Over lang
Apparatet må i e tilde es.
S ru i e av lo et, overlat det til en fagmann.
Farlig spenning!
Medisins utstyr type B i h.h.t. standard IEC601-1/EN60601-1.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE:
Type 8715/9315/9815 is a fast charger for NiCd/NiMH batteries employing -∆V detection to
terminate high rate charging when the batteries are almost fully charged. The technique
depends upon the reduction in on-charge voltage which occurs when cells move into
overcharge during constant current charging. The 8715/9315/9815 detects a fall from the
pea on-charge voltage of the battery and terminates fast charge at this point. In addition there
is a safety timer which stops fast charge if the fall in voltage is not detected for any reason.
Some batteries exhibit negative voltage effects during the first few moments of charging -
especially if they have been stored for some time - and the 8715/9315/9815 copes with this
by inhibiting the -∆V sensing for the first minutes of the charging cycle.
WARNINGS:
Avoid harging ells in different states of harge onne ted in series.
Do not harge when the temperature is outside the range +10o C to +35oC.
Ensure that the battery to be harged is a "fast harge" type. Che k with the
manufa turer if you are unsure.
Ensure that the battery is onne ted with the orre t polarity. The harger may be
damaged if reversed.
Dis onne t battery from harger if the mains supply is dis onne ted. Do not harge
more ells than shown on the produ t label.
USE:
Connect to mains and switch on charger. Connect battery observing correct polarity. Charging
will commence immediately and an orange LED is lightening. When the fast charge has
terminated, a green LED is lightening (some models flash in tric le mode). The battery can be
left on in this state continuously if required and it is recommenced to charge batteries for at
least 14-16 hours after several cycles of fast charging to ensure proper cell balance.
The charger is re-set by disconnecting the battery and connecting a discharged battery.
Switching the mains supply off and on will also reset the charger.
NOTES:
This charger converts mains voltage to low voltage DC.
It has no switch and is activated immediately on plugging in.
Use indoors only - Do not expose to rain and dusty conditions.
Do not cover.
High voltage exists internally - Do not open case.
Fused internally. Use the same type of fuse when replacing.
Double insulated Class 2.
Disconnect when not in use.
The soc et outlet shall be easily accessible.
This product is also designed for IT-power system with phase to phase voltage.
If the apparatus is mar ed with EN60601-1 (8715, 9815), it is classified as
Medical Equipment Type B in Accordance with Standard IEC601-1/EN60601-1.
