1.General Description
Pleasereadthismanualcarefullybeforeusingthismachineinorderto
operatecorrectlyagainst anydamagecaused duetoimproperoperation.
Note!
Alwaystakegreatcarewhen the knivesarewithinreach,theyarevery
sharpand can causepersonalinjury.
Forbiddentoprocessflammableortoxicmaterial!
SG-23/30 seriessound-proofcentralgranulatoraresuitableforgranulatingall
kindsofplasticmaterials,includingrejectedpartsfrominjectionmolding,blow
moldingorrecyclingofwastes.Themachinesfeatureoptimized structure,easy
operation,andquick blade replacement.Staggered rotatingbladescan easily
grab andcutmaterials.Thisdesigncan reduceenergyconsumptiontothe
minimum.Thisgranulatorhasvariousmodelswithwide application tomeet
different customers demand.

●SG-23 seriesadoptsstaggered blades, itcan decentralizeworkingload when
granulatingtoincreasecuttingefficiency, Bladeretainerisdesignedforquick
bladereplacement withoutreadjustment.
●SG-30 seriesadoptspaddleblades. It allowsincreasedefficiencyand
reducedenergyconsumption.
●Bladesadopt imported steeltoensurehighqualityand highdurability.
●Full-closed designand sound-proofingensurelownoiselevel.
●Equipped withelectricalcurrent relay, motoroverload protectorandmultiple
safetydevices.
●Cyclone dust separatorcan effectivelyremovethe air fromregrind and
facilitatesthematerialcollecting.
●Dust collectingbagbringseasiness fordustcleaningand reduce
contamination.
●Regrind conveyingsystemasstandard.

correspondingprofessionalexperience.The manualcontainsinstructionsforboth
handlingand servicing.Chapter6containsserviceinstructionsintended forservice
engineers. Otherchapterscontaininstructionsforthedailyoperator.
Anymodificationsofthemachinemustbe approved bySHINI inordertoavoid
personalinjuryand damagetomachine.Weshall not beliableforanydamage
causedbyunauthorized changeof themachine.

1.4SafetyRegulations
Followthe instructionsinthismanualtoavoidpersonalinjuryanddamageto
machine components.
1.4.1Safetysignsandlabels
Electricalinstallation mustonlybe donebyacompetent electrician!
Beforethegranulatorisopened forservicing andmaintenance,turnoff
boththemainswitchand the controlswitchonthegranulator.
Neverput anypartofyourbodythroughthe granulatoropenings, unless
boththemainswitchand the controlswitchonthegranulatorarein"Off"
position.
Highvoltage! Danger!
Thissignisattachedonthecontrolboxand the wiringbox.
Be carefulwiththe rotatingknives, theyareverysharpandcancause
personalinjury!
If therotormust beturned manually-do thiswithgreat care!
Thegranulatorshouldnotbestarted beforethe feedboxand storagebox
areproperlyclosed.
Earprotectionshouldbe used duringgranulatingofplasticmaterials.
Makesurethepowerhasbeencutoff beforeopeningthefeed box.
Feeding blowerwhichrequiresthat the temperatureof regrind and dust
shouldnotbehigherthan 80℃isapplicabletoconveyregrind and dust.
Thefeedingblowerhasgreatsuction powerand itiseasytogetgoodsor
clothessuckedinto, whichwill causepersonalinjury!

ForSG-30,thecutting chambershouldbe heat-processed andthe
bladesmust bechanged beforethegranulatordealwithfibreadded
material.

Noneed of regularinspectionbecauseall theelectricalpartsinthe
electriccomponentsboxarefixed tight！
Warning！
When thislight ison, itmeansoverload workingand growingflow.
Pleasestopfeedinguntil the light isoff.
Attention！
1. Afterthefirst1-2daysofoperating, it snecessarytoloosethefour
screwson motorfixingbaseandthen tighten thisscrewup for
tighteningbelt.
2.Wheneverbelt slipoccurs, pleasetightenupthisscrew.

