1.General Description

SG-24Nseriesgranulatorsoperateinsuperlowspeedtocutmaterialsinto
well-proportionedgranules.Thereareleastdustsproducedinthecuttingprocess.
Multiplesecuritydevicesensurehighsafetygrade;automaticreverserunning
functionensurescontinuousoperation.Thisseriesofscreenless granulatorsare
suitableforgranulatinghardandthick materials.

1.4 SafetyRegulations
Followthe instructionsinthismanualtoavoidpersonalinjuryand damageto
machine components.
Thefollowingsafetymeasuresshall befollowed when operatingthe granulator.
1.4.1SafetySignsand Labels
Electricalinstallationmustonlybe donebyacompetent electrician!
Beforethe granulatorisopened forservicingand maintenance,always
disconnectthe powerwithboththe mainswitchand the controlswitchon
the granulator.
Neverputanypartofyourbodythroughthegranulatoropenings,unless
boththe mainswitchand thecontrolswitchon the granulatorarein"OFF"
position.
Highvoltage！danger！
Thissignisattachedonthecontrolboxand the wiringbox.
Be carefulwiththe rotatingknives,theyareverysharpandcancause
personalinjury!
Thegranulatorshouldnotbestartedbeforethefeedboxandstoragebox
areproperlyclosed.
Attention please!
Earprotectionisusedduringgranulatingofplasticmaterials.
Makesurethepower hasbeencut off beforeopenthe feedbox.
SG-24NGranulatorscan notdealwithfibreadded material.

1.4.2Transportation andStorageoftheMachine
Transportation
1)SG-24Nseriesofgranulatorsarepacked inplywood caseswithwooden
palletat the bottom, suitableforquick positioningbyforklift.
2)Afterunpacked, castorsequipped onthemachine canbeused foreaseof
movement.
3)Donotrotatethe machine and avoidcollision withotherobjectsduring
transportationtoprevent improperfunctioning.
4)Thestructureof themachineiswell-balanced, althoughitshouldalsobe
handled withcarewhenliftingthemachineforfearoffallingdown.
5)Themachineand itsattachedpartscanbekept atatemperaturefrom
-25℃to+55℃forlongdistancetransportation and forashort distance,
it can be transported withtemperatureunder+70℃.
Storage
1)SG-24Nseriesshouldbe stored indoorswithtemperaturekeptfrom5℃
to40℃andhumiditybelow80%.
2)Disconnectall powersupplyand turnoffmainswitchand exigencystop
switch.
3)Keepthewholemachine,especiallythe electricalcomponentsawayfrom
watertoavoidpotentialtroublescaused bythe water.
4)Useplasticfilmtocoverthe machine tightlytoprevent themachine from
dustandrains.
Workingenvironment
Themachineshouldbeoperated:
1)Indoorsinadryenvironment withmax. temperature+45℃andhumidity
no morethan80%.

Donotusethemachine:
1)Ifit iswithadamaged cord.
2)Onawet floororwhen it isexposed toraintoavoidelectricshock.
3)Ifithasbeendropped ordamaged untilitischecked orfixedbya
qualifiedserviceman.
4)Thisequipmentworks normallyintheenvironmentwithaltitudeover
3000m.
5)At least1msurroundingspaceisrequested when thisequipmentis
running.Keepthisequipmentawayfromflammablesourcesatleasttwo
meters.
6)Inthe workarea ofvibration andstrongmagneticforce.
Rejectedpartsdisposal
When the equipmenthasrunoutitslifetimeandcannotbeused anymore,
unplugthepowersupplyand disposeof it properlyaccordingtolocalcode.
Firehazard!
Incaseoffire, CO2drypowderfireextinguishershouldbeapplied.
Flammablematerialsormaterialswhicharecontaminatedbyflammable
substances/liquidmaynotbeprocessed inthe granulator.Seriousrisk of
fireorexplosion maycausepersonnelinjury.
It isveryimportanttotighten the screwasrequired torque.
Whenprocess itemislongerthanfeedport, pleasecutlongitemsintohalf
until thelengthisshorterbeforeprocessing.
Pleasedon’tput materialsintothegranulatoriftheyarethinnerthan2mm
and aresoftandflexible, likerubber.

1.5ExemptionClause
Thefollowingstatementsclarifythe responsibilitiesandregulationsbornbyany
buyeroruserwho purchasesproductsandaccessoriesfromShini(including
employeesandagents).
Shiniisexemptedfromliabilityforanycosts,fees,claimsandlossescausedby
reasonsbelow:
1)Anycareless orman-madeinstallations, operation and maintenances
uponmachineswithoutreferringtotheManualpriortomachine using.
2)Anyincidentsbeyondhuman reasonablecontrols, whichinclude
man-made viciousordeliberatedamagesorabnormalpower, and
machine faultscaused byirresistiblenaturaldisastersincludingfire,flood,
stormandearthquake.
3)Anyoperationalactionsthatarenotauthorized byShiniuponmachine,
includingaddingorreplacingaccessories,dismantling, deliveringor
repairing.
4)Employingconsumablesoroil mediathatarenotappointed byShini.

2.Structural Features and Working Principle
2.1GeneralDescription
SG-24Nseriesarebelongto"bythe press"granulator,whichmainlyworks with
the injection moldingmachine tocrushasmall amoutofmaterial. When crushing,
don’tinputexcessivematerials.The granulatorarecontrolled bymainpower
switch, emergencystopbutton, start button, stop button andsafetyswitches.
2.1.1WorkingPrinciple

Thematerialisfedinviaafeed box(A)and fallsdowntothe teethcutters(B),the
block materialiscutted bythe staggered (C) and fixed blades(E),thenthe
materialiscutted intogranuleby(B)and(E).The granuledirectlyfall intothe
storagebin(F),itdoesnotneedthescreen.Thecuttingchamberiseasytoopen
forcleaningand maintenance.Afterthis,thegranulateisreadyforre-useinthe
production machine,ortobetransported toacontainerforlateruse.

2.2SafetySystem
Toavoidaccidentalbodilyinjuryduringgranulatorrunning,asetofsafetysystem
hasbeendesigned.High-speed rotatingcutterislocatedinthe granulatorand
subjecttoaccident.Sosafetysystemhasbeen setup toprotectbodilysafety.In
anycases,the safetysystemcannotbe changed atrandom.Otherwisethe
machine will be underdangerouscondition and subjecttoaccidenthappening.
Themaintenanceand preservation ofsafetysystemshall be donebyprofessional
staff.Incasethe safetysystemofgranulatorischanged,ourcompanywillnot
perform ourcommitment. Thereplacementofall sparepartswill be donebySHINI
Company.
2.2.1EmergencyStopSwitch
Thereisone redbuttonon thecontrolpanel.Upon pushingit, the machine will
stop running.Turnthebuttoninthe arrowdirection asshownon the button,the
button will reset (counter-clockwise).

2.2.2SafetySwitch
Onthegranulatorisequippedthesafetyposition switchforcircuit breaker.Incase
the positionoffeedboxischanged orthe breakerisloosened,itwill cutoffthe
powersupply.Therearetwosafetyswitcheson the granulator:one islocated
between thefeedboxandthecuttingchamberwhiletheotheroneisbetween the
storagebinandmachine body.

Foropeningfeed boxand cuttingchamber,usersneedtoloosen alongstarscrew
(gatelock).Ittakessometimetounscrewthe lock tocompletelystop cuttershaft
and avoidpersonalinjuries.

2)Check ifplugof storagebinsafetyswitchistightened.

warnthe userbysoundingan alarm.
