NEW FEATURES IN RELEASE 4.2.0 SP1
This section provides the new features in SIP Phone Release 4.2.0 SP1. The following table
summarizes each new feature and provides a link to more information within this release note.
Each feature also specifies whether it affects theAdministrator, the User, or the XML Developer.
This table may also provide the documentation location of features that have already been
documented in Mitel’s documentation suite. Refer to those documents for more information

Configuration Features
Directory Loose Number Matching
Enhancements
(For Administrators)
Starting with Release 4.2.0 SP1, the value defined for the
"directory digits match" configuration parameter now
corresponds to the minimum number of digits the phone will take
into account to perform a directory lookup. If the incoming call’s
phone number is less than the value defined for the "directory
digits match" parameter, the phone will not perform a directory
lookup and will display the information provided in the SIP
header.

BroadSoft BroadWorks Remote
Office Support
(For Administrators and Users)
Release 4.2.0 SP1 introduces interoperability support for the
BroadSoft BroadWorks Remote Office service using the
BroadSoft BroadWorks Xsi API. The BroadWorks Remote Office
service allows users the ability to use any remote endpoint device
as their office phone. Users can define a remote office number or
SIP-URI whereby all incoming calls to their SIP phone will be
automatically forwarded to the defined remote office
number/SIP-URI
*New for the 6867i, 6869i, and 6873i.
BroadSoft BroadWorks
Simultaneous Ring Personal
Support
(For Administrators and Users)
Release 4.2.0 SP1 introduces interoperability support for the
BroadSoft BroadWorks Simultaneous Ring Personal service
using the BroadSoft BroadWorks Xsi API. The BroadWorks
Simultaneous Ring Personal service allows users the ability to
define up to 10 phone numbers or SIP-URIs and independently
set which phone numbers should ring when a call is incoming to
their primary phone.
*New for the 6867i, 6869i, and 6873i.
BroadSoft BroadWorks Anywhere
Support
(For Administrators and Users)
Release 4.2.0 SP1 introduces interoperability support for the
BroadSoft BroadWorks Anywhere service using the BroadSoft
BroadWorks Xsi API. The BroadWorks Anywhere service allows
users the ability to make and receive calls using one number,
regardless of the device being used. When enabled on the phone,
users are able to configure the BroadWorks Anywhere service
directly through the phone’s native UI.
