4. Serial number of the machine;
5. Max. unladen mass (kg);
6. Max. laden mass (kg);
7. Production year;
8. EC and EAC marking;
9. “Made in” and QR code;
It is advisable to transcribe your data on the serial
number below shown on the date of purchase (10)
and the name of the dealer (11).

1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. General Description
Transportation to storage area and storage of weed mown in the field, lucerne or other
plants that can be used as animal feed in winter, grain stems or hay is a very difficult
process. These products are compacted and packed to ease storage and transportation.
Thus, properly formed weed packs can be easily transported and stored with small footprint.
This process also minimizes losses during transportation and storage. In short, process of
packing and tying the weed, grain stems and hay is called baling. The machines facilitating
this process are called balers.
1.2. Intended Use
Square baler (PITAGORA INLINE) is equipped with rectangle chamber making bale.
Agricultural bale substances like grass and hay are compressed as standard rectangle bales
in the bale chamber. Stable bale chamber of square baler PITAGORA INLINE can achieve
compressing bales in size approximately 36 cm x 46 cm and the size of bales can be
changed optionally. Bale makers is equipped with system of knotter set. PITAGORA INLINE
baler has two versions; 2 twines and 3 twines.
This baler is designed to be towed by an agriculture tractor or maneuvered by a tractor
PTO shaft. This machine is used to bale animal feed products including lucerne, and mixed
stem/weed mown and piled in windrow form on the plowed field.
PITAGORA INLINE balers are designed for standard agriculture only.
Any other use does not conform with the intended use. Manufacturer cannot be held
liable for any inappropriate use at operator’s own risk.
Allowed Bale Materials: Weed varieties used for animal feed such as weed, hay. Any
other uses and inappropriate products (Corn, Peanut, Cane and Harrow and Stubble Bales,
etc.) shall render warranty coverage void.

1.3.1. General Information
This User Manual is valid for the square balers starting with PITAGORA INLINE serial
numbers.
Useful economic life of PITAGORA INLINE Square Baler determined by ministry
is 10 years.

1.3.3. Information Required for Questions and Orders
Remember to provide machine type, Chassis ID No. and manufacturing year when
asking questions about the machine or requesting part replacement!
1.3.4. Intended Operation
PITAGORA INLINE balers are designed for standard agricultural use only. Any other
use does not conform with the intended use. Manufacturer cannot be held liable for any
inappropriate use at operator’s own risk.

1.4. General Aspects for Environmental Science
Soil, air and water; these are the indispensible elements of agriculture and life in
general. In case local regulations do not govern treatment of chemical substances as
required by advanced technologies or in lack of such regulations, common practices should
be considered in use and disposal of chemical and petrochemical byproducts.
Useful Tips
•Avoid filling tanks using inappropriate containers or pressure filling systems as they
may result in large spills and fluid leaks.
•As a general rule, prevent your skin from contacting any fuels, lubricants, acids,
solvents etc. These media mostly contain chemical substances that are hazardous for
your health.
•Modern lubricants contain additives. Do not incinerate contaminated fuels and/or used
oils in conventional heating systems nor leave them to the disposal of anyone
requesting them for other uses.
Useful Recommendations
•Ask and find out relevant regulations.
•If there is no applicable regulation on waste management; get information on impact of
oils, filters, batteries, fuels, antifreeze, cleaning agents, etc. on the environment as well
as their safe storage, use and disposal.
•Avoid discharge of used radiator water, motor, transmission and hydraulic oils, brake
hydraulic oil and other fluids, if any, into the environment. Never mix used brake
hydraulic fluid or fuels with lubricants. Store them safely until you find a method of
disposal in compliance with laws and local regulations.
•For example, modern radiator fluids such as antifreeze and other additives should be
replaced every two years. Do not discharge them to the environment and instead,
collect and dispose appropriately.

2. TECHNICAL INFORMATION
2.1. Tractor Requirements
•Road-drive is permitted only if the bale chamber is empty.
•Maximum permitted speed: 20 kmph
•As for the machines that are not equipped with brake, deadweight of the tractor should
meet the given specifications or otherwise at least have a weight suitable with
deadweight of the baler.
•Observe the given conditions for machines with operating permit.
Minimum power requirement : 50-60 HP
PTO Drive : 540 rpm
PTO drive of tractor must not exceed 540 rpm.
Please provide each user of the machine to read this User and
Service Manual carefully. Keep this booklet as a quick reference
guide.
•Bolts, nuts, shims on sections and parts of the machine might be unscrewed during
passing hubbly and stony roads when the machine is connected to tractor with
maximum highest speed. In this case, damages and malfunctions can be occurred
during the running of machine. Required solution is to screw bolts and nuts by
checking at every workday.

