1.General Description
Pleasereadthismanualcarefullybeforeusingthismachineinorderto
operatecorrectlyagainst anydamagecaused duetoimproperoperation.
Note!
Alwaystakegreatcarewhen the knivesarewithinreach,theyareverysharpand

SG-23E/30Eseriesof"Standard"centralgranulatorsarebuilttoconformto
sound-proofmodelsbothinsafetyconfiguration andoperationsecurity.Theyare
suitableforcentralizedrecyclingofwastesand rejectedproductsfrominjection,
blowmouldingandextrusion lines.The granulatorsfeatureoptimalstructure,easy
operation and quick bladeschanging.Staggered rotatingbladescan easilygrab
and cut throughthe materialsand ensureslowenergyconsumption.

handlingandservicing.Chapter7,whichcontainsserviceinstructionsintendedfor
serviceengineers. Otherchapterscontaininstructionsforthedailyoperator.
Anymodificationsofthe machine mustbeapproved bySHINIinordertoavoid
personalinjuryand damagetomachine.Weshall notbe liableforanydamage
causedbyunauthorized changeof themachine.

1.4SafetyRegulations
Followthe instructionsinthismanualtoavoidpersonalinjuryand damageto
machine components.
Thefollowingsafetymeasuresshall befollowed when operatingthe granulator.
1.4.1Safetysignsandlabels
Electricalinstallation mustonlybe donebyacompetent electrician!
Beforethe granulatorisopened forservicingand maintenance,always
disconnectthe powerwithboththemainswitchand the controlswitchon
the granulator.
Neverputanypartofyourbodythroughthegranulatoropenings,unless
boththemainswitchand the controlswitchonthegranulatorarein"Off"
position.
Highvoltage! Danger!
Thissignisattachedonthecontrolboxand the wiringbox.
Be carefulwiththe rotatingknives,theyareverysharpandcancause
personalinjury!
If therotormust beturned manually-do thiswithgreat care!
Thegranulatorshouldnotbeabletostartbeforethehopperand screen
bracketareproperlyclosed.
Attention please!
Earprotectionisusedduringgranulatingofplasticmaterials.

Neverremoveprotectivespongeorquick couplingclipsadjacenttothe
outletofstoragebin.
Makesurethepowerhasbeencutoff beforeopeningthefeed box.
Air inlet dust clean.
Attention!
Noneedforregularinspectionbecauseall theelectricalpartsinthecontrol
unit arefixed tightly!
1.4.2Transportation andStorageoftheMachine
Transportation
1)SG-23E/30E seriesofgranulatorsarepackedinplywood caseswith
wooden pallet at thebottom, suitableforquickpositioningbyforklift.
2)Afterunpacked, castorsequipped onthemachine canbeused foreaseof
movement.
3)Donotrotatethe machine and avoidcollision withotherobjectsduring
transportationtoprevent improperfunctioning.
4)Thestructureof themachineiswell-balanced, althoughitshouldalsobe
handled withcarewhenliftingthemachineforfearoffallingdown.
5)Themachineand itsattachedpartscanbekept atatemperaturefrom
-25℃to+55 forlongdistancetransportation and forashort distance,
it can be transported withtemperatureunder+70 .
Storage
1)SG-23E/30E seriesshouldbe stored indoorswithtemperaturekept from
5to40 and humiditybelow80%.
2)Disconnectall powersupplyand turnoffmainswitchand exigencystop
switch
3)Keepthewholemachine,especiallythe electricalcomponentsawayfrom
watertoavoidpotentialtroublescaused bythe water.

