1.Ensurethatthemachineisemptyofalluids.If
chemicalshavebeenusedinthemachine,ushthe
systemthoroughlywithcleanwateranddrainthewater;
refertoyourvehicleOperator’sManualforinstructions.
2.Disconnectthenegativebatteryterminalfromthe
battery.

•Donotaimthesprayeratanypersonoranimal.
•Ensurethatalluidhosesandlinesareingood
conditionandallconnectionsandttingsare
tightbeforeapplyingpressuretothesystem.
•Usecardboardorpapertondleaks.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthesystembefore
performinganyworkonit.
•Getimmediatemedicalhelpifuidisinjected
intotheskin.
•Hotliquidsandchemicalscancauseburnsor
otherharm.
TurfCarePrecautionswhile
OperatinginStationaryModes
Important:Undersomeconditions,heatfromthe
engine,radiator,andmufercanpotentiallydamagethe
grasswhenoperatingthesprayerinastationarymode.
Stationarymodesincludetankagitation,handspraying,
orusingawalkingboom.
Usethefollowingprecautions:
•Avoidstationarysprayingwhenconditionsareveryhot
and/ordry,asturfcanbemorestressedduringthese
periods.
•Avoidparkingontheturfwhilestationaryspraying.Park
onacartpathwheneverpossible.
•Minimizetheamountoftimethemachineisleft
runningoveranyparticularareaofturf.Bothtimeand
temperatureaffecthowmuchthegrassmaybedamaged.
•Settheenginespeedaslowaspossibletoachievethe
desiredpressureandow .Thiswillminimizetheheat
generatedandtheairvelocityfromthecoolingfan.
•Allowheattoescapeupwardfromtheengine
compartmentbyraisingtheengineguard/seatassemblies
duringstationaryoperationratherthanbeingforcedout
underthevehicle.RefertoyourOperator’sManualfor
moreinformationonraisingtheseatassemblies.
Note:Useaheatshieldblanketunderneaththevehicle
duringstationaryoperationifyoudesireadditionalheat
protection.ContactanAuthorizedToroDealertoobtaina
Toroheatshieldblanketkitforturfsprayers.
SwitchingfromBoomSpray
ModetoHandSprayMode
1.Stopthemachineandsettheparkingbrake.
WARNING
Drivingwhileusingthehandsprayercan
causelossofcontrol,resultingininjuryor
death.Donotoperatethehandsprayerwhile
driving.
2.Setthethrottle25percentofthewaytowardtheFast
position.
3.EnsurethatthepumpswitchisonandthePro
Control™(ifapplicable)issetinthemanualposition.
4.Ensurethatthetriggerlockonthespraygunislocked.
5.Liftupthelever.
Note:Thelevelofperformanceexperiencedby
theoperatorisdependantuponaccessorypressure
required,accessoryspeedandotheradjustablevariables.
Formostreasonablesettings,attachmentswillmeet
andexceedoperatorrequirements.Pleaseconsultyour
nozzleselectionguideforfurtherinformation.

Sprayer
1.Removethedesiredamountofhosefromhosehooks.
Important:Donotpullthehosewiththespray
gun.Alwaysholdthehoseandpullonitdirectly.
Pullingonthehosewiththegunmaybreakthe
ttingonthegunordamagethehose.
2.Releasethetriggerlock.
3.Directthespraygunnozzleattheareatobesprayed
andpullthetrigger.
4.Releasethetriggerandsetthetriggerlockwhen
nished.
SwitchingfromHandSpray
ModetoBoomSprayMode
1.Presstheratecontrolswitchtoreducethepressure.
2.Setthesprayselectionswitchtotheoffposition.
3.Directthespraygunnozzleatanareawhereitissafe
tospray,releasethetriggerlock,andpullthetrigger
untilallremaininguidisoutofthehose,thensetthe
triggerlock.
4.Wrapthehosearoundthehooksofthetankandsecure
thegunasshowninFigure14.
