A7. A maximum ofeightusersmay simultaneously protectthemselvesagainst falling fromaheight
usingtheVi-Go safeclimbingsystem. The distance between theusersmustnotbe less than
1.6m.The actual number of users depends ontheload-bearingcapacityofthe base structure.
A8. The guided type fall arresterthatcomeswith the Vi-Go system mustalwaysbedirectly
attachedto thefrontattachmentpoint ofthefull body harness.
A9. Thefall arrester should always be handledinamannerthatwill protect it from damage or
corrosion.
A10.Thefixation-pointsforthe cable of the Vi-Go system must not be used for securing loads.
A 11.Before andduring the useof the installedfall protection system, the system mustbe visibly
inspectedtoensurethatitisoperatingproperly.

B 1. Important
Beforeinstallation, check whether the component on which theSöllVi-Gosystemisto be fixed
iscapableof withstanding loads resulting from a fall (certificate for stability).Aqualified
engineermust certifythis.
Themaximum length of the cablemaynotexceed 200 m.
Thefollowingcharacteristicloadsform the basis of the certificate of stability: loads resulting
fromdynamicloads due to fall, userloadsandtheindividual weight of the systemcomponents.

C Use
C 1. Important!
Inspectionbefore climbing:
• Beforeeachuse, inspect the cable, the cable tension, thefallarrester, the intermediate
fixingsandthe karabiners for usability.
• Thefallarrestsystemmustnotbe used if defects have been noted or in case of doubts as to
itsproperfunction.Beforefurtherusean inspection by a competent person is needed or the
defectivepartshavetobereplaced.
• Beforeandduring use it should be planned how to effecta rescue safely andeffectively.
C 2. Eachusermustsecure themselves to a separatefall arrester.
C 3. The fallarrester, properly usedinconnectionwith a full bodyharness, protectsitsuser during
ascentanddescent against falls.
C 4. Whenworkinginornexttotheascent route and during jobs and actions that are not a part of
theusual ascent anddescentmovements, the climber mustadditionallysecure themself witha
lanyardinaccordancewithEN354oralanyard for safety harness in accordance with EN 358.
(Securingwithananchordevice). This is also applicable for idle positions that are intended to
beabreak on the fall arrest ladder. Only suitableanchordevicesmust be used for this. In all
thesesituations, the lanyard mustbeheldtightin order topreventafall.
C 5. Important!
Afallarresteraccordingto EN 353-1 shall be used only by persons who:
• havebeentrainedor are otherwise competent
• aresuperviseddirectlybyatrainedor competent person.
C 6. Connectiontothesystem:
