FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
•Before fitting the R&G crash protectors, it is advised that a jack is positioned underneath
the bike at a suitable point to support the weight of the engine during fitment. A small
piece of wood should also be placed between the jack and the mounting point to help to
spread the load.
•Starting on the left-hand side of the bike, remove the front engine bolt using a 14mm socket.
•As shown in the diagram on page 3, pre-assemble the crash protector by sliding an M10 washer
(item 7) over the longer M10 bolt (item 5), followed by a shake-proof washer (item 8). Slide the
bolt through one of the crash protectors (item 1), then place the 58mm spacer (item 2) over the
exposed bolt thread.
•Offer the assembly up to the vacant frame mounting and tighten using a 17mm socket until you
feel some compression from inside the protector. Turn a little more so that you feel the
compression increase slightly, then apply a quarter turn. Tighten to 40Nm of torque (do not exceed
this figure, as damage can occur to the motorcycle and the bolt).
PLEASE NOTE, THE CRASH PROTECTOR MUST BE POSITIONED AS IN THE CRASH PROTECTOR
ORIENTATION DIAGRAM ON PAGE 2, WITH THE LARGER END TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE
BIKE.
•Repeat the previous steps for the right-hand side of the bike, using the short spacer (item 4)
between the 2 washers to give the correct bolt length. Ensure the flat side of the remaining spacer
(item 3) sits against the crash protector.
•Finally, fit a cap (item 9) to both crash protectors to neatly hide the bolt heads. If not already
fitted, fit bubble stickers (item 10) into the recess of both crash protector caps.
•Before riding, check both sides are secure, and the crash protectors cannot rotate.
•Check tightness of each side regularly.

The Buyer acknowledges no representation or warranty (other than as to title) has been given or will apply to the Products other
than those in R&G’s order or confirmation and the Buyer confirms it has chosen the Products as being of merchantable quality
and suitable for its particular purposes. Where R&G fits the Products or undertakes other services it shall exercise reasonable
skill and care and rectify any fault free of charge unless the workmanship has been disturbed. The Buyer is responsible for
ensuring that the warranty on the motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return of any defective Products
R&G shall at its option either supply a replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have
been modified or used or maintained otherwise than in accordance with R&G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good
engineering practice or if the defect arises from accident or neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting
its liability for causing death and personal injury, it shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability
shall be limited to the amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect
the Buyer’s statutory rights.
R&G RACING RETURNS POLICY (NON-FAULTY GOODS)
Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned direct to us if
they were purchased direct from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to original vendor. Goods
must be in re-sellable condition, in the opinion of R&G Racing. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25%
of the gross value exc. P&P –at the prevailing price at time of purchase). The customer must pay any and all carriage charges.
No returns of discontinued products, unless within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights and does
not refer to faulty goods.

