Das Vorbild, die BR 152 der DB AG
Um den Bedarf an leistungsstarken Güterzug-
lokomotiven bei der Deutschen BahnAG zu decken
und um die inzwischen überalterten Maschinen der
BR 140 und 150 abzulösen, wurde 1995 die
Entwicklung der BR 152 bei Krauss Maffei inAuftrag
gegeben. Die entstandene Lok war eine Weiter-
entwicklung des Eurosprinter.
Die Lok ist durchgehend wartungsfreundlich modular
aufgebaut, wodurch sich die Reparaturkosten
reduzieren. Da die Lok nur 4-achsig ausgelegt
wurde, kann sie ihre hohe Leistung insbesondere
bei Rampen und nassen Gleisen nicht übertragen
und wird deshalb nur für schnelle und mittelschwere
Güterzüge eingesetzt.

The Prototype, the DB AG Class 152
In 1995, the development contract for the class 152
was awarded to Krauss Maffei to meet the need
for powerful freight locomotives on the German
Railroad, Inc. and to replace the now obsolete class
140 and 150 units. The locomotive that resulted
was a further development of the Eurosprinter.
This locomotive is built up totally on a modular basis
for ease of maintenance, thus reducing repair costs.
Since the locomotive was only designed to be a
four-axle unit, it cannot transmit its high performance
into practice on grades and wet track. It is therefore
used only for fast and medium heavy freight trains.

Le modèle réel, la BR 152 de la DB AG
Afin de couvrir les besoins en puissantes
locomotives pour trains de marchandises et
remplacer les machines des séries 140 et 150,
entre-temps devenues obsolètes, la DBAG a passé
commande en 1995 auprès du constructeur Krauss
Maffei d'une nouvelle machine, la BR 152. Cette
dernière était en fait un développement d'une
locomotive existante, l'Eurosprinter.
La série 152 est une machine entièrement modulaire
afin de faciliter la maintenance et de réduire les
coûts de réparation. Comme cette locomotive ne
possède que 4 essieux, elle n'est guère en mesure
d'utiliser pleinement son énorme puissance sur
voies en rampe et rails humides. On l'utilise donc
surtout pour les trains de marchandises rapides
lourds et mi-lourds.

Het voorbeeld, de BR 152 van de DB AG.
Om aan de behoefte van sterke goedorentrain-
locomotieven bij de Deutschen BahnAG te voldoen
en om de intussen sterk verouderde machines van
de serie 140 en 150 te vervangen werd in 1995
aan Krauss Maffei de opdracht gegeven voor het
ontwikkelen van de BR 152. De zo ontstane
locomotief was een doorontwikkeling van de
Eurosprinter.
De loc is geheel onderhoudsvriendelijk modulair
opgebouwd waardoor de reparatiekosten
gereduceerd werden. Aangezien de locomotief 4-
assig opgebouwd werd, kan ze het grote vermogen
in het bijzonder op hellingen en natte rails niet
overdragen en wordt daarom alleen voor snelle en
middelzware goederentreinen ingezet.

En exploitation par caténaire, tenez compte de ceci:
Poser la locomotive dans le de marche 1 (poste
de condoite 1) avec les roues gauches sur le
rail qui est raccordé au câble bleu.

rijrichting 1 (cabine 1) met de linker wielen op die
rail zetten die met de blauwe draad verbonden is.
