SG-24EBseries"Budget"screenlessgranulatorsaresuitableforinstantrecycling
orgranulatinghardandthick materials.WithEuropean-type styleand compact
size,theyfeaturelowrotatingspeed,lowabrasion andsupersoundproof.Unique
cuttingbladesdesignensureswell-proportioned granulesandminimalamountof

serviceengineers. Otherchapterscontaininstructionsforthedailyoperator.
Anymodificationsofthemachinemustbe approved bySHINI inordertoavoid
personalinjuryand damagetomachine.Weshall not beliableforanydamage
causedbyunauthorized changeof themachine.

1.4 SafetyRegulations
Followthe instructionsinthismanualtoavoidpersonalinjuryand damageto
machine components.
Thefollowingsafetymeasuresshall befollowed when operatingthe granulator.
1.4.1SafetySignsand Labels
Electricalinstallation mustonlybe donebyacompetent electrician!
Beforethegranulatorisopened forservicing andmaintenance,always
disconnect the powerwithboththe mainswitchandthe controlswitchon
the granulator.
Neverput anypartofyourbodythroughthe granulatoropenings, unless
boththemainswitchand the controlswitchonthegranulatorarein
"OFF"position.
Highvoltage! Danger!
Thissignisattachedonthecontrolboxand the wiringbox.
Be carefulwiththe rotatingknives, theyareverysharpandcancause
personalinjury!
If therotormust beturned manually-do thiswithgreat care!
Thegranulatorshouldnotbe abletostart beforethehopperandscreen
bracketareproperlyclosed.

1.4.2Transportation andStorageoftheMachine
Transportation
1)SG-24EB seriesofgranulatorsarepackedinplywood caseswithwooden
palletat the bottom, suitableforquick positioningbyforklift.
2)Afterunpacked, castorsequipped onthemachine canbeused foreaseof
movement.
3)Donotrotatethe machine and avoidcollision withotherobjectsduring
transportationtoprevent improperfunctioning.
4)Thestructureof themachineiswell-balanced, althoughitshouldalsobe
handled withcarewhenliftingthemachineforfearoffallingdown.
5)Themachineand itsattachedpartscanbekept atatemperaturefrom
-25 to+55 forlongdistancetransportation and forashort distance,
it can be transported withtemperatureunder+70 .
Storage
1)SG-24E seriesshouldbe stored indoorswithtemperaturekeptfrom5 to
40 and humiditybelow80%.
2)Disconnectall powersupplyand turnoffmainswitchand exigencystop
switch.
3)Keepthewholemachine,especiallythe electricalcomponentsawayfrom
watertoavoidpotentialtroublescaused bythe water.
4)Useplasticfilmtocoverthe machine tightlytoprevent themachine from
dustandrains.
Workingenvironment
Themachineshouldbeoperated:
1)Indoorsinadryenvironment withmax. temperature+45 andhumidity
no morethan80%.
Donotusethemachine:
1)Ifit iswithadamaged cord.
2)Onawet floororwhen it isexposed toraintoavoidelectricshock.

3)Ifithasbeendropped ordamaged untilitischecked orfixedbya
qualifiedserviceman.
4)Thisequipmentworks normallyintheenvironmentwithaltitudeover
3000m.
5)At least1msurroundingspaceisrequested when thisequipmentis
running.Keepthisequipmentawayfromflammablesourcesatleasttwo
meters.
6)Inthe workarea ofvibration andstrongmagneticforce.
Rejectedpartsdisposal
When the equipmenthasrun out itslifetimeand can notbe usedanymore,
unplugthepowersupplyand disposeof it properlyaccordingtolocalcode.
Firehazard!
Incaseoffire, CO2drypowderfireextinguishershouldbeapplied.
Flammablematerialsormaterialswhicharecontaminatedbyflammable
substances/liquidmaynotbeprocessed inthegranulator.Seriousrisk of
fireorexplosion maycausepersonnelinjury.
It isveryimportant totighten the screwasrequired torque.
Whenprocess itemislongerthanfeedport, pleasecut longitemsinto
halfuntil thelengthisshorterbeforeprocessing.
Pleasedon tputmaterialsintothe granulatoriftheyarethinnerthan 2
mmandaresoftandflexible, likerubber.

1.5 Exemption Clause
Thefollowingstatementsclarifytheresponsibilitiesand regulationsbornbyany
buyeroruserwho purchasesproductsand accessoriesfromShini(including
employeesandagents).
Shiniisexemptedfromliabilityforanycosts,fees,claimsandlossescausedby
reasonsbelow:
1.Anycareless orman-madeinstallations, operation and maintenances
uponmachineswithoutreferringtotheManualpriortomachine using.
2.Anyincidentsbeyondhuman reasonablecontrols, whichinclude
man-made viciousordeliberatedamagesorabnormalpower, and
machine faultscaused byirresistiblenaturaldisastersincludingfire,
flood,stormand earthquake.
3.Anyoperationalactionsthatarenotauthorized byShiniuponmachine,
includingaddingorreplacingaccessories,dismantling, deliveringor
repairing.
4.Employingconsumablesoroil mediathatarenotappointed byShini.

2.Structural Features and Working Principle
2.1GeneralDescription
SG-24EB machine-sidegranulatorsaremainlyoperatedbeside the moulding
machine forsmall quantityof granulation, sodon'tputexcessivematerialintoit
when granulating.Thegranulatoriscontrolledbythe mainpowerswitch, start
button, stopbutton, safetyswitchesandemergencystop button.

Thematerialisfedinviafeed box(A)andfallsdownintothe cuttingchamber,the
block materialiscuttedbythe staggered blades(B)andfixed blades(C),then the
materialisgrindedintoeven granulebyteethblade(D) andfixed blades(C).The
granuledirectlyfall intothe collectingbox(E),itdoesnotneed thescreen.The
cuttinghouseiseasytoopen forcleaningandmaintenance.Thegranulecan be
reused directlyafterprocessedorput intootherplaceforstorage.

2.2SafetySystem
Toavoidaccidentalbodilyinjuryduringgranulatorrunning,asetofsafetysystem
hasbeendesigned.High-speed rotatingcutterislocatedinthegranulatorand
subjecttoaccident. So safetysystemhasbeen setuptoprotectbodilysafety.In
anycases, the safetysystemcannotbe changed at random.
Otherwisethe machinewillbe underdangerouscondition and subjecttoaccident
happening.The maintenanceandpreservation ofsafetysystemshall be doneby
professionalstaff.
Incasethesafetysystemofgranulatorischanged,ourcompanywill notperform
ourcommitment. Thereplacementofall sparepartswill be done bySHINI
Company.
2.2.1SafetySwitch
Thecircuitsafetyswitchisequipped on the granulator.Ifthe position ofstorage
boxorfeedboxischanged orthebreakerisloosened,thesafetyswitchwill cutoff
the powersupply.There retwosafetyswitchesonthegranulator:one islocated
between thefeed boxand the cuttingchamberwhilethe otheroneison the inner
wall ofthecuttingchamber, linkedwiththestoragebox.

2.2.2Lock
Thelock ofthismachine isalonghexagonalscrew,whichcan extend thetimeof
dooropeningtoavoidanyinjury.Whenopeningthedoor,thishexagonalscrew
shall beloosened. The looseningwill lastaquitelongperiod oftimetoenablethe
granulatorfullystops,avoidingpersonalinjury.
