Vorbildinformation:
Zwischen 1965 und 1978 wurden 268 Diesel-
lokomotiven der Baureihe 42 an die PKP
geliefert. Die vierachsigen Lokomotiven haben
eine Länge über Puffer von 14240 mm, ein
Gewicht von 71 Tonnen und eine Motorleistung
von 590 kW. Die Kraftübertragung erfolgt
dieselelektrisch und die Höchstgeschwindigkeit
liegt bei 90 km/h. Unterteilt ist die Baureihe 42
in drei Serien - die SM als Güterzuglok, die SP
als Personenzuglok und die SU als Universallok.
Auffälligstes Unterscheidungsmerkmal der Loks
ist der auf dem kurzen Vorbau befindliche
Schalldämpfer für die Personenzugheizung.
Typisch für die BR 42 sind die großen Stirnlampen
und der Mittelführerstand. Das Modell gibt die
Proportionen des Vorbildes sehr gut wieder.
Scharfe Gravuren an den Drehgestellen zeigen
Details wie Achslagerdeckel und Federelemente.
Das Gehäuse mit den Lüftergittern, Klappen,
Handstangen und Geländern wurde nach Vorbild-
unterlagen gestaltet. Ein starker Motor treibt über
zwei Kardanwellen alle vier Radsätze des Modells
an. Vorbereitet für den Digitalbetrieb mit Sound
kann das Modell jederzeit auf einfache Weise
umgerüstet werden. Die Lackierung und Beschrif-
tung sind authentisch an das Vorbild angelehnt.
The prototype:
Between 1965 and 1978, 268 diesel locomotives
of the series 42 were delivered to the PKP.
The four-axle locomotives have a length over
buffers of 14240 mm, a weight of 71 tons and
a motor output of 590 kW. The power transmissi-
on is made diesel-electrically and the top speed
is 90 km/h. The series 42 is divided into three
lines – the SM as freight train locomotive, the
SP as passenger train locomotive and the SU
as universal locomotive. The most conspicuous
distinguishing feature of the locomotives is the
sound absorber for the passenger train heating.
The sound absorber is located on the short front
end. The big headlamps and the central driver’s
cab are characteristic for the BR 42. The model
reflects the proportions of the original very well.
Sharp engravings on the bogies show details
such as axle bearing cap and spring elements.
The casing with the fan grilles, flaps, handrails
and guardrails had been modelled following the
documents of the original. All four sets of wheels
of the model are driven by a powerful motor via
two cardan shafts. Prepared for digital operation
with sound, the model can be modified at any
time and in a simple way. The painting and label-
ling adhere authentically to the original.

Entre 1965 et 1978, 268 locomotives diesel de la
série 42 furent livrées à la PKP. Ces locomotives à
4 essieux ont une longueur de 14 240 mm, un poids
de 71 tonnes et une puissance moteur de 590 kW.
Leur vitesse de pointe se situe à 90 km/h.
La série 42 est elle-même répartie en trois sous-
séries : la SM pour le transport de marchandises,
la SP pour le transport de personnes et la SU en
tant que locomotive universelle.
L’élément distinctif le plus marquant de ces
locomotives est le mécanisme de chauffage de la
SP situé sur la partie avant. La série 42 se distingue
également par ses grandes lampes frontales, ainsi
que la cabine centrale du conducteur. Le modèle
PIKO reproduit fidèlement l’original en respectant
parfaitement les proportions : les gravures fines
sur les bogies montrent des détails tels que les
couvercles d’essieux et des éléments d’amortisseurs.
Les grilles de refroidissement, barres, garde-corps,
peinture et tampographie sur la caisse sont
également fidèlement reproduits.
Le modèle est propulsé par un puissant moteur
et deux cardans. Il peut être facilement digitalisé.

lokomotyw typu 6D, które otrzymały oznaczenie
serii SM42. Czteroosiowe maszyny mają 14240 mm
długości, ważą 71 ton i dysponują mocą silnika
590 kW. Przeniesienie napędu realizowane jest
za pomocą przekładni elektrycznej, a prędkość
maksymalna wynosi 90 km/h.
Rodzina tych lokomotyw obejmuje trzy serie:
SM42 – do pracy manewrowej, SP42 (typ 101D) –
do prowadzenia pociągów pasażerskich,
wyposażona w kocioł do ogrzewania parowego,
oraz SU42 – SM42 i SP42 zmodernizowane przez
instalację systemu do elektrycznego ogrzewania
wagonów pasażerskich. Cechą, pozwalającą
odróżnić SM42 od SP42 jest obecność dodatkowe-
go tłumika na krótszym przedziale maszynowym.
Typowe dla tej serii są duże lampy oraz
asymetrycznie umieszczona kabina maszynisty.
Model dobrze odzwierciedla proporcje oryginału,
precyzyjnie wykonane wózki posiadają liczne
detale. Pudło lokomotywy z wywietrznikami,
klapami uchwytami i poręczami wykonano
według oryginalnych planów. Silnik napędza
wszystkie cztery osie modelu. Lokomotywa
jest przygotowana do montażu dekodera
dźwiękowego. Malowanie i nadruki wykonano
zgodnie z pierwowzorem.

If used frequently, oil the wheelsets with a drop of
non-resinous, acid-free sewing machine oil! In order
to achieve the best possible running and traction
properties, it is advisable to run the locomotive in for
25 minutes forwards and 25 minutes in reverse
without load. Clean rails are essential for good
performance.
Ölen Sie bei häufigem Fahrbetrieb die Achslager mit
einem Tropfen harz- und säurefreiem Nähmaschi-
nenöl! Wir empfehlen, die Lok ca. 25 min je Fahrtrich-
tung ohne Belastung einlaufen zu lassen, damit das
Modell einen optimalen Rundlauf und eine gute Zug-
kraft erhält. Bitte beachten Sie, daß der einwandfreie
Lauf des Modells nur auf sauberen Schienen gewähr-
leistet ist.

Si utilisation fréquente, huilez régulièrement avec
une goutte d’huile fine pour machine à coudre.
Nous vous conseillons un rodage complet de 25 min
dans chaque sens pour un roulement optimal.
Il est conseillé de nettoyer régulièrement vos rails
pour un bon fonctionnement.
Przy częstym używaniu lokomotywy należy smarować łożyska
osi kroplą oleju maszynowego nie zawierającego żywic
i kwasów. Aby lokomotywa osiągnęła najlepsze wlaściwości
jezdne i właściwą moc, zalecamy po smarowaniu jeździć
nią bez obciążenia po 25 minut do przodu i do tyłu.
Proszę także pamiętać, iż czyste szyny wpływają także
na prawidłową jazdę modelu.
