INTRODUCTION
The 10-385 arm board is designed for use with a C-arm image intensifier. It has a radio translucent
top, making it perfect for fluoroscopy of the arms of the patient. Of course, it is also useable as a
traditional arm board to put a drip needle into the arm of the patient.
ABOUT USERS MANUAL
This user manual is for clinical personnel, service personnel and others, who need the knowledge
about and understanding of how the arm board works and how it can be used.
•Read user manual carefully before use of the equipment.
•Always follow the instructions in user manual.
•Always keep user manual close to the equipment.
INSTALLATION
Check by the unpacking, that there are no damages to the equipment and that all parts are received
according to the delivery bill. Also check for loose parts in the box.
The packing material consists of cardboard and plastic, which all can be recycled.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The clamp is of “hook on” model. At attaching to an accessory rail, be aware of that the tooth of the
clamp is on the rear side of the rail before locking the clamp. Lock by turning the clamp lock/release
lever to horizontal position, either to the right or to the left. A slight “click” will appear when the
correct position is reached.
For height adjustment, turn the height adjustment lock/release lever anticlockwise while holding the
arm board with the other hand, adjust to desired height and lock by turning the lever clockwise.
By means of the ball joint the arm board can be put into different angels, both horizontally and
vertically. To adjust, turn the ball joint lock/release lever clockwise, put the plate of the arm board in
desired position and lock by turning the lever anticlockwise.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•A control of the locking function shall be done before every use.
•Service and preventing maintenance must be done by authorized personnel and according to
issued intervals.
•
•Changing of any part in the construction without a written permission from the manufacturer
is strictly forbidden.
•
•CAUTION! When loosen the height adjustment lock/release lever, to adjust the height of the
arm board, the top must be held at the underside to prevent it from uncontrolled
lowering towards the lowest point.
•
•When transferring mobile operating tables with arm board attached, the top of the arm board
should be positioned and locked, in over the operating table, or completely dismounted.
•
•The arm board is designed for a Safe Working Load, evenly applied, of 15 kg. To keep the
valid safety factor according to the European Standard EN 60601-1 and EN 60601-2-46, the
Safe Working Load must not be exceeded. Overload can cause injuries to the patient or
damage the equipment. 15 kg Safe Working Load is correspondent to a patient weight of
200kg.
SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
Be aware of, that service and all kind of repair only must be done by for this purpose educated
personnel.
CLEANING
Clean with soap and tempered water. If necessary, use alcohol as supplement.
CONTROL
Check daily for any kind of damage that could make hazard during use. Also check the
locking functions daily.
ANNUAL SERVICE
Twice a year the arm board shall be carefully cleaned, moving parts and threads shall be
greased with thin white grease and the locking functions shall be carefully tested.
