1.1 Konstruktion und Funktion
Die Prothesenfüße 1C50 Taleo und 1C53 Taleo LP eignen sich zum Gehen
auf unterschiedlichen Untergründen und in einem großen Geschwindigkeits
bereich. Der Fersenauftritt wird durch den großen, austauschbaren Fersen
keil gedämpft.
Federelemente aus Carbon und Polymer ermöglichen eine spürbare Plantar
flexion bei Fersenauftritt, eine natürliche Abrollbewegung und hohe Ener
gierückgabe.
1.2 Kombinationsmöglichkeiten
Diese Prothesenkomponente ist kompatibel mit dem Ottobock Modularsys
tem. Die Funktionalität mit Komponenten anderer Hersteller, die über kom
patible modulare Verbindungselemente verfügen, wurde nicht getestet.
2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
2.1 Verwendungszweck
Das Produkt ist ausschließlich für die exoprothetische Versorgung der unte
ren Extremität einzusetzen.
2.2 Einsatzgebiet
Unsere Komponenten funktionieren optimal, wenn sie mit geeigneten Kom
ponenten kombiniert werden, ausgewählt auf Basis von Körpergewicht und
Mobilitätsgrad, die mit unserer MOBIS Klassifizierungsinformation identifi
zierbar sind, und die über passende modulare Verbindungselemente verfü
gen.

2.4 Nutzungsdauer
Prothesenfuß
Die Nutzungsdauer des Produkts beträgt, abhängig vom Aktivitätsgrad des
Patienten, 2 bis 3 Jahre.
Fußhülle, Schutzsocke
Das Produkt ist ein Verschleißteil, das einer üblichen Abnutzung unterliegt.
3 Sicherheit

5.1 Aufbau
INFORMATION
Am proximalen Anschluss des Prothesenfußes befindet sich ein Adapter
schutz aus Kunststoff. So wird der Anschlussbereich während des Auf
baus und der Anprobe der Prothese vor Kratzern geschützt.
►Entfernen Sie den Adapterschutz bevor der Patient den Werkstatt-/An
probebereich verlässt.
5.1.1 Fußhülle aufziehen/entfernen
INFORMATION
►Ziehen Sie die Schutzsocke über den Prothesenfuß, um Geräusche in
der Fußhülle zu vermeiden.

►Verwenden Sie den Prothesenfuß immer mit Fußhülle.
►Die Fußhülle aufziehen oder entfernen, wie in der Gebrauchsanweisung
der Fußhülle beschrieben.
5.1.2 Grundaufbau
INFORMATION
Verwenden Sie den Prothesenfuß nur mit Fersenkeil.

Ablauf des Grundaufbaus
Benötigte Materialien: Goniometer 662M4, Absatzhöhenmessgerät
743S12, 50:50Lehre 743A80, Aufbaugerät (z.B. L.A.S.A.R. Assembly
743L200 oder PROS.A. Assembly 743A200)
Die Prothesenkomponenten gemäß der folgenden Angaben im Aufbauge
rät montieren und ausrichten:
  Absatzhöhe: Effektive Absatzhöhe (Absatzhöhe Schuh - Sohlen
stärke Vorfußbereich) +5mm
  Sagittale Ausrichtung: Aufbaulinie auf a–p Markierungen der
Fußhülle (3348160)
  Frontale Ausrichtung: Aufbaulinie auf m–l Markierungen der
Fußhülle (3348160)
  Den Prothesenfuß und den Prothesenschaft mit den ausgewählten
Adaptern verbinden. Dabei die Gebrauchsanweisungen der Adap
ter beachten.
  Sagittale Ausrichtung:
Die Mitte des Prothesenschafts mit der 50:50 Lehre ermitteln. Den
Prothesenschaft mittig zur Aufbaulinie einordnen.
Schaftflexion: Individuelle Stumpfflexion +5°
  Die Abduktionsstellung oder Adduktionsstellung beachten.
Grundaufbau TF
►Die Angaben in der Gebrauchsanweisung des Prothesenkniegelenks
beachten.
5.1.3 Statischer Aufbau
• Ottobock empfiehlt den Aufbau der Prothese mit Hilfe des
L.A.S.A.R.Posture zu kontrollieren und bei Bedarf anzupassen.