1.4.2Transportation andStorageoftheMachine
Transportation
1) SG-23/30 seriesofgranulatorarepacked incratesorplywood caseswith
wooden palletatthebottom,whichissuitableforquick positioningbyforklift.
2)Equippedwithcastorsforeaseof movement afterbeingunpacked.
3)Donot rotatethemachineandavoidcollision withotherobjectsduring
transportationtoprevent improperfunctioning.
4)The structureofthe machine iswell-balanced and possessgood handling
devices, however，it alsoshouldbehandled withcarewhen liftingthe
machine toprevent fallingdown.
5)The machine anditsattachedpartscanbekept withatemperaturefrom-25
℃to+55℃forlongdistancetransporotationwhileforashortdistance, it
can betransported withtemperatureunder+70℃.
Storage
1) SG-23/30 seriesshouldbe stored indoorswithtemperaturekept from5℃to
40℃and humiditylowerthan80%.
2)Cut off all powersupplyand turnoff mainpowerswitch.
3)Keepthe wholemachine,especiallythe electricalcomponentsawayfrom
watertoavoidpotentialtroublescaused bythe water.
4)Useplasticfilmtocoverthemachinetightlytopreventthemachine fromdust
and rainwater.
Workingenvironment
Indoorswithadryenvironmentofmaximumtemperature+45℃andhumidity
no morethan80%
Donotusethemachine:
1)Ifit iswithadamaged cord.
2)Onawet floororwhen it isexposed toraintoavoidelectricshock.
3)Ifithasbeendropped ordamaged until it ischeckedorfixed bya
qualifiedserviceman.

1.4.3Rejectedpartsdisposal
When the equipmenthasrunoutitslifetimeand can notbeusedanymore,
unplugthepowersupplyand disposeof it properlyaccordingtolocalcode.
Firealarm!
Incaseoffire, CO2drypowderfireextinguishershouldbeprovided.
Flammablematerialsormaterialswhicharecontaminatedbyflammable
materials/liquidshouldnotbeprocessedinthegranulator.Seriousrisk of
fireorexplosion mayoccur.
It isveryimportant totighten the screwup asrequired.
If materialislongerthan feedport,pleasecut it off until it isshorterthan
the feedport beforeprocessing.
Pleasedon`t put soft and flexiblematerialsthinnerthan2mm, like
rubber, intothegranulator.
1.5 Exemption Clause
Thefollowingstatementsclarifythe responsibilitiesand regulationsbornbyany
buyeroruserwho purchasesproductsand accessoriesfromShini(including
employeesand agents).Shiniisexempted fromliabilityforanycosts,fees,
claimsand lossescaused byreasonsbelow:
1. Anycarelessorwronginstallations, operation and maintenancesupon
machine withoutreferringtotheManualpriortomachineusing.
2. Anyincidentsbeyondhumanreasonablecontrols, whichincludeman-made
viciousordeliberatedamagesorabnormalpower, and machine faults
causedbyirresistiblenaturaldisastersincludingfire,flood, stormand
earthquake.

3. Anyoperationalactionsthatarenotauthorized byShiniuponmachine,
includingaddingorreplacingaccessories,dismantling, deliveringor

2.Structural Features and Working Principle
2.1GeneralDescription
SG-23/30 seriesaresuitableforgranulatingwasteplastics fordirectlyrecycling
use. Beforegranulating, it snecessarytoclean metalscrapsanddirts. Mount
magnetatthematerialinlet topreventmetalscrapsfromgettingintocutting
chamberand bringingdamagetotheblades. Thegranulatoriscontrolled
through"Start/Stop"button and"Emergencystop"button.

and be conveyed viadischargingpipe (F).Usefeedingblowertoabsorbthe
granulatedmaterialsintocyclone dustcollectortoseparatethe air and dust.
Theparticlescan be reused directlyorsenttosomewhereforstorageafter
beinggranulated.
Thefeed boxisfoldable, thusit isveryconvenientforcleaning.
2.2SafetySystem
Thefast-rotatingbladeinthe granulatorisprone toresultinanaccident.
Therefore,the granulatorisequippedwithahighly-securesafetysystemto
avoidaccident duringthe operation.
2.2.1EmergencyStop
Emergencystopisared buttononthecontrolpanel.Oncepress it,thepower
will be cut offandthenthe machinewill stop working.It can be resetbyturning
the button asthe arrowdirection (clockwise).

2.2.2SafetySwitch
Therearesafepositionswitchesinthe granulator.Ifit son orloose,itwill cut
offthe powerand stop the machine.Twosafetyswitchesmaybe involved.One
islocatedbetweenthefeedboxandthecutting chamberandtheotherisonthe
storagebox.

2.2.3StarScrew
Starscrewson feedboxand screenbracketareveryimportantpartsofsafety
operationsystemof thegranulator.When unscrewingthosestarscrews, blades
will stop runningtoavoidpersonalinjury.

Thestarscrewscan tbe loosened unless themachineisnot working.
Beforestartingthe machine,thestarscrewson feed boxand screen
bracketshouldbetightenedup andastorageboxshouldbe assembled.
Then closethe frontdoorofgranulatorand lock it tightly.
