Preparation
•Whileoperatingthemachine,alwayswearsubstantial
footwear,longtrousers,hardhat,safetyglasses,and
hearingprotection.Longhair,looseclothingorjewelry
maygettangledinmovingparts.Donotoperatethe
equipmentwhenbarefootorwearingopensandals.
•Evaluatetheterraintodeterminewhataccessoriesand
attachmentsareneededtoproperlyandsafelyperform

thejob.Onlyuseaccessoriesandattachmentsapproved
bythemanufacturer.
•Checkthatoperatorspresencecontrols,safetyswitches,
andshieldsareattachedandfunctioningproperly.Donot
operateunlesstheyarefunctioningproperly.
Operation
•Donotoperatetheengineinaconnedspacewhere
dangerouscarbonmonoxidefumescancollect.
•Operatethemachineonlyindaylightoringoodarticial
light.
•Rememberthereisnosuchthingasasafeslope.Travel
ongrassslopesrequiresparticularcare.Toguardagainst
overturning:
–Donotstoporstartsuddenlywhengoingupor
downhill.
–Themachinespeedshouldbekeptlowonslopesand
duringtightturns.
–Stayalertforhumpsandhollowsandotherhidden
hazards.
–Neveroperatethemachineacrossthefaceofthe
slope,unlessthemachineisdesignedforthatpurpose.
•Stayalertforholesintheterrainandotherhiddenhazards.
•Usecarewhenusingheavyequipment.
–Donotturnsharply.Usecarewhenreversing.
–Donotgofromreversetoforwardorforwardto
reversewithoutcomingtoacompletestop.
–Usecounterweight(s)orwheelweightswhen
suggestedintheOperator'sManual.
•Watchoutfortrafcwhencrossingornearroadways.
•Whenusinganyattachments,neverdirectdischargeof
materialtowardbystandersnorallowanyonenearthe
machinewhileinoperation.
•Neveroperatethemachinewithdamagedguards,shields,
orwithoutsafetyprotectivedevicesinplace.Besureall
interlocksareattached,adjustedproperly,andfunctioning
properly.
•Whenloadingwithsand,distributeloadevenly.Operate
thetowvehiclewithextracautionwhenthehopperisfull
ofsand.Keeploadbalancedtopreventitfromshifting.
•DonotgetwaterontheWirelessremotecontroller.
•Donotchangetheenginegovernorsettingsoroverspeed
thetowvehicleengine.Operatingtheengineatexcessive
speedmayincreasethehazardofpersonalinjury.
•Beforeleavingtheoperatorsposition:
–Stoponlevelground.
–Disengagethepowertake-offandtheattachments.
–Changeintoneutralandsettheparkingbrake.
–Stoptheengineandremovethekey.
•Disengagedrivetoattachments,stoptheengine,and
removetheignitionkey:
–beforeclearingblockages;
–beforechecking,cleaning,orworkingonthemachine;
–ifthemachinestartstovibrateabnormally(check
immediately).
•Disengagedrivetoattachmentswhentransportingornot
inuse.
•Stoptheengineanddisengagedrivetoattachment:
–beforerefuelling;
–beforemakinganadjustmentunlessadjustmentcan
bemadefromtheoperator'sposition.
•Reducethethrottlesettingbeforestoppingengine
andclosethefuelshut-offvalveattheconclusionof
operation.
•Keephandsandfeetoutofthehopperwhenthemachine
isoperatingorwhenthehydraulicpowerpackengine,on
thetowvehicle,isrunning.
•Keephandsandfeetawayfromthespinnerassembly
whenthemachineisoperatingorwhenthehydraulic
powerpackengine,onthetowvehicle,isrunning.
•Keephandsfromthehopperguardonthespinnerguard
whenthemachineisoperatingorwhenthehydraulic
powerpackengine,onthetowvehicle,isrunning.
•Lookbehindanddownbeforebackinguptobesureof
aclearpath.
•Slowdownandusecautionwhenmakingturnsand
crossingroadsandsidewalks.
•Donotoperatethemachineundertheinuenceof
alcoholordrugs.
•Lightningcancausesevereinjuryordeath.Iflightning
isseenorthunderisheardinthearea,donotoperate

MaintenanceandStorage
•Tightenanyloosenuts,boltsandscrewstoassure
machineisinsafeoperatingcondition.MakesureTop
Dressermountingpins,pivotpinsandhydrauliccylinder
pinsareinplaceandsecure.
•Neverstoretheequipmentwithfuelinthetankinsidea
buildingwherefumesmayreachanopenameorspark.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringinanyenclosure
anddonotstorenearame.
•Toreducetherehazard,keeptheengine,
silencer/mufer,batterycompartment,drives,andfuel
storageareafreeofgrass,leaves,orexcessivegrease.
Cleanupoilorfuelspillage.
•Replacewornordamagedpartsforsafety.
•Ifthefueltankhastobedrained,dothisoutdoors.

•Disengagedrives,shiftthetransmissiontoNeutral,set
parkingbrake,stopengineandremovekey.Waitforall
movementtostopbeforeadjusting,cleaningorrepairing.
•Shutofffuelwhilestoringortransporting.Donotstore
fuelnearames.
•Parkmachineonlevelground.Neverallowuntrained
personneltoservicemachine.
•Usejackstandstosupportcomponentswhenrequired.
•Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswithstored
energy.
•Disconnectbatterybeforemakinganyrepairs.Disconnect
thenegativeterminalrstandthepositivelast.Reconnect
positiverstandnegativelast.
•Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.Ifpossible,
donotmakeadjustmentswiththeenginerunning.
•Chargebatteriesinanopenwellventilatedarea,away
fromsparkandames.Unplugchargerbeforeconnecting
ordisconnectingfrombattery.Wearprotectiveclothing
anduseinsulatedtools.
•Makesureallhydrauliclineconnectorsaretightandall
hydraulichosesandlinesareingoodconditionbefore
applyingpressuretothesystem.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompinholeleaksor
nozzlesthatejecthydraulicuidunderhighpressure.
Usepaperorcardboard,notyourhands,tosearchfor
leaks.Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecanhave
sufcientforcetopenetratetheskinandcauseserious
injury.Ifuidisinjectedintotheskinitmustbesurgically
removedwithinafewhoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththis
formofinjuryorgangrenemayresult.

returnhosehasaninlinecheckvalve.Ifyoureverse

ornotworkatall.Testthehydraulicsbeforeoperating
themachineforthersttime.
Important:Donotallowthehydrauliclines,the