3. SAFETY
3.1. Determination of Safety Precautions in User Guide
Before using the machine, please read this User Manual and obey the safety rules.
It is assumed that the customer read all the rules in User Manual of the
purchased machine.
3.2. Safety Statements and Accident Preventer Regulations Personal Safety
You will notice the warnings on this booklet, machine and stickers followed by specific
guidance (“DANGER – TEHLİKE “ , “ WARNING – UYARI “ ve “ CAUTION – DİKKAT “ ).
Those warnings are for personal security of both you and personnel working with you. Please
allow time to read this warnings.
As a result of not to pursue instructions following the words “DANGER – TEHLİKE” ,
“WARNING – UYARI” and “CAUTION – DİKKAT” might end up with death or severe injury.
3.3. Warnings and Precautions
The best operator is the cautious operator. Majority of the accidents can be prevented
by taking certain measures. Read the following warnings before operating this equipment to
help preventing accidents. Equipment should only be operated by trained persons
responsible for the operation.
Review the procedures in this operating and maintenance booklet together with all
operators. It is important that all operators learn and observe safety warnings.
The term "DANGER – TEHLİKE" indicates a danger
situation that might end up with death or severe injury if not
prevented. The relevant color linked with danger is RED .
The term "WARNING – UYARI" indicates a potential danger
situation that might end up with death or severe injury if not
prevented. The relevant color linked with warning is
ORANGE.
The term "CAUTION – DİKKAT" indicates a potential danger
situation that might end up with slight or severe injury if not
prevented. The relevant color linked with warning is
YELLOW.

Most agricultural equipment accidents can be prevented by observing a few
simple safety measures.
•Do not perform any cleaning, lubrication or adjustment work while baler is in operation
(moving) or tractor engine is running.
•Listen and visually check to see presence of any rotating parts.
•Do not activate the clutch before making sure that everyone is away from the machine
and there is no repair kit left on the machine.
•Do not work with loose clothing that may be caught in moving parts around the
machine.
•Do not attempt to pull out hay from any part of the baler while in use.
•Do not refill fuel tank while the tractor towing the baler is running.
•Never operate the baler without all guards in place.
•Do not allow anyone on the baler.
•Do not disconnect baler while in operation.
•Do not approach to the machine for minimum 1 minute after shutting the machine down.
3.4. Personnel Qualification and Training
People operating, performing maintenance procedures or repairing the baler must be
warned against the risks associated with machine operation, and must receive training
accordingly. Operator should assume the responsibility and monitor the personnel. If the
personnel is lacking required knowledge, they should immediately receive necessary training
and explanations. Operator must ensure that content of this manual is fully read and
understood by the personnel.
Repair procedures that are not specified in this manual must be performed by
authorized service personnel only.
3.5. Failure to Implement Safety Measures
Personal injuries and environmental hazards as well as machine damage may occur in
case of failure to observe safety measures. Failure to observe safety measures may render
all claims of damage void. Following dangers may emerge when safety measures are not
observed:
•Risks arising due to failure to protect work area
•Loss of substantial functions of the machine
•Failure to follow recommended methods of repair and maintenance
•Risks that may arise from mechanical and chemical effects
•Environmental hazards that may arise from hydraulic oil leaks
Safety measures in this manual that, if not avoided, may
result in personal injuries are indicated with general danger
sign. Descriptions attached to the machine must be
observed, and must be in legible state.

3.6. Secure and Conscious Operation
•Comply with safety measures specified in this manual, existing accident prevention
measures and any internal procedures as well as operation and safety rules
instructed by the operator.
•Safety measures provided by vehicle manufacturer must also be observed.
•Applicable traffic rules on public roads must be followed.
3.7. Safety Measures and Accident Prevention Arrangements
•In addition to the safety measures in this manual, please observe generic
applicable safety and accident prevention rules.
•Warning and safety signs affixed on machinery provide important information for a
safe operation. Pay attention to those signs for your own safety!
•Pay attention to follow traffic rules on public areas!
•Ensure that you have knowledge of all functions as well as entire assembly before
working with the machine. Attempting to learn them during machine operation will
be too late!
•Operators must wear tight-fitting clothes. Avoid loose and large clothing!
•Leave the machine clean against fire risk!
•Make sure nobody is around the machine before operating or moving the machine
(watch out for children!). Ensure that you have clear visibility!
•Do not climb on the machine and do not place materials on the machine while
running.
•Properly attach any tools to the machine! Attach the tools to specified devices and
protect them!
•Place supporting devices to correct positions when attaching and disconnecting the
tools.
•Be extra careful when connecting or disconnecting tools to/from the tractor.
•Always install counterweights properly and to indicated fixed points.
•Observe allowed axle loads, weed weight and transportation dimensions!
•Install and check lighting, warning devices and transportation accessories such as
protective equipment!
•Starting mechanisms for remote control devices (cables, chains, connections, etc.)
must be arranged in a way to prevent inadvertent activation of any maneuvers
during transportation or operation.
•Ensure that tools are in required condition for road, and contain them at locations
specified by the manufacturer!
•Never leave the driver seat unattended while the vehicle is running!
•Always drive the vehicle at correct speeds for desired driving conditions! Avoid
sudden change of direction while moving on ramps, inclined or curved roads!
•Attached tools or ballast weights influence drive, driving wheel and machine’s
reaction to braking. Make sure that you can use brakes and steering wheel as
required!
•Consider swaying effect for turning radius and/or corners!
•Start the tools only after protective devices are connected and installed in right
places!
•Always keep machine working area clear!
•Stay away from tool rotation and turning area!

