When operating the rake, please comply with the Resolution of the Minister of Agriculture and
Food Economy of 12.01.1998 on work safety when operating tractors, machines, technical
instruments and devices used in agriculture (Journal of Laws, No. 12/98 item 51.
Never start the rake if it is lifted up.
Never start the rake when persons or animals are present near the machine.
Before starting the tractor, make sure that all drives are turned off.
When operating the rake, the tractor should always be equipped with an operator's cabin.
It is forbidden to operate the rake when driving backwards.
Under any circumstances, do not get underneath the rake, neither transport any persons nor
objects on the machine.
Respect safety labels regarding hazards, and warning signs placed on the machine.
Never leave tractor’s engine running without supervision. Before you leave the tractor, turn off
the engine and remove the key from tractor’s ignition.
In the event of any break in the equipment operation, turn the drive off. Shut down the tractor's
engine, take the ignition key off, leave the cabin and make sure there are no unauthorized
persons in the cabin and close the door.
Do not leave farming machinery on slopes or other descents without having provided sufficient
protection against its free runaway.
No person (except operator) should stand within danger area from any operating part, especially
when operating near roads and in areas with stones and other debris. Keep the safe distance.
It is forbidden to leave the tractor's cabin when driving.
Regularly check pressure in the machine wheels.
When the parts of the machine need replacement, use only original spare parts as described in
the spare parts list.
The machine should be stored under a roof and in a way as to not present any hazard both to
people and animals.
Rotating spring tines and other rotary elements pose danger to health and life of persons
remaining within the machine's working range. Do not touch any moving parts of the machine.
If the machine is stopped bear in mind that it is necessary to use supports to keep its stability.
When cleaning the machine, for health protection use personal protective equipment.
In the event of a serious fault, stop the machine's drive, turn off the tractor's engine and take out
the ignition key. Then call for technical service, and if an accident (in this case: road accident)
occurs, follow first aid rules and contact relevant authorities.
4.2. Qualifications of operator
To provide safe machine operation each person being the machine operator must meet the
following requirements:
Operator should hold driving license, have ability to drive vehicles safely and know road traffic
rules.
Operator must be in proper physical condition to be able to operate the machine.
Operator must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs and medicines, which all have
influence on vehicle driving and machine operation.
Operator should be familiarized with this manual and follow its provisions.
Operator should be familiar with working principles of both the tractor and the machine, and be
able to recognize and avoid hazards resulting from operation of the aggregate.
4.3. Conditions of mounting machine on tractor
Before attaching, check whether hitch categories of the tractor and the attached rake are
compatible, and make sure that load capacity of the tractor's hitch is not lower than weight of
the attached machine.
When attaching the machine examine the technical condition of hitch assembly on both the rake
and the tractor's 3-point linkage.
To mount the rake to the tractor use original pins and protection only.