4)Useplasticfilmtocoverthe machine tightlytoprevent themachine from
dustandrains.
Workingenvironment
Themachineshouldbeoperated:
1)Indoorsinadryenvironment withmax. temperature+45℃andhumidity
no morethan80%.
Donotusethemachine:
1)Ifit iswithadamaged cord.
2)Onawet floororwhen it isexposed toraintoavoidelectricshock.
3)Ifithasbeendropped ordamaged untilitischecked orfixedbya
qualifiedserviceman.
4)Thisequipmentworks normallyintheenvironmentwithaltitudeover
3000m.
5)At least1msurroundingspaceisrequested when thisequipmentis
running.Keepthisequipmentawayfromflammablesourcesatleast two
meters.
6)Inthe workarea ofvibration andstrongmagneticforce
Rejectedpartsdisposal
When the equipmenthasrunoutitslifetimeandcannotbe used anymore,
unplugthepowersupplyand disposeof it properlyaccordingtolocalcode.
Firehazard!
Incaseoffire, CO2drypowderfireextinguishershouldbeapplied.
Flammablematerialsormaterialswhicharecontaminatedbyflammable
substances/liquidmaynotbeprocessed inthe granulator.Seriousrisk of
fireorexplosion maycausepersonnelinjury.
It isveryimportant totighten the screwasrequired torque.

Whenprocess itemislongerthanfeedport, pleasecutlongitemsintohalf
until thelengthisshorterbeforeprocessing.
Pleasedon`tput materialsintothegranulatoriftheyarethinnerthan 2mm
and aresoft and flexible, likerubber.
1.5 Exemption Clause
Thefollowingstatementsclarifythe responsibilitiesand regulationsbornbyany
buyeroruserwho purchasesproductsandaccessoriesfromShini(including
employeesandagents).
Shiniisexemptedfromliabilityforanycosts,fees,claimsandlossescausedby
reasonsbelow:
1. Anycarelessorman-madeinstallations,operation andmaintenancesupon
machineswithoutreferringtothe Manualpriortomachineusing.
2. Anyincidentsbeyondhumanreasonablecontrols, whichincludeman-made
viciousordeliberatedamagesorabnormalpower,and machine faultscaused
byirresistiblenaturaldisastersincludingfire,flood,stormand earthquake.
3. Anyoperationalactionsthatarenotauthorized byShiniuponmachine,
includingaddingorreplacingaccessories, dismantling,deliveringorrepairing.
4. Employingconsumablesoroil mediathatarenotappointed byShini.

2.Structural Features and Working Principle
2.1GeneralDescription
SG-23E/30Egranulatorisdesignedforgrindingplasticwastetogranulatefor
recycling.Theplasticwasteshouldbefree frommetalpartsand contamination
beforegranulating.Mountmagnetatthefeedporttopreventmetalscrapsfrom
gettingintocuttingchamberandbringsdamagetotheblades.The granulatoris
controlledbystart/stop andemergencystop buttononcontrolpanel.
2.1.1WorkingPrinciple

Theplasticwasteiffeedviafeedport(A)andfallsdownintothecuttingchamber,
whererotaryblades(B)cut theplasticwasteagainstfixedblades(C)togranulate.
Aperforated screen(D) determinesthe sizeofthegranulate.The screen is
locatedinthelowersection ofthe cuttingchamberand can easilybe changed to
givethedesiredgranulatesize.Thegrnulatepassedthescreenandfallsdownin

the storagebin(E).Afterthis,the granulateisreadyforre-useinthe production
machine,ortobe transportedtoacontainerforlateruse.
2.2SafetySystem
Thegranulatorhaskniveswhichrotateathighspeed,thereforeequip-ped witha
safetysystemtoavoidpersonalinjury. The safetysystemmustnotbechanged or
modifiedinanycircumstances.Ifthesafetysy-stemofgranulatorischanged or
modified,the machine can be danger-oustouse,presentingaseriousrick of
personalinjury.
Allmaintenancetothe safetysystemofthe granulatormustbe carried outby
personnelwiththenecessaryknowledge.
2.2.1EmergencyStop
Thegranulatorhasanemergencystopbuttononthecontrolpanelandthe
emergencystopisactivated bypressingthebutton.Resettingiseffected by
turningthebuttoninthedirectionof arrow(anti-clockwise).

2.2.2SafetySwitch
Thegranulatorhassafetyposition switchwithcircuitbreaker,ifasecured
position ischanged orwhen acircuitbreakerisundone,itwillcutthe currentand
the granulatorstops.

Thestarknobswhichonthe hopperandscreenframeareveryimportant
componentsinthesafetysystemofthegranulator.When itisunscrewed,the
bladeshavebeenstoped toavoidpersonalinjuries.
