1. Turn chair over.
2. Remove four (4) back
assembly bolts.
3. Remove back assembly and
back angle rear cover. Set back
angle rear cover aside until
reassembly.
4. Flip chair back over. Slide
seat fully forward while holding
the seat slide lever.

5. Locate the white
quick release tab
located on the left
hand side of the chair
(as you sit in it)
between the plates.
6. Lift the quick
release tab (6a) while
lifting the seat slide
lever (6b) and sliding
the seat forward & off.

7. Remove two (2)
screws on each arm.

9. Turn chair over. Hit bottom
of the cylinder with a hammer
(9a) while pulling forward on
the chair base (9b).
10. Remove chair base.
NOTE: If stool chair, loosen
and remove footring.
11. Install the pneumatic
cylinder removal tool (part
number 879100100) on the
top part of the column, as
close as possible to the
control.
12. Apply lifting force to the
column, with one hand. With
the hammer in the other hand,
give the removal tool several
solid hits, on the flat part.
If pneumatic cylinder does not
separate from control, apply
WD-40 where lift is embedded
into control. Wait approx. 20
minutes and repeat step 12.

13. Unsnap front corners of the
engine cover and slide forward
(13a) and remove (13b).
14. To install the new chair
control, begin by reversing steps
13a and 13b.
15. Install cylinder into chair
control.
16. Align base with cylinder
and slide onto cylinder.

NOTE: If installing a stool chair,
reinstall footring prior to base.

17. Flip chair over.
18. Slide the arms onto the chair
control.
19. Attach arms using two (2)
screws per arm. Tighten to 25-35
in/lbs.

20. Align seat with chair control
and engage slots on the bottom of
the seat with the tabs located on
the seat bearings.
21. Slide seat fully backward
while holding the seat slide lever.

22. Sit in chair to seat the cylinder
into the chair control and base.

23. Turn chair over.

24. Install back angle rear cover onto
the edge of the chair control (24a).
Insert the back assembly (24b).
25. Secure using four (4) back
assembly bolts. Tighten to 125 in/lbs.
26. Adjust the pneumatic lever (if
required) to have a 1/4" of free vertical
movement.
27. Turn chair over.
