1. General Description
Pleaseread throughthisoperation manualbeforeusingthe machine to
prevent damagesofthemachineorpersonalinjuries.
SDD seriesdehumidifyingdryercombine dehumidifyingand dryingsystemsintoa
singleunit. Theyhavemanyapplicationsinprocessingplasticmaterials,suchas
PA, PC,PBT,PETetc.All modelsfeatureSD-H honeycombdehumidifierswith
built-inprocess heaterand insulateddryinghopper.Underidealconditions,itcan
provide dehumidified dryair withadew-point lowerthan -40 .

serviceengineers. Otherchapterscontaininstructionsforthedailyoperator.
Anymodificationsofthe machine mustbeapproved bySHINIinordertoavoid
personalinjuryand damagetomachine.Weshall notbe liableforanydamage
causedbyunauthorized changeof themachine.

1.4SafetyRegulations
Warning!
Electricalinstallation shouldbe done byqualifiedtechnicianonly.
BeforeconnectingtoACPowerSource,turnpowerswitchtoOFF
position.
WhileACpowersourceisconnected,makesurespecificationsand
overload protectionratingofthepowerswitcharesuitableandreliable.
When the machine isundercareormaintenancestatus,turnbothpower
switchand automaticoperationswitchtooff.
1.4.1SafetyRegulationsforthe Blowers
1)Undernormaloperation, theblowerswill generatehightemperature. Do
not touchblower's casetoavoidanyphysicalinjury.
2)Undernormaloperation,theblowermotor's currentloadingwill increaseor
reduceaccordingtoairpressure's changeaccordingly.Whileinstallation,
an adequatemotoroverload protection switchshouldbeinstalledwithfull
loadingtest, toensureoperatingsafelyunderfull-loadingtoavoidmotor's
damage.
3)Toavoidanyblock materials, dust, powder, fiberparticlesandwaterdrops
enteringtheblower, and hencecausethedeficiencyof itsperformance.
Thismachine iswell designed withair filters,sopleaseclean up thefilter
withanyforeignparticles(recommended toclean up thisfilterweekly).
4)Clean the blowersbothinternalandexternalparts(especiallyforthe fan
coolingpath),andremovesurfacedust if necessary. Ifmoredustsare
accumulated, itwill causedeficiencyforventilation,temperaturerising,
vacuumpowerreduced, vibration increasedand soit will causemachine
brokedown.
5)Ball bearing, oil sealand soundproofarebelongingtoconsumableparts
and soithasalifeperiod and requiresregularreplacement. Meanwhile,
blade,externalcase,and metallicscreenetc.shouldbereplacedregularly
forbestperformance.
6)Undernormaloperation, ifthe blowersarenot runningsmoothlyor
abnormalnoiseappeared. Pleaseimmediatelyshut downthemachine for

repair.
7)Don'tmanualdischargematerialinsidethehopperwhileitsnotoropening
cleaningdoorwhilethematerialisnot.

Transportation
1)SDD seriesdehumidifyingdryerarepackedincratesorplywood cases
withwooden pallet atthe bottom,suitableforquick positioningbyforklift.
2)Afterunpacked,castorsequippedonthe machine can be usedforeaseof
movement.
3)Donotrotatethemachine and avoidcollision withotherobjectsduring
transportation toprevent improperfunctioning.
4)Thestructureof themachineiswell-balanced, althoughitshouldalsobe
handled withcarewhenliftingthemachine forfearoffallingdown.
5)Themachineand itsattached partscanbekept atatemperaturefrom
-25 to+55 forlong distancetransportation andforashort distance, it
can betransported withtemperatureunder+70 .
Storage
1)SDD seriesdehumidifyingdryershouldbestored indoorswith
temperaturekeptfrom5 to40 and humiditybelow80%.
2)Disconnectall powersupplyand turnoffmainswitchand controlswitch.

3)Keepthewholemachine,especiallythe electricalcomponentsawayfrom
watertoavoidpotentialtroublescaused bythe water.
4)Plasticfilmshouldbeused toprotect the machine fromdustandrains.
Workingenvironment
Indoorsinadryenvironmentwithmax.temperature+45 andhumiditynomore
than80%.
Donotusethemachine
1)If it iswithadamaged cord.
2)Onawetfloororwhenit isexposedtoraintoavoidelectricalshock.
3)If ithasbeendroppedordamageduntil it ischeckedorfixed byaqualified
serviceman.
4)Thisequipment works normallyinthe environment withaltitudewithin
3000m.
5)At leastaclearanceof1msurroundingtheequipment isrequiredduring
operation.Keep thisequipment awayfromflammablesourcesat least two
meters.
6)Avoidvibration, magneticdisturbanceat the operationarea.
Rejectedpartsdisposal
When the equipmenthasrunoutitslifetimeandcannotbe used anymore,
unplugthepowersupplyand disposeof it properlyaccordingtolocalcode.
Firehazard
Incaseoffire, CO2drypowderfireextinguishershouldbe applied.