• Bei Bedarf können die Aufbauempfehlungen (TF-Modular-Beinprothe
sen: 646F219*, TT-Modular-Beinprothesen: 646F336*) bei Ottobock an
gefordert werden.
5.1.4 Dynamische Anprobe
• Den Aufbau der Prothese in der Frontalebene und der Sagittalebene an
passen (z.B. durch Winkeländerung oder Verschiebung), um eine opti
male Schrittabwicklung sicherzustellen.
•TT-Versorgungen: Bei der Lastübernahme nach dem Fersenauftritt auf
eine physiologische Kniebewegung in Sagittal- und Frontalebene ach
ten. Eine Bewegung des Kniegelenks nach medial vermeiden. Bewegt
sich das Kniegelenk in der ersten Standphasenhälfte nach medial, dann
den Prothesenfuß nach medial verschieben. Geschieht die Bewegung
nach medial in der zweiten Standphasenhälfte, dann die Außenrotation
des Prothesenfußes reduzieren.
• Den Adapterschutz des Prothesenfußes nach Abschluss der dynami
schen Anprobe und der Gehübungen entfernen.
5.1.4.1 Fersencharakteristik optimieren
Das Verhalten des Prothesenfußes beim Fersenauftritt und beim Fersenkon
takt während der mittleren Standphase kann durch den Austausch des Fer
senkeils angepasst werden. Der Prothesenfuß wird mit 3Fersenkeilen gelie
fert.
Härtegrade Fersenkeile: Die Fersenkeile lassen sich durch ihre Farben
unterscheiden: (transparent=weich, grau=mittel, schwarz=hart). Ottobock
empfiehlt mit dem grauen Fersenkeil zu beginnen.
1) Den Prothesenfuß leicht auseinander ziehen und den vorhandenen Fer
senkeil entfernen.
2) Den anderen Fersenkeil so ausrichten, dass der Ottobock Schriftzug
aufrecht steht und die Spitze nach anterior zeigt.
3) Den Fersenkeil in den Prothesenfuß einsetzen (siehe Abb.3).
5.2 Optional: Schaumstoffüberzug montieren
Der Schaumstoffüberzug sitzt zwischen Prothesenschaft und Prothesenfuß.
Er wird länger zugeschnitten, um die Bewegungen des Prothesenfußes und
des Prothesenkniegelenks ausgleichen zu können. Während der Beugung
des Prothesenkniegelenks wird der Schaumstoffüberzug posterior gestaucht
und anterior gedehnt. Um die Haltbarkeit zu erhöhen, sollte der Schaumstof
füberzug so wenig wie möglich gedehnt werden. Am Prothesenfuß befindet
sich ein Verbindungselement (z.B. Verbindungsplatte, Verbindungskappe,
Anschlusskappe).

>Benötigte Materialien: Entfettender Reiniger (z.B. Isopropylalkohol
634A58), Kontaktkleber 636N9 oder Kunststoffkleber 636W17
1) Die Länge des Schaumstoffüberzugs an der Prothese messen und die
Längenzugabe addieren.
TT-Prothesen: Zugabe distal für die Bewegung des Prothesenfußes.
TF-Prothesen: Zugabe proximal des Kniedrehpunkts für die Beugung
des Prothesenkniegelenks und Zugabe distal für die Bewegung des Pro
thesenfußes.
2) Den Schaumstoffrohling ablängen und im proximalen Bereich am Pro
thesenschaft einpassen.
3) Den Schaumstoffrohling auf die Prothese ziehen.
4) Das Verbindungselement auf die Fußhülle oder den Prothesenfuß set
zen. Je nach Ausführung rastet das Verbindungselement im Rand ein
oder sitzt am Fußadapter.
5) Den Prothesenfuß an der Prothese montieren.
6) Die Außenkontur des Verbindungselements auf der distalen Schnittflä
che des Schaumstoffrohlings anzeichnen.
7) Den Prothesenfuß demontieren und das Verbindungselement entfernen.
8) Das Verbindungselement mit einem entfettenden Reiniger reinigen.
9) Das Verbindungselement gemäß der angezeichneten Außenkontur auf
die distale Schnittfläche des Schaumstoffrohlings kleben.
10) Die Verklebung trocknen lassen (ca. 10Minuten).
11) Den Prothesenfuß montieren und die kosmetische Außenform anpassen.
Dabei die Kompression durch Überziehstrümpfe oder SuperSkin be
rücksichtigen.
6 Reinigung
>Zulässiges Reinigungsmittel: pH-neutrale Seife (z.B. Derma Clean
453H10)
1) HINWEIS! Verwenden Sie nur die zulässigen Reinigungsmittel, um
Produktschäden zu vermeiden.
Das Produkt mit klarem Süßwasser und pH-neutraler Seife reinigen.
2) Die Seifenreste mit klarem Süßwasser abspülen. Dabei die Fußhülle so
oft ausspülen, bis alle Verschmutzungen entfernt sind.
3) Das Produkt mit einem weichen Tuch abtrocknen.
4) Die Restfeuchtigkeit an der Luft trocknen lassen.
7 Wartung
►Die Prothesenkomponenten nach den ersten 30Tagen Gebrauch einer
Sichtprüfung und Funktionsprüfung unterziehen.