NOTICE DE MONTAGE
•Avant de monter les protections crash R&G, il est conseillé de placer un cric sous la moto à un
endroit approprié pour supporter le poids du moteur pendant le montage. Un petit morceau de bois
doit également être placé entre le cric et le point de montage pour aider à répartir la charge.
•En commençant par le côté gauche de la moto, retirez le boulon du moteur avant à l'aide d'une
douille de 14 mm.
•Comme indiqué sur le schéma de la page 3, pré-assembler la protection crash en faisant glisser
une rondelle M10 (article 7) sur le boulon M10 le plus long (article 5), puis une rondelle anti-
vibration (article 8). Faites glisser le boulon à travers l'un des prhtections crasg (article 1), puis
placez l'entretoise de 58 mm (article 2) sur le filetage du boulon exposé.
•Présentez l'assemblage sur le support de cadre vacant puis serrez à l'aide d'une douille de 17 mm
jusqu'à ce que vous sentiez une certaine compression de l'intérieur de la protection. Tournez un
peu plus pour sentir la compression augmenter légèrement, puis appliquez un quart de tour. Serrez
à un couple de 40 Nm (ne dépassez pas cette valeur, car la moto et le boulon peuvent
endommager la moto).
VEUILLEZ NOTER QUE LA PROTECTION CRASH DOIT ÊTRE POSITIONNÉE COMME DANS LE
SCHÉMA D'ORIENTATION DE PROTECTION CRASH À LA PAGE 2, AVEC LA PLUS GRANDE
EXTRÉMITÉ VERS L'AVANT DE LA MOTO.
•Répétez les étapes précédentes pour le côté droit de la moto, en utilisant l'entretoise courte (article
4) entre les 2 rondelles pour obtenir la bonne longueur de boulon. Assurez-vous que le côté plat de
l'entretoise restante (article 3) repose contre la protection crash.
•Enfin, placez un capuchon (article 9) sur les deux protections crash pour bien cacher les têtes de
boulons. Si ce n'est pas déjà fait, placez des stickers à bulles (article 10) dans le renfoncement des
deux capuchons de protection.
•Avant de rouler, vérifiez que les deux côtés soient sécurisés et que les protections crash ne
puissent pas tourner.
•Vérifiez régulièrement le serrage de chaque côté

MONTAGEANLEITUNG
•Bevor Sie die R&G Sturzpads montieren, empfehlen wir, einen Heber an einem
geeigneten Montagepunkt unter das Motorrad zu stellen, um somit das Gewicht des
Motors während der Montage zu stützen. Ein kleines Stück Holz sollte zusätzlich
zwischen Montagepunkt und Heber platziert werden, um die Last zu verteilen.
•Beginnen Sie an der linken Seite des Motorrades. Entfernen Sie die vordere Schraube für den Motor
mit einem 14mm Steckschlüssel.
•Das Sturzpad vormontieren wie in der Zeichnung auf Seite 3 abgebildet, indem Sie eine M10
Unterlegscheibe (Artikel 7) gefolgt von einer Zahnscheibe (Artikel 8) an der längeren M10
Schraube (Artikel 5) montieren. Die Schraube in ein Sturzpad (Artikel 1) einsetzen und den
58mm Distanzhalter (Artikel 2) am hervorstehenden Gewinde anbringen.
•Die Einheit an die freie Montageöffnung am Rahmen ansetzen und die Schraube mit einem 17mm
Steckschlüssel festziehen bis Sie etwas Druck vom Inneren des Sturzpads spüren. Noch etwas
drehen, bis Sie merken, dass der Druck sich leicht erhöht, dann noch eine Vierteldrehung
anwenden. Mit 40 Nm Anzugsmoment anziehen (Nicht überdrehen –dies kann zu einer
Beschädigung des Motorrades führen. 40 Nm Anzugsmoment nicht überschreiten!)
BITTE DARAUF ACHTEN, DASS DAS STURZPAD WIE IN DER ZEICHNUNG AUF SEITE 2
POSITIONIERT IST –DAS GRÖSSERE ENDE DES STURZPADS ZUM VORDERTEIL DES
MOTORRADS GERICHTET
•Wiederholen Sie die bereits ausgeführten Schritte nun an der rechten Seite des Motorrads und
benutzen Sie den kürzeren Distanzhalter (Artikel 4) zwischen den 2 Unterlegscheiben, um die
richtige Schraubenlänge zu bekommen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die flache Seite des übrigen
Distanzhalters (Artikel 3) am Sturzpad anliegt.
•Anschließend die Schutzkappen (Artikel 9) an beiden Sturzpads montieren, um die
Schraubenköpfe zu verstecken. Wenn noch nicht bereits montiert, die Bubble-Aufkleber (Artikel
10) in die Vertiefungen der Sturzpads einsetzen.
•Bevor Sie mit dem Motorrad fahren, überprüfen Sie, dass beide Seiten sicher befestigt sind und die
Sturzpads sich nicht drehen können.
•Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, dass die Sturzpads ordnungsgemäß befestigt sind.