•Sections operated by external forces (i.e., hydraulics, collector assembly) may
result in crushing and cutting injuries!
•Set the tools down on the ground, stop the engine and remove ignition key before
leaving tractor!
•No one should be present between tractor and baler before ensuring that the
vehicle is absolutely stopped.
3.7.1. Protection of Mechanical Systems
Mechanical systems of the machine should be checked before and after operating
the machine to prevent any jams or presence of foreign objects.
3.7.2. Shaft Connection Procedures
•Only use PTO shafts specified by the manufacturer!
•Make sure that shaft covers are in place while machine is running!
•Disconnect power take-off, stop the engine and remove ignition key after installing or
removing PTO shafts!
•Ensure that PTO shaft is installed and protected properly!
•Attach chain to prevent rotation of PTO shaft guard along with the shaft itself.

•Ensure that selected PTO shaft tractor speed matches permitted tool speed before
installing PTO shaft!
•Make sure that no one around the tool is in danger before attaching PTO shaft!
•Never connect PTO shaft while engine is running! Stop the engine and remove ignition
key when attaching PTO shaft! Safeguard the flywheel using the emergency break.
•No one should be in the perimeter of the wheel while PTO shaft is running!
•Always shut down PTO shaft when it is not needed or if the angle is too large!
•CAUTION! Flywheel will continue running for a while after disconnecting PTO shaft.
Keep the tools clear in the mean time! Do not perform any work with tools until
machine comes to complete stop and flywheel is safeguarded using emergency break!
•Do not connect the PTO shaft to driving vehicles without cleaning and lubrication.

•Place the disconnected PTO shaft on recommended connection mount!
•Attach the cover on PTO shaft end after removing PTO shaft!
•If any damage occurs, fix the problem before operating the machine!
3.7.3. Hydraulic system
•Hydraulic system is under pressure, Be Careful.
•Ensure that hydraulic hoses are connected properly when making connections with
hydraulic cylinders and engines.
•Make sure that there is no hydraulic mechanism under pressure or still running on both
tractor and vehicle before installing hydraulic hoses to hydraulic connections on the
tractor!
•Coupling muffs and cables should be considered to ensure proper hydraulic
connection between tractor and vehicle. If connections are reversed, so will the
function will be reversed. (i.e.; increase/reduce)- accident risk!
•Check hydraulic hose sets periodically, and replace if damaged or worn. New hoses
should meet technical requirements specified by vehicle manufacturer!
•Use appropriate tools to avoid risk of injury when checking for leaks!
•Fluids (hydraulic oil) leaking from high pressure may cause damage on skin and result
in some severe injuries! Seek medical aid in case of injury! Infection risk!
3.7.4. Tires
•Make sure the vehicle is set off on the ground and prevented against risk of rolling
when performing work on tires! If the machine is on an inclined surface, place wheel
chocks, etc. obstacles in front of the tires on the side of inclination to prevent skidding
of the machine.

•Adequate knowledge is appropriate tools are required to install wheels and tires.
•Repair work on wheels and tires must be performed by specifically trained people
using appropriate installation tools.
•Regularly check tire pressures! Maintain recommended pressure for the tires!

3.7.5. Safety During Maintenance
1. Ensure that motor and power are off before performing any repair, maintenance or
cleaning work!
-Remove ignition key. Remove engine key from ignition and keep it with you!
2. Check proper seating of bolts and belts regularly, tighten if necessary!
3. Take appropriate measures against falling when performing maintenance on a tool at
height!
4. Always use appropriate gloves and tools when replacing tools with sharp edges!
5. Ensure disposal of oils and filters according to regulations!
6. Always disconnect power supply before working on electrical systems!
7. Check protective equipment and guards regularly, and replace them in timely manner
if worn!
8. Remove alternator and battery cables when performing electrical welding on tractor
and attachments!
9. Replaced parts must meet technical requirements set forth by the manufacturer. This
is only possible with genuine Maschio Fienagione spare parts.
3.8. Unauthorized Modification and Production of Replaced Parts
Any modifications on the machine must be permitted by the manufacturer. Genuine
spare parts and attachment units supplied by the manufacturer ensures a safe use.
3.9. Unauthorized Operations
Operational safety of the machine is only valid when it is used in accordance with the
intended use described in General Information section of the manual. Never exceed the limits
specified in information tables.
3.10. Introduction to Machine
Maschio Fienagione baler is equipped with all necessary safety devices. However, it is
impossible to eliminate all potential hazards as the guards and equipment may encumber
machine functions and capabilities.
