Diese Bedienungsanleitung ermöglicht Ihnen die
korrekte Bedienung des Staurohre Typ S Wöhler
A 450, A 550 und DC 410. Bewahren Sie diese
Bedienungsanleitung dauerhaft auf.
Das Wöhler Staurohr Typ S darf grundsätzlich nur
von fachkundigem Personal für den bestim-
mungsgemäßen Gebrauch eingesetzt werden.
Für Schäden, die aufgrund der Nichtbeachtung
dieser Bedienungsanleitung entstehen, überneh-
men wir keine Haftung.

äße Verwendung
Das Staurohr Typ S ist für die Ventilationsver-
lustmessung in Verbindung mit dem Heizungs-
Check mit den Messgeräten Wöhler A 450, A 550
und DC 410 einzusetzen.

3 Aufbau und Funktionsweise
Die Messung des Ventilationsverlustes mit dem Staurohr Typ S erfolgt nach Brenner-
schluss durch gleichzeitige Messung der Strömungsgeschwindigkeit und der Tempera-
tur im Restkernstrom. Der Benutzer gibt die für die Berechnung des Ventilationsver-
lusts zusätzlich notwendigen Parameter in das Messgerät ein, nämlich die Nennwär-
meleistung, den Durchmesser der Abgasleitung, die Außentemperatur und den Luft-
druck.

HINWEIS!
Das Wöhler Staurohr Typ S liefert bei gleicher
Strömungsgeschwindigkeit ein besseres Nutzsig-
nal als ein normales Prandlrohr. Für eine kalibrier-
te Anze
ige muss daher im Setupmenü des Wöhler
Messgerätes ein Pitotfaktor von 0,93 eingestellt
werden.
•
Parameter ins Wöhler Messgerät (A 450,
A 550 oder DC 410) eingeben bzw. überprü-
fen (Nennwärmeleistung, Durchmesser der
Abgasleitung, Außentemperatur und Luft-
druck). Dabei ist die Bedienungsanleitung des
jeweiligen Messgerätes zu beachten.
•
Drucksensor des Messgerätes nullen.
•
Wöhler Staurohr Typ S entsprechend der
Bedienungsanleitung des Messgerätes an Ge-
rät anschließen.

sung aufklappen und ausrichten.

Sonde, wenn nötig, mit Rändelschrauben auf
den Querschnitt der Abgasleitung anpassen.
HINWEIS!
Diese Anpassung muss vor der eigentlichen
Messprozedur erfolgen, da nach Lösen der Rän-
delschrauben und Einstellen der Eintauchtiefe die
gegenläufige Ausrichtung der Messröhrchen ge-
prüft bzw. eingestellt werden muss.

Messung mit dem Messgerät starten und gemäß
der Bedienungsanleitung des Messgerätes durch-
führen.
Das Messgerät errechnet den Ventilationsverlust
nun automatisch aus der gemessenen Strö-
mungsgeschwindigkeit, den gemessenen Tempe-
raturwerten und den eingegebenen Parametern.
5 Gewährleistung und Service
5.1 Garantie
Jedes Wöhler Staurohr Typ S wird im Werk in
allen Funktionen geprüft und verlässt unser Werk
erst nach einer ausführlichen Qualitätskontrolle.
Bei sachgemäßem Gebrauch beträgt die Garan-
tiezeit auf das Wöhler Staurohr Typ S 12 Monate
ab Verkaufsdatum.
Diese Garantie erlischt, wenn Reparaturen und
Abänderungen von dritter, nicht autorisierter Stelle
an dem Gerät vorgenommen wurden.
5.2 Service
Der SERVICE wird bei uns groß geschrieben.
Deshalb sind wir auch selbstverständlich nach der
Garantiezeit für Sie da.

ren es innerhalb weniger Tage und schicken

This operation manual allows you to safely work
with the S-tube probe Wöhler A 450, A 550 und
DC 410. Please keep this manual for your infor-
mation.
The Wöhler S-tube probe should be employed by
professionals for its intended use only.
Liability is void for any damages caused by not
following this manual.

The measurement of the ventilation loss with the S-tube probe is done 30 seconds
after having switched of the burner. It is based on the determination of the flow speed
and of the temperature of the residual core flow. The user has to enter the parameters
which are necessary for the calculation of the ventilation loss, namely the burner per-
formance, the diameter of the exhaust duct, the outside temperature and the air pres-
sure.

NOTE!
The Wöhler S-tube Pitot probe supplies a better
useful signal than a standard Prandtl tube with the
same velocity. Therefore, it is necessary to select
a Pitot f
actor of 0.93 in the Setup menu in order to
obtain a calibrated display.
•
Enter or check the parameters in the Wöhler
meter (A 450, A 550 or DC 410): burner per-
formance, diameter of the exhaust duct, out-
side temperature and air pressure). Observe
the instructions given in the manual of the me-
ter.
•
Zero the pressure sensor of the meter.
•
Connect the S-tube probe to the meter ob-
serving the instructions of the meter manual.

Insert the closed S-tube through the measurement
opening into the gas line, while the burner is work-
ing.

Fix the S-tube with a cone, open it and direct the
sensors as shown in the figure.
If necessary, adjust the S-tube with the knurled
screws, so that it fits into the gas line.
NOTE!
The S-tube must be adjusted before the meas-
urement procedure starts, since it is required to
check and/or adjust the oppositely running orien-
tation of the measuring tubes after loosening the
knurled screws and adjusting the immersion
depth.
Start the measurement with the meter and follow
the instructions of the meter manual.
The meter will calculate the ventilation loss auto-
matically based on the measured flow speed and
temperature values and the parameters entered
by the user.

5.1 Warranty
Each Wöhler S-tube probe will be tested in all
functions and will leave our factory only after ex-
tensive quality control testing. If used properly, the
warranty period for the Wöhler S-tube probe will
be twelve month from the date of sale.
Service by non-authorized personnel or making
modifications to the analyser voids any warranty.
5.2 Service
Wöhler has built our reputation on excellence in
customer service. Therefore, of course, we are
readily available to assist you after the warranty
period ends.
•
Send us the probe, and we will repair it and
return it to you with our package service.
•
Immediate help is provided by our technical
staff over the telephone.