1.5Exemption Clause
Thefollowingstatementsclarifythe responsibilitiesand regulationsbornbyany
buyeroruserwho purchasesproductsandaccessoriesfromShini(including
employeesandagents).
Shiniisexemptedfromliabilityforanycosts,fees,claimsandlossescausedby
reasonsbelow:
1. Anycarelessorman-madeinstallations,operation andmaintenancesupon
machineswithoutreferringtothe Manualpriortomachineusing.
2. Anyincidentsbeyondhumanreasonablecontrols, whichincludeman-made
viciousordeliberatedamagesorabnormalpower,and machine faultscaused
byirresistiblenaturaldisastersincludingfire,flood,stormand earthquake.
3. Anyoperationalactionsthatarenotauthorized byShiniuponmachine,
includingaddingorreplacingaccessories, dismantling,deliveringorrepairing.
4. Employingconsumablesoroil mediathatarenotappointed byShini.

2. Structure Characteristics andWorkingPrinciple
2.1WorkingPrinciple
Moisturehot air fromdryinghopperisblownintorotorafterflowingthroughcooler.
Moisturefromthe air isdried byrotorandisthenadsorbedbyregeneration
heatingair.Twostrandsofairflowfunctionon therotor.And withtherotation,
moisturefromtheair isabsorbedandexpelled afterabsorbedregenerationair to
formstablelowdew-point air, whichisdried and heated tothedryingtemperature
and thenisblownintomaterialbarreltoclosedcircletodrymaterial.

2.2RelativeHumidityandDew-point
Relativehumidity:Relativeair humiditymeansrealvaporcontenttosaturated
vaporat thesametemperatureinpercentage.
Dewpoint: itmeansthattemperaturewhenthe saturation vaporbeginstodew.
When therelativehumidityis100%,the ambienttemperatureisthe dewpoint
temperature.Themorelowerofdewpointtemperature(than the ambient
temperature)is,themoreless possibletodew,thatalsomeansthemoredrierthe
air is.Thedewpointwill notbe influencedbytemperature,butinfluenced by
pressure.

2.3WhyChooseSDD
Forthesequalitydeficienciesasbubble,crazing,cracking,poortransparencyare
due toinsufficientdryingofplasticmaterialsbeforemolding,and theengineering
plastics suchas:PC,PA, PBT,PET,Nylon,etc.Thehygroscopicmaterialsused
intheplastics industrysuchasPC,PA, PBT,PET,Nylon,etc.cannotbedried
effectivelybyconventionalhotair dryingsystemsbecausethemoistureenters
inside the particles.Accordingtosuggestion ofthemanufacturer,theplastic
materialscanbecompletelydried bydryingair withdew-point temperature ≤-20 .
However,the SCD sufficientlydehumidifiesanddriestheair inside the
closed-loopsystem,andthe dryair eliminatesthe moisturefastand completelyas
toreachthedryinganddehumidifyingeffect.

2.4Options
lBuilt-intype, whichmeasthat dew-point monitorisinstalled on the
machine,isconvenient tomonitordew-pointtemperature.Add "D"at
the endofthemodelcode.
lPortabletype,whichmeasthatdew-pointmonitorisseparatefromthe
machine, isconvenienttotest dew-point temperatureofdifferent
machines.Add "PD"atthe endof themodelcode.
Dew-point Monitor(portable)
lFormodelsoptionalwithdew-point control,add “DC”atmodelbehind.
“ES”bysettingif dew-point value tocontrolthe regenerationrequired
temperatureautomaticallyand lowerspowerconsumption ofthe
regenerativeheater;Accordingto-40OC~+10OCofdew-point value, the
totalpowerconsumption cansave0~10%.
lFormodelswithenergy-savingdryingmanagement, add “ES”atmodel
behind,standardequipped withHMI touchcontrol,whichcan saveupto
41%of totalpowerconsumption.Volumeusedperhourissettable
between 40~100%asdryingcapacitytosavethe totallypower
consumption of35%~0; Standardequippedwithheat regenerative
recyclerwhichrecyclesthe regenerationair exhaustedheat viaplateheat
exchangerandcansave3%~6%oftotalpowerconsumption.
lFormodelsoptionalwithdryingheat recycler, add “HE”atmodelbehind.
Dehumidifiedlowtemperatureair viaplateheat exchangertorecyclethe
heatofhot-wet returnair, whichcan highertheair temperatureindrying
heaterandlowerthe powerconsumptionofthe heater, thetotalpower
consumption can save0%~19%.