►Die komplette Prothese während der normalen Konsultation auf Abnut
zung überprüfen.
►Jährliche Sicherheitskontrollen durchführen.
8 Entsorgung
Das Produkt darf nicht überall mit unsortiertem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Eine unsachgemäße Entsorgung kann sich schädlich auf die Umwelt und
die Gesundheit auswirken. Beachten Sie die Angaben der zuständigen Be
hörde Ihres Landes zu Rückgabe, Sammel- und Entsorgungsverfahren.
9 Rechtliche Hinweise
Alle rechtlichen Bedingungen unterliegen dem jeweiligen Landesrecht des
Verwenderlandes und können dementsprechend variieren.
9.1 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet, wenn das Produkt gemäß den Beschreibungen und
Anweisungen in diesem Dokument verwendet wird. Für Schäden, die durch
Nichtbeachtung dieses Dokuments, insbesondere durch unsachgemäße
Verwendung oder unerlaubte Veränderung des Produkts verursacht werden,
haftet der Hersteller nicht.
9.2 CE-Konformität
Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen der Verordnung (EU) 2017/745 über

1.1 Construction and Function
The 1C50 Taleo and 1C53 Taleo LP prosthetic feet are suitable for walking
on various surfaces and for a wide range of speeds. The heel strike is
absorbed by the large, replaceable heel wedge.
Carbon and polymer spring elements permit perceptible plantar flexion at
heel strike, a natural rollover movement and high energy return.
1.2 Combination possibilities
This prosthetic component is compatible with Ottobock's system of modular
connectors. Functionality with components of other manufacturers that have
compatible modular connectors has not been tested.

2 Intended use
2.1 Indications for use
The product is intended exclusively for lower limb exoprosthetic fittings.
2.2 Area of application
Our components perform optimally when paired with appropriate compon
ents based upon weight and mobility grades identifiable by our MOBIS clas
sification information and which have appropriate modular connectors.

5 Preparing the product for use
CAUTION

►Do not grind the prosthetic foot or footshell.
5.1 Alignment
INFORMATION
There is a plastic adapter cover on the proximal connection of the prosthet
ic foot. This protects the connecting section from scratches during the
alignment and trial fitting.
►Remove the adapter cover before the patient leaves the workshop/fit
ting area.
5.1.1 Applying/removing the footshell
INFORMATION
►Pull the protective sock over the prosthetic foot to prevent noises in the
footshell.

►Always use the prosthetic foot with the footshell.
►Apply or remove the footshell as described in the footshell instructions
for use.
5.1.2 Bench Alignment
INFORMATION
Only use the prosthetic foot with the heel wedge.
TT bench alignment
Bench alignment process
Required materials: 662M4 goniometer, 743S12 heel height measuring
apparatus, 743A80 50:50gauge, alignment apparatus (e.g.743L200
L.A.S.A.R. Assembly or 743A200 PROS.A. Assembly)
Assemble and align the prosthetic components in the alignment apparatus
according to the following specifications:
  Heel height: effective heel height (shoe heel height - sole thick
ness of forefoot) +5mm
  Sagittal alignment: alignment reference line on a–p markings
of the footshell (3348160)
  Frontal alignment: alignment reference line on m–l markings of
the footshell (3348160)
  Connect the prosthetic foot and prosthetic socket using the selec
ted adapters. Follow the adapter instructions for use.
  Sagittal alignment:
Determine the centre of the prosthetic socket with the 50:50
gauge. Align the prosthetic socket centrally to the alignment refer
ence line.
Socket flexion: individual residual limb flexion +5°
  Observe the abduction or adduction position.
TF bench alignment
►Observe the information in the prosthetic knee joint instructions for use.
5.1.3 Static Alignment
• Ottobock recommends checking the alignment of the prosthesis using
the L.A.S.A.R.Posture and adapting it as needed.
• If necessary, the alignment recommendations (TF modular leg pros
theses: 646F219*, TT modular leg prostheses: 646F336*) may be
requested from Ottobock.

