R6010.
.Check that the higher 3 bits of the IP address
matches those of BKS-R6010.
3. Check the IP address of BKS-R6010.
The IP address can be checked by using the terminal
menu “V: DISPLAY UNIT STATUS” of the second-

1-4. Writing the PLD Data
This section describes how to upgrade the PLD version of
each board using the PLD download tool.
Equipment required
.A personal computer equipped with the USB port (For
the target OS, refer to the operation manual supplied
with the PLD Download Tool.)
.PLD Download Tool Ver 3.X or later (for USB port)
(J-7120-220-A)
Connection
1. Connect the PLD Download Tool to the USB port of
the personal computer.
2. Connect the cable (10-pin connector) coming from the
PLD Download Tool to the following connector on the
target board.
Target board Ref. No. Project file No.
CA-72 Board CN800 E-000-004-00-xx
KY-627 Board CN900 E-000-004-01-xx
n
No setup is required in board.
Downloading
1. Start up the PLD Download Tool Software on the
personal computer.
After reading data for upgrading the PLD version,
write the data and confirm that is correctly written.
n
For details of the operation, refer to the operation
manual of the PLD Download Tool
2. Upon completion of downloading, turn off the main
power of the BKS-R6010 once.
1-5. Cleaning for Remote Control Panel
Wipe the remote control panel, switches, and LCD with a
dried cleaning cloth.
Use a cleaning cloth moistened with water or lukewarm
water for persistent stain.
n
Be sure to use a wrung cloth for wiping the remote control
panel since water droplet causes the malfunction.
Do not use any chemical, solvent, or cleaner, or wipe it
hard to avoid damaging it.
1-6. Circuit-Protection Part
This unit is equipped with the positive characteristics
thermister (s) (power thermister) as the circuit protection
element. The positive characteristics thermister limits the
electric current flowing through the circuit as the internal
resistance increases when an excessive current flows or
when the ambient temperature increases.
If the positive characteristics thermister works, turn off the
main power of the unit and inspect the internal circuit of
this unit. After the cause of the trouble is re-moved, turn on
the main power back again. The unit works normally.
It takes about one minute to cool down the positive charac-
teristics thermister after the main power is turned off.

1-7. Unleaded Solder
Boards requiring use of unleaded solder are printed with a
lead free mark (LF) indicating the solder contains no lead.
(Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come
printed with the lead free mark due to their particular size.)
: LEAD FREE MARK
m
.Be sure to use the unleaded solder for the printed circuit
board printed with the lead free mark.
.The unleaded solder melts at a temperature about 40 dC
higher than the ordinary solder, therefore, it is recom-
mended to use the soldering iron having a temperature
regulator.
.The ordinary soldering iron can be used but the iron tip
has to be applied to the solder joint for a slightly longer
time. The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away if
the heated tip is applied for too long, so be careful.

n
The type1 font data is installed as the factory default
setting. This font data corresponds to the English and
Japanese areas.
Preparation
1. Check that the network cable is connected to the
network connecter NETWORK of the unit and
connected to the Ethernet Switch. (Fig. 1)
2. Configure the network setting of the PC used to
download the data to the one that can be connected to
the unit.
m
.Check if the subnet mask corresponds to that of the
unit.
.Check if the upper three digits of the IP address
corresponds to those of the unit.
3. Check the IP address of the unit.
The IP address can be checked in the secondary station
terminal menu “V: DISPLAY UNIT STATUS” or
with the status indicator of the unit.
For the secondary station terminal menu, refer to the