5.1.4 Dynamic Trial Fitting
• Adapt the alignment of the prosthesis in the frontal plane and the sagittal
plane (e.g.by making angle or slide adjustments) to ensure an optimum
gait pattern.
•TT fittings: Make sure that physiological knee movement in the sagittal
and frontal plane is achieved when the leg begins to bear weight after
the heel strike. Avoid medial movement of the knee joint. If the knee joint
moves in the medial direction in the first half of the stance phase, move
the prosthetic foot in the medial direction. If the medial movement occurs
in the second half of the stance phase, reduce the exterior rotation of the
prosthetic foot.
• Remove the adapter cover from the prosthetic foot after completion of
the dynamic trial fitting and gait training exercises.
5.1.4.1 Optimising the heel characteristics
The behaviour of the prosthetic foot at heel strike and during heel contact in
the mid-stance phase can be adapted by replacing the heel wedge. The
prosthetic foot is delivered with 3heel wedges.
Hardness of the heel wedges: The heel wedges are colour-coded:
(transparent=soft, grey=medium, black=hard). Ottobock recommends start
ing with the grey heel wedge.
1) Pull the prosthetic foot apart slightly and remove the existing heel
wedge.
2) Align the other heel wedge so the Ottobock lettering is the right way up
and the tip points to anterior.
3) Insert the heel wedge into the prosthetic foot (see fig.3).
5.2 Optional: Installing the foam cover
The foam cover sits between the prosthetic socket and prosthetic foot. It is
cut longer in order to compensate for the movements of the prosthetic foot
and prosthetic knee joint. During flexion of the prosthetic knee joint, the foam
cover undergoes posterior compression and anterior elongation. The foam
cover should be stretched as little as possible in order to increase its service
life. There is a connecting element (such asa connection plate, connection
cap or connection cover) on the prosthetic foot.

>Required materials: degreasing cleaner (e.g.634A58 isopropyl alco
hol), 636N9 contact adhesive or 636W17 plastic adhesive
1) Measure the length of the foam cover on the prosthesis and add the
length allowance.
TT prostheses: Distal allowance for movement of the prosthetic foot.
TF prostheses: Allowance proximal of the knee rotation point for flexion
of the prosthetic knee joint and distal allowance for movement of the
prosthetic foot.
2) Cut the pre-shaped foam cover to length and fit it in the proximal area on
the prosthetic socket.
3) Pull the foam cover over the prosthesis.
4) Set the connecting element onto the footshell or prosthetic foot. Depend
ing on the version, the connecting element engages in the edge or rests
on the foot adapter.
5) Install the prosthetic foot on the prosthesis.
6) Mark the outer contour of the connecting element on the distal face of
the foam cover.
7) Disassemble the prosthetic foot and remove the connecting element.
8) Clean the connecting element using a degreasing cleaner.
9) Glue the connecting element onto the distal face of the foam cover
according to the marked outer contour.
10) Let the glue dry (approx. 10minutes).
11) Install the prosthetic foot and adapt the exterior cosmetic shape. Take
into account compression caused by cosmetic stockings or SuperSkin.
6 Cleaning
>Allowable cleaning agent: pH neutral soap (e.g. 453H10 Derma
Clean)
1) NOTICE! To avoid product damage, only use the allowable clean
ing agents.
Clean the product with clear fresh water and a pH neutral soap.
2) Rinse the soap away with clear fresh water. In doing so, rinse the foot
shell until all dirt has been removed.
3) Dry the product with a soft cloth.
4) Allow to air dry in order to remove residual moisture.
7 Maintenance
►A visual inspection and functional test of the prosthetic components
should be performed after the first 30days of use.
►Inspect the entire prosthesis for wear during normal consultations.
